#1 Does it start with a button or does it need a pull cord like petrol mowers?

Press the button located on the right hand side of the handle and then pull the top lever towards the handle. There will be a high pitch sound and the engine fires into life. It is so easy to start compared to my previous petrol lawnmower.

#2 Can the self propulsion be used without the cutter blades turning ? ie on way from garage to lawn?

Yes the self propulsion can be used without engaging the cutting blade.

#3 How easy is it to move about without power?

Yes, it is, I usually just lift it, so only the front wheels are in contact with the ground. It can also be wheeled on all 4 wheels with no power also.

#4 Our lawn is sloping with a gradient of 1 in 9. Will the self propelled greenworks mower be powerfull enough to go up the gradient?

My lawn it’s one level, but the lawnmower is amazing and powerful

#5 Can you charge one battery while you are using the other one, or does it need both batteries to work?

No it works on 1 battery at the time. So you can charge already working with the other battery.

#6 Is there a rear roller?

This lawn mower is a self-propelled lawn mower that is power from the rear wheel.

#7 Photo shows just one battery and a single charger - it's supposed to have 2 batteries and a twin charger - is that correct?

Don’t know if there are different models but mine has 2 batteries and a twin charger...

#8 Does anyone know if this lawnmower is meant to shed a very thin plastic type lining that surrounds the base of the machine underneath the rotating bla?

Had my machine for a year and never noticed anything like that.
