#1 Does this does this have to be plugged in for it to clean?

Yes, the base kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria. It does need to be plugged in for the UV feature to work. Hope this was helpful.

#2 Does the stand make noise while it is drying the brush head?

Thank you for your question. The built-in heater is silent and won't make any noise while drying the brush. Drying time is typically between 2-6 hours.

#3 How do you know if the uvc light works (is active)? when i lift the cleaning station i do not see any lights

Unit has to be flat for light to be on, it will stay in for 5 mins. You should be able to look down unit when toothbrush is first put in and see light, do not lift up.
