1 Ensure that you have set the clock correctly.
2 Press to switch to standby mode.
3 Press and hold SLEEP/TIMER for more
than 2 seconds.
4 Press CD, or TUNER or USB or TAPE to
select a source.
5 Press VOL +/- to set the hour.
6 Press WRFRQÀUP
7 Press VOL +/- to set the minute.
8 Press SLEEP/TIMERWRFRQÀUP
The timer is set and activated.»
To deactivate or re-activate an alarm timer
1 Press TIMER ON/OFF repeatedly.
If the timer is activated, »
is displayed.
If the timer is deactivated, »
disappears.
Tip
In AUX mode, the alarm timer cannot be set.
If disc/USB/tape source is selected but no

activated automatically.
Stop alarm sound
1 When the alarm rings, press SNOOZE.
The alarm stops for 5 minutes.»
Set the sleep timer
This unit can switch to standby automatically
after a set period of time.
1 When the unit is turned on, press SLEEP/
TIMER repeatedly to select a set period
of time (in minutes).
When sleep timer is activated, [SLEEP] »
(sleep) is displayed.
To deactivate sleep timer
1 Press SLEEP/TIMER repeatedly until
[OFF] (off) is displayed.
When sleep timer is deactivated, »
[SLEEP] (sleep) disappears on the
display.
Note
If the USB device does not have enough
memory to store the CD track, a message
about a full memory is displayed.
9 Record to tape
Note
To record, use only “Normal” (IEC type I)
tapes on which the write-protect notches
(tabs) are not broken.
1 Press OPEN/CLOSE on the front panel
to open the tape compartment.
2 Load a tape.
3 Prepare the source to record from.
Disc - Select the disc source and load 
a disc. You can select a track from
which a recording starts.
USB - Select the USB source and 
connect a USB device. You can select

starts.
Radio - Tune to a radio station.
AUX - Select the AUX source, then 
connect and start to play an external
device.
4 Press TAPE REC to start recording.

10 Other features
Set the alarm timer
This unit can be used as an alarm clock. The
disc, radio, USB or tape is activated to play at a
preset time.
