Yes, the wheels can be taken off.

#2 Does it have tip-over shut off function??

The fireplace does not have a tip over function. If it were to fall over the vents would be blocked causing it to overheat which would trigger the thermostat to shut it off.

#3 What does E1 error means? Smells like burnt and how to troubleshoot it?

The E1 error code means that the overheat sensor has been engaged. Unplug unit, wait 5-10 minutes, then the sensor will reset itself. Plug the unit back in and turn on the heater.
