Removal
1.
Place your motorcycle on a firm, level
surface.
2.
Remove the fixing bolts and remove the left
brake caliper assembly from the fork leg.

Support the brake caliper assembly so
that it doesn’t hang from the brake hose.
Do not twist the brake hose.

Avoid getting grease, oil, or dirt on the
disc or pad surfaces.

VT1300CX
Do not pull the brake lever while the
brake caliper is removed.
VT1300CXA
Do not pull the brake lever or depress
the brake pedal while the brake caliper is
removed.
3.
Loosen the right and left axle pinch bolts.
4.
Remove the front axle bolt.
