Passcode
-Use the code 0000 when pairing with another Bluetooth® device.
- The passcode may appear as Pass key, PIN code, PIN number, or Password depending on the Bluetooth device used.
Note: You can't pair the device with a Bluetooth device that uses a different passcode.

The built-in battery of the portable player should be replaced when the battery life is less than half, even when it has been fully charged.

You can view the firmware version of the portable player even if the unit has been formatted, by viewing the information while connected to a computer. Do the following:
1. Connect the portable player to the computer.
2. Click Start and then click Computer.
3. In the Computer window, click to select WALKMAN.
4. On the menu, click File and then click Properties.
5. The firmware version will be displayed in the WALKMAN Properties window

*To program the car stereo, do the following:
1. Power on the car stereo.
2. Turn the volume down on the car stereo.
3. Set the car stereo to FM.
4. Select an FM frequency between 88.1 MHz and 107.9 MHz that is not currently being used
*To install the transmitter, follow the steps below:
1. Rotate the Frequency select dial to select the same frequency that you set on the car stereo.
2. Connect the stereo mini plug to the headphone jack on the portable audio device.
3. Insert the transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket securely until the frequency channel appears in the frequency display window.
4. Start playback on the portable audio device.
5. Move the antenna cable around inside the car to obtain the best audio reception from the transmitter.

You can download or purchase and then transfer music to your Walkman® player that does not have Digital Rights Management (DRM) copyright protection. Some examples of where you can acquire music would be the Amazon® MP3 Store, Apple® iTunes Music Store® online music store or the Google Play™ store. Once purchased, these files can be saved to your computer and transferred to your Walkman player a variety of ways such as via Windows Media® player or drag and drop directly to your player.
Tracks from a CD can also be ripped in Windows Media Player and the tracks can then be transferred to your
Walkman.
