GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This heater is only to be used on a 110-120-volt, 15-amp, grounded circuit. Do not use in an outlet
controlled by a switch or dimmer switch. The cord supplied with the heater has a 3-prong plug. The
round pin on the plug is for grounding purposes. If a 3-prong outlet is not available, an adapter must
be used, and the adapter must be properly grounded to an outlet box. Do not plug any appliances
into the same circuit as the heater.
LOCATION OF YOUR FIREPLACE
When choosing a location for your new electric fireplace, ensure the general instructions for
placement are followed. Also, for the best effect, install the fireplace out of direct sunlight. It is safe to
set the fireplace insert close to non-combustibles.
MANTEL INSTALLATION
Please refer to the detailed instructions that came with the mantel you purchased.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
A 15-amp, 120-volt, 60-hz circuit with a properly grounded outlet is required to operate this heater.
Preferably, the fireplace insert will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit
may cause the circuit breaker to trip or blow a fuse when the heater is in operation. This unit comes
with a standard 6-foot long 3-wire cord, exiting out the back of the fireplace insert. Plan the
installation to avoid the use of an extension cord. If an extension cord must be used, it must be a
minimum 14-ga, 3-wire with a grounding-type plug and connector, and rated not less than 1875-
watts. The extension cord shall not be more than 20-feet in length.
