SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards
resulting from a person or pet becoming entangled in, or
tripping over, a longer cord.
2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is
exercised in its use.
3. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the
extension cord must be at least 10 amps and 120 volts. The
resulting extended cord must be arranged so that it will not
drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on
by children or tripped over accidentally.
4. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will t
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a
qualied electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
You can customize the length of the power cord so that it is the
exact length you desire. To increase the length of the power
cord: grasp the power cord (not the power plug) and gently
lift it out of the slot, then pull it away from the coffeemaker. To
decrease the length of the power cord: grasp the power cord
(not the power plug), lift it out of the slot and gently feed it
into the coffeemaker. Lock the cord in the slot when nished.

1. Lift lid of coffeemaker and insert
paper/permanent lter into the
brew basket and add coffee.
2. Remove coffee chamber from the
bottom of the coffeemaker by
holding the side handles and
sliding out.
3. Lift the side locks to release the
chamber lid and remove from
the chamber base. Fill the coffee
chamber with water using the water
markings on the front or back.
4. Pour directly from chamber into
the water reservoir.

b. Snap side locks into place.
c. Using the side handles slide the
reservoir into the unit pressing

Your new MR. COFFEE

coffeemaker has the following features:
• Brewing Capacity – 12 Cups
• Coffee Dispensing Pedal – Drink coffee one cup at a time by dispensing
coffee directly into your cup instead of pouring from a coffee carafe.
• Sealed Coffee Chamber – Keep your coffee hot and fresh inside the sealed
coffee chamber and dispense it when you are ready.
• Removable Filter Basket – The lter basket pulls out for fast and easy
cleaning and lling.
• Pause ‘n Serve – Can’t wait for the coffee to nish brewing? The Pause
‘n Serve feature allows you up to 30 seconds to dispense a cup of coffee
while the coffeemaker is still brewing. Pressing a cup against the coffee
dispensing pedal will automatically activate the feature and temporarily
stop the ow of coffee into the coffee chamber.
• Removable Drip Tray – Any liquid overow from your cup or drips during
dispensing will be caught in the drip tray. Be sure to empty and clean the
drip tray periodically. The drip tray has a snug t to ensure it stays in place
during transit.
• Programmable Controls:
– Clock – The clock serves as a handy kitchen clock and allows you to set
the Delay Brew feature.
– Audible Signal – Alerts you at the end of a brew cycle.
– Delay Brew – Would you like to wake up to a fresh pot of coffee?
The delay brew timer allows you to preset when you would like the
coffeemaker to automatically begin brewing your coffee, up to 24 hours
in advance.
CLEAN YOUR COFFEEMAKER BEFORE
USING THE FIRST TIME
Make sure your rst cup of coffee is as good as can be by cleaning your MR.
COFFEE
®
Coffeemaker before its rst use.
1. Wash the coffee chamber, chamber lid, and brew basket with water and
mild detergent. Rinse each thoroughly (please refer to the parts diagram).
2. Replace all the parts and run a brew cycle with water only, without adding
coffee and coffee lter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your coffeemaker off, discard the water in
the coffee chamber, and assemble your coffeemaker.
Your coffeemaker is now ready to use. Enjoy it!
SETTING THE CLOCK AND DELAY BREW TIME
To Set the Clock:
1. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
The clock will ash on the control panel to indicate that
the time has not been set yet.
2. Press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until you
reach the current time. The PM indicator will light at the
top of the display (Figure 1).
The clock is now set!
NOTE: Pressing any button before setting the clock will cause
the clock to start keeping time from 12:00 a.m. You must set
the clock if you want to use the Delay Brew feature.
To Set the Delay Brew Time:
While the display is in the clock mode, simply press the SET
DELAY button (Figure 2) and, set the brew time by pressing
the HOUR and MINUTE buttons (Figure 3). The PM indicator
will light at the top of the clock display.
Within a few seconds the display will change to the
current time.
The Delay Brew Time is now set.
To activate the DELAY BREW:
1. Make sure the coffee chamber does not contain coffee
and is inserted properly into the coffeemaker.
2. Prepare your coffeemaker by adding water and
ground coffee.
3. Press the DELAY BREW button once. The coffeemaker
is now set to automatically brew at the pre-set time.
4. Cancel the DELAY BREW setting by pressing the DELAY BREW button
so the light turns off.
As a safety feature, your coffeemaker will NOT start again automatically
the next day. If you want your coffee to brew at the same time the
following day, simply add a new lter, coffee and water and set DELAY
BREW, by repeating Steps 2 and 3 above.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINING
YOUR COFFEEMAKER
Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the coffeemaker and allow to cool before cleaning.
Remove the lter basket, coffee chamber, and chamber lid and wash them
in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
CAUTION! Never immerse the coffeemaker itself in water, in any
other liquid or place in the dishwasher.
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance
Decalcifying your MR. COFFEE® Coffeemaker minerals (calcium/limestone)
found in water will leave deposits in your coffeemaker and affect its
performance. It’s recommended that you regularly remove the deposits using
vinegar or a coffee cleaning solution.
1. Pour 4 cups or 20 uid ounces of undiluted, white household vinegar into
the water reservoir.
NOTE: If using a cleaning solution please follow the package instructions.
2. Place an empty paper lter or permanent lter into the brew basket and
slide the brew basket into place.
3. Ensure the coffee chamber is assembled and inserted to the bottom of
the coffeemaker.
4. Press the brew button and allow three cups to brew and shut off the unit.
5. Let the coffeemaker stand for 30 minutes.
6. Turn the coffeemaker back on and allow the remainder of the cleaning
solution to nish.
7. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the coffee chamber with clean
water.
8. Fill the water reservoir with 10-12 cups of fresh, clean water.
9. Assemble and place the coffee chamber back into the coffeemaker.
10. Discard the paper lter from the brew basket or thoroughly rinse
the permanent lter that was used during the brew cycle.
11. Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.
12. Repeat steps 7-11 one more time before brewing your next serving
of hot coffee.

TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR MR. COFFEE

Coffeemaker has been carefully designed to give you many
years of trouble-free service. In the unlikely event that your new coffeemaker
does not operate satisfactorily, please review the following potential problems
and try the steps recommended BEFORE you call an Authorized Sunbeam
Service Center.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINING
YOUR COFFEEMAKER
Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the coffeemaker and allow to cool before cleaning.
Remove the lter basket, coffee chamber, and chamber lid and wash them
in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
CAUTION! Never immerse the coffeemaker itself in water, in any
other liquid or place in the dishwasher.
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance
Decalcifying your MR. COFFEE® Coffeemaker minerals (calcium/limestone)
found in water will leave deposits in your coffeemaker and affect its
performance. It’s recommended that you regularly remove the deposits using
vinegar or a coffee cleaning solution.
1. Pour 4 cups or 20 uid ounces of undiluted, white household vinegar into
the water reservoir.
NOTE: If using a cleaning solution please follow the package instructions.
2. Place an empty paper lter or permanent lter into the brew basket and
slide the brew basket into place.
3. Ensure the coffee chamber is assembled and inserted to the bottom of
the coffeemaker.
4. Press the brew button and allow three cups to brew and shut off the unit.
5. Let the coffeemaker stand for 30 minutes.
6. Turn the coffeemaker back on and allow the remainder of the cleaning
solution to nish.
7. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the coffee chamber with clean
water.
8. Fill the water reservoir with 10-12 cups of fresh, clean water.
9. Assemble and place the coffee chamber back into the coffeemaker.
10. Discard the paper lter from the brew basket or thoroughly rinse
the permanent lter that was used during the brew cycle.
11. Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.
12. Repeat steps 7-11 one more time before brewing your next serving
of hot coffee.

1. Levante la tapa de la cafetera
y coloque un ltro de papel o
permanente en la canasta de
preparado y luego añada el café.
2. Retire la cámara del café de la parte
inferior de la cafetera sosteniéndolo
de las asas laterales y deslizándola

LIMPIE SU CAFETERA ANTES DE USAR

1. Lave la cámara de café, la tapa de la cámara y la canasta para el ltro con

FIJANDO EL RELOJ Y EL TIEMPO
DE PREPARADO DEMORADO
Para jar el Reloj:
1. Enchufe el cordón eléctrico en un tomacorriente eléctrico
estándar. El reloj destellará en el panel de control para
indicar que la hora no ha sido jada aún.
2. Presione y sostenga los botones HORA y MINUTO
hasta que alcance la hora actual. EL indicador de PM se
iluminará en la parte superior de la pantalla. (Figura 1)
El reloj está jado ahora!
NOTA: El presionar cualquier botón antes de jar el reloj
causará que el reloj cuente la hora desde las 12 a.m.. Usted
debe jar el reloj si quiere usar la función de Preparado
Demorado.
Para jar la hora del Preparado Demorado:
Mientras que la pantalla está en la modalidad del reloj,
simplemente presione el botón de Fijar Demora SET DELAY

LIMPIANDO Y MANTENIENDO
SU CAFETERA
Limpieza Diaria
Siempre desenchufe la cafetera antes de limpiar y deje enfriar antes de
limpiar. Remueva la canasta del ltro, la cámara de café y la tapa de la
cámara y lávelos en una solución de agua caliente y jabón líquido suave.
Nunca use limpiadores abrasivos, esponjas de metal u otros materiales
abrasivos.
CUIDADO: nunca sumerja la cafetera en agua u otro líquido ni
coloque en el lavaplatos. .
Limpieza y mantenimiento regulares
Descalcicando su Cafetera Mr.Coffee de los minerales (calcio/cal) que
se encuentran en el agua evitará depósitos en su cafetera que afectan su
rendimiento. Se recomienda que elimine estos depósitos regularmente usando
vinagre o una solución limpiadora de café.
1. vierta 4 tazas o 20 onzas de vinagre blanco de cocina sin diluir en el
depósito de agua.
NOTA: si usa una solución limpiadora siga las instrucciones en el empaque.
2. Coloque un ltro de papel o ltro permanente en la canasta para el ltro y
deslice la canasta en su lugar.
