OVERHEAT WARNING SYSTEM
The engine has an overheat warning device. If
the engine starts to overheat, the warning
lamp(LED), indicator and “W.TEMP” on the
meter begin to blink and the buzzer sounds.
Also, the engine speed will be limited to about
3,000 r/min.
If this happens, check the water for discharging
from the cooling water pilot outlet(s). If there is
no water discharge at the cooling water pilot
outlet(s) while the engine is running, beach the
vehicle and check the jet intake and impeller for
clogging.

WARNING
Before attempting to remove weeds or
debris from the jet intake or impeller
areas, shut off the engine and remove
the engine stop switch lock-plate from
the stop switch. Severe injury or death
could result from coming in contact with
the rotating parts of the jet pump.
CAUTION:
If you cannot locate and correct the
cause of the overheating, consult a
Yamaha dealer. Continuing to operate at
higher speeds could result in severe
engine damage.

The buzzer will stop sounding if any button
on the multifunction meter is pressed.
