WiFi coverage range will vary depending on your environment and which WiFi band you are connecting to. For optimal coverage, we always recommend installing the router in a central location within your home.

#2 I'm quite tech savvy but opinions on why I should buy this router over a wifi 6 equivalent?

The WiFi 6 routers currently on the market are not final spec they are draft spec. The official spec was just released to companies and they are just now building the final official mass market spec models. If you want real wifi 6 it would be best to wait until 2021 to make sure you have one that will work with ALL the wifi 6 devices that are coming to market. If you need a router now this is a good mid priced router to hald you over until real wifi 6 hits the market.
