Unpacking the Outdoor Beverage Refrigerator
Types of Installation
This outdoor beverage refrigerator has been designed for freestanding or built-in installation. In
each case, there must be adequate ventilation and access for service.
Freestanding Installation:
A freestanding installation will allow you to install the outdoor beverage refrigerator in almost
any place you desire. You must follow the stated instructions for electrical requirements, and
leveling the outdoor beverage refrigerator.
Built-in Installation:
A recessed installation will allow you to install the beverage cooler under a counter or in a
kitchen cabinet provided the required clearance space around the beverage cooler is
fulfilled. It is necessary to allow adequate ventilation space around the unit, including the
back. The following additional items must be observed:
1. Place the outdoor beverage refrigerator in front of the installation location. Adjust the
feet and place the unit flat on the floor or on a platform depending on your installation
requirements.
2. If the electrical outlet for the outdoor beverage refrigerator is behind the cabinet, plug
in the outdoor beverage refrigerator.
3. Push the outdoor beverage refrigerator into position.
Warning: Do NOT install the outdoor beverage refrigerator behind a closed cabinet door.

7
Important Notes:
• Choose a location that has ambient temperatures above 40° F and below 100° F. Operation
outside these temperatures may result in lowered efficiency or cause other adverse effects.
• This unit MUST be installed in an area protected from the elements, e.g. dust, sand, rain,
water spray or drips, sleet, and snow.
• In a rainy environment, a water-proof covering is recommended.
Installation Clearance Requirements
When installing the outdoor beverage refrigerator under a counter, follow the recommended
spacing dimensions shown.
• To ensure proper service access and ventilation, allow at least
1
/
2
” clearance at the back, 1”
at the top and
1
/2” at the sides. The installation should allow the unit to be pulled forward for
servicing, if necessary.
• The outdoor beverage refrigerator should be installed on a firm and level surface that will
be able to support the entire weight of a fully loaded unit. It is important for the outdoor
beverage refrigerator to be level in order to work properly. If needed, you can adjust the
height of the outdoor beverage refrigerator by rotating the feet. See the “Leveling the
Outdoor Beverage Refrigerator” section.
• A standard electrical supply (115 VAC only, 60 Hz), properly grounded in accordance with
National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances, is required.

8
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
• Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
• Never remove the grounding prong from the plug.
• Never use an adapter to bypass the grounding prong.
• DO NOT use an extension cord.
• Failure to follow these instructions can result in fire, electrical shock, or death.
Important: Once you are ready to install it in a cabinet or directly on the floor, you must adjust
the feet to level the outdoor beverage refrigerator.
Electrical Requirements
Before you move your outdoor beverage refrigerator into its final location, it is important to
make sure you have the proper electrical connection:
A standard electrical supply (115 V, 60Hz), properly grounded in accordance with the National
Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances, is required.
It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your outdoor beverage refrigerator, be
provided. Use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
The fuse (or circuit breaker) size should be 15 Amps.
Recommended Grounding Method
For your personal safety, this appliance must be grounded. It is equipped with a power
supply cord that has a 3-pronged grounding plug. To minimize possible shock hazard, the
cord must be plugged into a mating 3-pronged wall socket and grounded in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances. If a mating wall socket is not
available, it is the personal responsibility of the customer to have a properly grounded, 3-
prong wall receptacle installed by a qualified electrician.
Leveling the Outdoor Beverage Refrigerator
It is important for the refrigerator to be leveled in order to work properly. It
can be raised or lowered by rotating the plastic sheaths around each of the
feet on the bottom of the machine. If you find that the surface is not level,
rotate the feet until the outdoor beverage refrigerator becomes level. You
may need to make several adjustments to level it. We recommend using a
carpenter’s level to check the machine.
1. Place a carpenter’s level on top of the product to see if the refrigerator is
level from front to back and side to side.
2. Adjust the height of the feet as follows:
Turn the leveling feet to the right to lower that side of the refrigerator.
Turn the leveling feet to the left to raise that side of the refrigerator.

9
Installing and Removing the Shelves
To prevent damaging a door gasket, make sure to open the door all the way before pulling the
shelves out of their track.
To Install the Shelves:
1. Open the door completely.
2. Place the back of the shelf onto the shelf track with the front of the shelf elevated at a 45°
angle.
3. Slowly slide the shelf back on the shelf track until it stops.
4. Gently place the front of the shelf down.
To Remove the Shelves:
1. Open the door completely.
2. If necessary, make sure you remove all the contents sitting on the shelf.
3. Pull the shelf forward until it stops.
4. Lift up the front of the shelf and remove it from the unit.
5. Continue to pull the shelf forward until it is completely removed from the inner
compartment.
Installation Check List Before Operation
1. Have all packing materials and tape been removed from the interior and exterior of the
outdoor beverage refrigerator?
2. Have the installation instructions been followed, including connecting the machine to
electricity, and has proper grounding been installed for the outdoor beverage refrigerator?
3. Has the machine been leveled?
4. Is the outdoor beverage refrigerator in a site where the ambient temperature is between
40° F and 100° F all year round?
5. Is the unit installed in an area protected from the elements, e.g. dust, sand, rain, water
spray or drips, sleet, and snow?
6. Is there a clearance of at least ½” at the rear, 1” at the top, and ½” at the sides for proper
air circulation?

12
Warning: Never attempt to remove frost with a sharp object!
Normal Sounds
Your new outdoor beverage refrigerator may make sounds that are not familiar to you. Most of the
new sounds are normal. Hard surfaces like the floor and walls can make the sounds seem louder
than they actually are. The following describes the kinds of sounds that might be new to you and
what may be making them.
• Rattling noises may come from the flow of the refrigerant or the water line. Items stored on
top of the outdoor beverage refrigerator can also make noises.
• The high efficiency compressor may make a pulsating or high-pitched sound.
• Water running from the evaporator to the water bin may make a splashing sound.
• As each cycle ends, you may hear a gurgling sound due to the refrigerant flowing in your
outdoor beverage refrigerator.
• You may hear air being forced over the condenser by the condenser fan.
Defrosting
The unit uses an automatic defrost system in which the refrigerated surfaces of the unit defrost
automatically. Defrost water drains into a hole in the floor of the storage compartment and is
channeled into a drain pan located at the back of the unit near the compressor. Heat
transferred from the compressor evaporates any water that has collected in the pan. Be sure
the drain hole in the floor of the unit is clear and unobstructed.
Preparing the Beverage Refrigerator for Storage
If the beverage refrigerator will not be used for a long time, or is to be moved to another place, it
will be necessary to defrost the unit and dry the interior.
1. Disconnect the cooler from the power supply by removing the power plug from the wall socket.
2. Leave the doors open to allow for air circulation and to prevent mold, mildew, and unpleasant
smells.
Caution: Store the unit out of the reach of children. If you have children, you may want to take
additional precautions such as removing the doors to prevent a child from being trapped
inside the cooler!
Important:
• Do not touch the power plug when your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the unit by pulling on the plug.

13
Cleaning and Maintenance
Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance, and long life.
Exterior Cleaning
Unplug your beverage refrigerator. Clean the outside with a cloth dampened in mild soapy water.
Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. To clean the door gasket, use only mild soapy water. Never use
harsh cleansers or scouring pads to clean any part of your unit.
Interior Cleaning
Unplug your beverage refrigerator and remove its contents. Rinse the inside surfaces with
plain water and dry the chrome racks, basket, and shelving. Avoid getting excess water inside
the machine since it will flow into the water trap near the compressor and possibly overflow.
