Lighting
The lighting can be switched on and off independently
of the fan.
Touch the B symbol.
Setting the brightness
Press and hold the B symbol until the required
brightness is reached.
Saturation display
If the metal grease filters or the activated charcoal filter
are/is saturated, the corresponding symbols flashes
after the appliance is switched off:
■ Metal grease filters: E
■ Activated charcoal filter: F
■ Metal grease filters and activated charcoal filter: E
and F
If you have not yet done so, the metal grease filters
should now be cleaned or the activated charcoal filter
replaced. ~ "Cleaning and maintenance" on page 10
Note: The saturation indicator does not apply for non-
renewable activated charcoal filters that are inserted
downstream of the metal grease filter. These activated
charcoal filters must be replaced twice a year.
The saturation indicators can be reset while they are
flashing. To do this, touch the appropriate symbol.
Switching over the display for air recirculation mode
For air recirculation mode, the electronic controller must
be switched over accordingly:
■ The extractor hood must be connected and switched
off.
■ Touch and hold the D symbol. Touch the "2"
symbol.Take your finger off the D symbol. This
will switch the electronic controller over to air
recirculation mode (filters that cannot be
regenerated).
■ Touch and hold the D symbol. Touch the "3"
symbol.Take your finger off the D symbol. This
will switch the electronic controller over to air
recirculation mode (filters that can be regenerated).
■ Repeatedly touching and holding the D symbol
and touching the "1" symbol switches the electronic
controller back over to air extraction mode.
Audible signal
Switching on
Touch and hold the # and y symbols at the same time
for approximately 3 seconds when the fan is switched
off. An audible signal will sound as an
acknowledgement.

Touch and hold the # and y symbols at the same time
for approximately 3 seconds when the fan is switched
off. An audible signal will sound as an
acknowledgement.

The appliance becomes hot during operation. Allow the
appliance to cool down before cleaning.

Risk of electric shock!
■ Penetrating moisture may result in an electric shock.
Clean the appliance using a damp cloth only. Before
cleaning, pull out the mains plug or switch off the
circuit breaker in the fuse box.
Risk of electric shock!
■ Do not use any high-pressure cleaners or steam
cleaners, which can result in an electric shock.
:Warning – Risk of injury!
Components inside the appliance may have sharp
edges. Wear protective gloves.
Caution!
There is a risk of surface damage if you do not peel off
the protective film.Remove the protective film from all
parts of the appliance before using the appliance for the
first time.
Cleaning agents
To ensure that the different surfaces are not damaged
by using the wrong cleaning product, follow the
instructions in the table. Do not use any of the following:
■ Harsh or abrasive cleaning agents, e.g. scouring
powder or liquid scouring cleaner,
■ Cleaning products with a high alcohol content,
■ Hard scouring pads or cleaning sponges,
■ Pressure washers or steam cleaners,
■ Cleaning products that dissolve limescale,
■ Aggressive all-purpose cleaning products,
■ Oven spray.
Note: Wash new sponge cloths thoroughly before use.
Note: Follow all instructions and warnings included with
the cleaning products.
