Operation
IMPORTANT! The product is intended for light-duty pruning of

until the blades come to a complete stop before adjusting or
cleaning.

the pruner. Never touch the blade or blade rail while the tool is

pruner is not in use.
Starting + Stopping
1. With the unit securely assembled as hand-held pruner
mode or telescoping pole pruner mode, slide the battery
into the removable battery compartment until it clicks to
into position (Figs. 11 – 12).
2. To use the unit as a hand-held pruner, grab the pruner
with the index nger resting on the trigger switch and the
4 other ngers gripping the handle and squeeze the safety
lock button. When you are ready to make a cut, use your
index nger to squeeze the trigger switch. (Fig. 13). This
will close the blades to make a cut. Release the trigger
switch to open the blades. The pole pruner will return to
the (open) starting position.
NOTE: The safety lock button reduces the risk of accidental
starting.
3. To use the unit as a telescoping pole pruner, balance your
weight with both feet on solid ground and hold the pole
pruner by one handle on the rear handle and the other on
the pole. Position the unit at a proper angle depending on
the specic situation (Fig. 14).
4. Take the proper stance in front of the tree with the pruner
o and press the safety lock button on the rear handle.
When you are ready to make a cut, squeeze the trigger
