Murray 2691476 Questions and Answers

#1 Is the soft bag 60 or 70 litres ?...the info has both figures. Is this mower good for rough ground with stones and thick weeds ?. Thanks for any help

the bag has a 70 liter capacity. With the 28 cm high rear wheels the mower is ideal for less even grounds. But let’s be honest, stones and mowers are never a good combination. This unit does an awesome job manicuring the grass of your lawn. Not so much cutting stones.

#2 The lowest cutting level is still to high is there a spacer that can be fitted behind the blade or can the wheels be adjusted to lower the deck?

I believe you have a saying in the UK that reads "If you can't see the roots, it's not short enough!", don't you? :-) Unfortunately there are no spacers that can be fitted without introducing a serious safety issue. The deck and blade are designed to be as low as possible whilst being compliant with regulation and therefore being safe to operate. We strongly advise against altering that configuration! The other option to lower the deck even more would probably result in scraping the deck over your lawn. Do you require a lower setting than the lowest cutting height of 28 mm? Could it perhaps be you have a thick layer of thatch in your lawn on which the mower "floats"? What would you consider to be the ideal lowest cutting height?

#3 Is this a petrol powered motor, where does the battery come in, is it for a starter motor ?

Mine is an EQ700X and is powered by an internal combustion petrol engine. It is fitted with an manual pull starting cord and does not use a battery to propel it or start the engine. It does have a starter motor fitted that is not electrically connected. The engine starts very easily providing the cutting blade is not in long grass or jammed with grass.
