Calculator Mode
The Organizer’s built-in calculator can perform arithmetic calcula-
tions using up to 12 digits.
In the Main menu, tap
q
to enter Calculator Mode.
Before performing any calculations, tap
c
twice to clear the
display.
• An error occurs if the integer section of the calculation result
exceeds 12 digits, if the memory exceeds 12 digits, or a number
is divided by zero. ("Error!" will be displayed.) Tap
c
to clear
the error message.
To search phrases out of a list of words
1. In the Main menu, tap Phrases to enter the Phrase Mode.
2. Select the desired target language.
3. Tap the Phrase Mode menu on the menu bar.
4. In the list of menu, tap to select (or use
k
or
m
to select, then
press
x
) a “By Word”.
5. Tap to select the desired keyword from the list.
6. Press
x
to show the entire phrase.
7. Press
x
again to view the selected phrase in the target
language.
Note:
• If you choose not to download the phrase database, then approxi-
mately 64 KB of memory space will be utilized by other applications
instead.
Spell Checker Mode
Spell Checker Mode is available for download. Refer to “Downloading
database” on page 32 for details.
The Spell Checker Mode can be helpful when the exact spelling of a
query word is not known.
Searching a word with ambiguous spelling
1. In the main menu, tap Spell to enter the Spell Checker Mode.
2. To check spelling, enter the word
and tap Enter to start checking.
Maximum length of the entry word is
36 characters.
• If the word is correctly spelled, a
message “CORRECT” appears
briefly, then the original screen
with the ‘Correct word’ appears.
• If the spelling of the entry word is found incorrect, then related
words will be listed. If the installed Spell Checker is unable to find
any related word, then a message “NOT FOUND” will be
displayed.
• The Spell Checker Mode looks for a match of a given word against
the downloaded database containing approximately 12000 words.
• Variants of a given word, or the root of a given variant, may not
always be specifically suggested.
• The downloaded database for this Spell checker is utilized also by
the Word Translator; do not delete the database if you intend to
use the Word Translator function.
