Setting Up the System
Unpacking the system
Carefully unpack the carton and confirm that the following parts are
included.
Note: If part of the system is damaged, do not use it. Contact your
authorized Bose
®
dealer or Bose customer service. Refer to
the quick start guide in the carton for contact information.
Save the carton and packing materials for transporting or storing
the system.
Selecting a location
• To enjoy maximum audio performance:
• Place your Wave
®
SoundTouch
™
music system across the
room from where you will be listening.
• Place the system within two feet of a wall, and avoid placing
directly in a corner.
• Place the system on a flat, stable surface.
CAUTIONS:
• Do not place your Wave
®
SoundTouch
™
music system on a metal
surface. It could interfere with AM reception.
• Do not place your Wave
®
SoundTouch
™
music system on a heat-
sensitive surface. Like all electrical equipment, it generates some
heat.
• Do not use your Wave
®
SoundTouch
™
music system in a damp
location or any other place where moisture can get inside.
Connecting the system to the pedestal
The SoundTouch
™
pedestal provides the network connection for
the Wave
®
music system.
1. Place the SoundTouch
™
pedestal on a flat, stable surface.
2. Carefully set your Wave
®
music system on top of the
SoundTouch
™
pedestal.
• Place the rear feet of the Wave
®
music system into the re-
cesses on top of the SoundTouch
™
pedestal.
• Make sure the Wave
®
music system sits flat and the side
edges of both units are aligned.
3. Insert the SoundTouch
™
pedestal’s cable into the Bose link
connector.
