these software updates.
For information on how to update the firmware for the processor, see the help system for ControlSpace
Designer.
Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The processor cannot
power on.
Use the included power cord to connect the processor's power inlet (on the rear
panel) to a power outlet.
Verify that the mains power is active.
The power is on, but
there is no sound.
Verify that there is an input signal from the source using ControlSpace Designer.
The audio input metering should be in the green/yellow band.
Verify that there is an output signal. The audio output signal metering should be
in the green/yellow band.
The sound is distorted. Using ControlSpace Designer, verify that the audio input signal indicator blocks
are not showing solid red or flashing red. If they are, reduce the input pre-gain
setting to where the input is no longer clipping (red).
Using ControlSpace Designer, verify that the audio output signal indicator
blocks are not solid red or flashing red. If they are, and if the input indicators
are green, use ControlSpace Designer to reduce the output gain or any
intermediary gain in the signal path.
If the input and output indicators are green, and if you are sure the output
volume of the audio device is undistorted when it enters the system, verify that
the loudspeakers are not being overdriven and are not damaged.
The processor does
not appear on the
same network as the
computer when using
ControlSpace Designer.
Verify that the processor is fully booted. The Power/Status indicator on the
front panel should appear solid white.
Verify that the LAN settings on the TCP/IP Ethernet device you are using on the
computer are set correctly:
If you are not using a DHCP server, manually set the computer's IP address
to an unused IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.2).
The default IP subnet mask should be set to 255.255.255.0.
Open the firewall settings on the computer, and unblock all ports.
Open the Hardware Manager in ControlSpace Designer, and verify that the
proper Host Network Interface Card Name is selected.
Verify that there is not another device connected to the network with the same
IP address.
See the help system for ControlSpace Designer for detailed steps to ensure the
processor is on the same network as the computer.
