GE - General Electric JS750EFES Questions and Answers

#1 Is there enough heat output to scorch the backsplash or counters?

Some gas range models have a heat shield / deflector (also referred to as a back guard eyebrow) located just below the control panel. Slate and Black Slate models and higher BTU range models require a heat shield.

#3 Is there any reason why I should not partially open the oven door to speed up the cooling process after oven use (and thereby shorten fan time and noise)? For example, would this inhibit proper cooling of internal components or electronic controls?

Partially opening the door to speed up the cooling process will not cause any harm to the range. Please use caution as the inner part of the door is hot.
