Wheels Rims & Spokes
Keeping the wheels true (round) and
maintaining correct spoke tension is critical to
safe vehicle operation.
During the first 600 miles (1,000 km), spokes
will loosen more rapidly due to the initial
seating of the parts.
Excessively loose spokes may result in
instability at high speeds and possible loss of
control.
It is not necessary to remove the wheels to
perform the recommended service in the
Maintenance Schedule.
1.
Inspect the wheel rims and spokes for
damage.
2.
Tighten any loose spokes.
3.
Rotate the wheel slowly to see if it
appears to “wobble.” If it does, the rim is
out of round or not “true.” If the wobble is
noticeable, see your dealer for inspection.
