USA TV CONTENT RATINGS
he parental control feature can block programs based on the USA TV Industry ratings. Once you have entered
your password, the Parental Control features are displayed on the screen.

Follow these steps for Digital Mode and Analog Mode.
Press CURSOR or until you see V-chip Setting
highlighted. Press CURSOR or to display the V-chip
Setting menu.

HELPFUL HINTS
Reset in USA TV Content Ratings menu can unblock
all options. Press C to highlight Reset
and press OK to do this.

NOTE: If Parental Control is activated while a TV program
with the rating locked in the USA TV Content Ratings menu
is received for the current channel, a message will appear to
tell you to press OK to enter the password to temporarily
deactivate Parental Control.
NOTE: the following menu illustrations are given for Analog mode only.
When finished, press CLEAR button to clear the menu
from the TV screen.
Press CURSOR or to highlight any rating option
( TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14 or TV-MA). When
highlighted, press OK to set (which will allow
viewing) or (which will allow blocking).
The TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14 and TV-MA each includes
different content themes: FV , V, S, L or D. Press CURSOR
or to select one and press OK to set (which
will allow viewing) or (which will allow blocking).
Press CURSOR or until you see USA TV
Content Ratings highlighted. Press CURSOR or
to display the USA TV Content Ratings menu.
NOTE: locking a lower rating automatically locks all the
higher ratings. Locking a content of a given lower rating
automatically locks all the higher ratings for the same
content. For a given rating, so long as one content is
unlocked, this rating is viewable and only the locked
sub-rating is not viewable.
