Bunn HB Questions and Answers

#1 Is there a way to keep the warmer plate on longer than 2 hours, without the machine trying to heat and brew another pot?

Yes, you just hold the brew button for five seconds and it keeps warming the coffee.

#2 Does this coffee maker beep when a programmed brew is finished?

We have not heard a beep, my wife mentioned that recently as a very minor negative of this new brewer but the display changes when brewing cycle complete, goes back to displaying the time.

#3 Can this coffee pot take reusable filters?

Yes it can or you can get the permanent kind

#4 Is there a stainless steel mesh filter for this thing, or do you have to use paper filters?

You do use paper filters in this coffee maker

#5 Does the coffee come out hot or lukewarm?

I tested the water coming out of the dispenser and it ran from 198 to 201 degrees. Apparently that's the perfect range. Using the same coffee beans, the flavor is much smoother and less bitter than our last coffee maker.

#6 Does the Bunn have an auto grind for whole beans?

No, it is slow brewing. Not like our last Bunn that was super fast brewing.
