Snapper 1697340 Questions and Answers

#1 Is it self-propelled?

Firstly, I love this machine. Bailed me out of many feet of both wet and light snow. Yes it propels itself as the rubber blade rotates and, in making contact with the concrete, pulls the machine forward. Good for blacktop and concrete, NOT for gravel as the height is not adjustable. It's meant to be propelled by the blade contacting the ground and gravel would chew the mechanism up and spit the rocks out.

#2 Is this a two stroke or a four stroke?

Since it takes normal gasoline ( no mixing oil with gas) ... I'm guessing that it's a 4 stroke. It's worked very well this winter

#3 Are Single stage snow blowers any good?

They are compact, easy to maneuver and have simple controls, making them a great choice for anyone. Their compact size and ease of use clears light to moderate snow falls quicker than a two-stage unit and are perfect for small to moderate-sized two-car-garage driveways.

#4 What snow depth can a snow blower handle?

Single-stage and two-stage snow blowers can be effective for depths of up to 12 inches. Three-stage units can handle 16 inches of snow or more.
