Cafe C2Y366P4TW2 Questions and Answers

#1 Do you lose any BTU when converting from natural gas to propane?

No, you do not lose any BTUs when converting from natural gas to liquid propane. You will however gain BTUs as propane burns hotter than natural gas.

#2 What vent capacity (CFM) does Cafe recommend for this range?

It's nice to hear from you, we hope you had a great Holiday weekend. This is a great question and we are so happy to help with it. Most of our range or cooktop models do not require a ventilation system or have a CFM requirement; however, we recommend checking the local residential codes in your area to see if one is required. Installations without a hood require 48” minimum to combustibles.

#3 The older version had continuous grates to allow for stovetop coffee (Turkish ibrik, Italian moka, etc). Do these newer grates get tight enough in the middle for that?

This model range does allow you to make cooktop coffee. The space in-between the grates are small enough to allow for this. Although these grates are not continuous, they are still rather close to each other.
