Midea MAD35C1AWS Questions and Answers

#1 Does this automatically shut off if water tank is full?
Yes, once the tank is filled, the unit stops collecting condensations from the air. One other thing, you typically set the baseline humidity level to 35% as recommended in the instructions. When the humidity in the home nears that level, it continue shut off and then restart when necessary to keep the level in line with that setting. It's a great feature.

#2 The ice builds up on the back till it pushes the plastic out is this normal?
I do not think this is normal . Ours has never done that.

#3 How do I set it to turn off and turn on when I want It? Do I have to set desired humidity level and it will turn off automatically or something else?
Yes you have to set the level of humidity you desire and the compressor will kick in and drop the humidity to that level. Then it will go on stand by until the level goes back up and it will kick back in.

#4 User manual says no extension cord use. I would like to use a 3 prong air conditioner cord, though. Is that possible?
I would think so, as long as it is a heavy duty extension cord you should be fine. A regular extension cord will not handle the current with out over heating.
