Black+Decker BDH2020FLFH Questions and Answers

#1 Is the vacuum hose the standard size of a shop vac? Can I use this with a power tool that has a vacuum vent?

Actually, the vacuum is very, very small. (read the specs.) When I got mine, I couldn't believe that it was in such a small box, but it was. Without the stick extension, it is extremely small, but isn't that a Good thing?

#2 Can you buy a replacement battery or is it a throw away like the older ones?

I don't see any obvious way to replace the battery. It doesn't just snap on and off like some of my other Black and Decker devices.

#3 I need a converter that will let me use the crevice tool and the dusting brush on the wand for this item?

No. Both the crevice tool and dusting brush just snap on the end of the hose. There's a little push button.

#4 I drive a school bus and want to use to clean up dirt, grass, paper, etc in the cracks and crevices under the seats...Is it strong enough for that?

Yes, it has a strong suction. A high-performance motor delivers strong suction for messes big and small and the quick charging base keeps Flex vac charged and accessories organized.

#5 Can anybody tell me if this works well for dusting? That's mainly what I would want it for.

Probably depends on what you are dusting. In my experience a feather duster works great and gets in nooks and crannies. This doesn't have an equivalent that would get info little nooks and crannies, but it does have good suction so it might do well so long as you don't have small things it would suck up.

#6 What about battery life/run time?

I have yet to run out of battery power before I finish a job. Stairs took at least 15 mins. It is kind of small for stairs though. I use the small 6 inch attachment from my regular vacuum cleaner on it and that worked out well.

#7 Can anyone with 220-240V sockets verify, that it's working for them without any special device?

It works perfectly well for me on 240V 50Hz supply. Power supply is plugged into the charger base and when vacuum is properly attached a blue light will come on .
