#1 Does this unit have a remote? I am hoping so! I just received mine and does not have one in the box however the manual references a remote.

It does not include a remote. I added one that I plug it into. BN-LINK Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch

#2 So you can sit it on a wood surface?

The heating element is at the top of the unit so it should not be that hot at the bottom.

#3 Can it be place stand on top ? Does it get hot ?

It doesn’t seem to get hot on top, if that is what you are asking.
