CAUTION
Make sure the continuity of the earthing connection of the household electrical system has been
checked before proceeding with connection. The manufacturer will not be held in any way responsible
in the event of an accident or other problems which may arise from using an appliance without an
earthing connection, or one connected to an earth terminal with faulty continuity.
NOTE: The oven may require intervention by the after-sales service. Also, make sure the electrical socket
is positioned in such a way as to be able to connect the oven when it is out of its housing. Power
supply cable: if the power supply cable needs replacing, please ask the after-sales service or an equally
qualified person to replace it.
1.3 Recommendations
After each oven use, perform a little maintenance to make sure it remains perfectly clean. Do not line
the oven walls with aluminium foil or readily available disposable protective materials. The aluminium
foil sheet or other protective material in direct contact with the heated enamel could melt and damage
the enamel inside the oven. Before installing the appliance, make a note of the serial number for future
reference.
In order to avoid excess soiling of your oven and the ensuing strong unpleasant smell of smoke, we
recommend you refrain from using the oven at excessively high temperatures. It is preferable to prolong
the cooking time and lower the temperature. We advise you to use only oven dishes and cake tins
designed to withstand extremely high temperatures.
1.4 Installation
Appliance commissioning lies under the responsibility of the purchaser, and the manufacturer is not
responsible for this operation. Breakdowns connected to incorrect installation will not be covered by the
guarantee. Incorrect installation may cause injuries to people and to pets; in this case, the manufacturer
cannot be held in any way responsible. Oven installation should be done by an authorised fitter or
equivalent qualified technician. The oven can be fitted at the top of a tall unit or built under a
worktop. Before securing it in place: it is vital to ensure good ventilation in the built-in housing in
order to allow proper circulation of fresh air which is necessary for cooling and for protecting the
internal oven parts. To ensure this, make the openings specified depending on the type of installation
(last page).
1.5 Waste management and protecting the environment
This appliance is marked in compliance with directive 2012/19/EU relating to waste
electric and electronic equipment (WEEE). WEEE contains both pollutants (which may
have negative effects on the environment) as well as base elements (re-usable). It is vital
to ensure WEEE undergoes specific treatments, in order to extract and properly eliminate
all pollutants, and then retrieve and recycle all materials.
Everyone can play an important role in protecting the environment against WEEE. To
achieve this, following a few elementary rules is vital:
WEEE must not be disposed of with regular household waste.
It must be taken to appropriate collection points run by your council or registered companies. In
several countries, you can arrange for bulky WEEE to be collected from your home.
When you purchase a new appliance, you should return the old one to the shop that sold you the
new one, which should collect it free of charge, on a case-by-case basis, provided it is an equivalent
appliance and has the same functions as the one you just purchased.
