6. Usage
6.1 Cooking rice
Measure the rice and water and distribute the ingredients evenly in the cooking
vessel. Now place the cooking vessel (9) in the rice cooker and close the lid. De-
pending on the taste and need, you can wash the rice to remove the excess starch.
Simply sr or lt the cooking vessel lled with rice and water, and then drain the
starch water. Please repeat this process unl the water becomes clear. Finally ll
the cooking vessel again with the required amount of water. Connect the supplied
power cord to the appliance and to a properly installed 220-240V AC socket and
press the "Rice" buon (14) on the front of the appliance. The white indicator
starts glowing. The acve cooking process is rst indicated by a display that lights
up in clockwise direcon, and then nally changes to the indicaon of the remain-
ing me (the displayed value counts down about 6 minutes before compleon).
When the cooking process is completed, the rice cooker indicates this acouscally
with ve beeps. The display changes to the current me for the keep-warm mode
in 1-hourly cycle (0 h = 0 to 59 minutes / 1 hour = 1 hour to 1 hour and 59 min-
utes, etc.). If you want to cancel the keep-warm mode, press the "KEEP WARM /
CANCEL" buon (18). Disconnect the power cord from the mains socket aer using
the appliance.
Note: If the rice needs to be kept warm, then the power cord must be connected
and the lid should be in place. The keep-warm funcon will be terminated if the
power cord is removed.
The approximate quanes of rice and water depend on the type of rice.
