Meats
Pulse or chop* to process continuous-
ly to desired consistency (add liquid
as needed).
Cut the meat into  - 1 inch
(2.54cm) cubes. Add to bowl and
pulse to chop. Raw meat should
be cold, max. 8 oz.
Mushrooms
Pulse to desired consistency. Cut rm, fresh mushrooms into
quarters or even-size
pieces, no larger than  inch.
Nuts
Pulse to desired consistency. Up to 1 cup. Toast for maximum
avor.
Olives
Pulse to desired consistency. Drained; pitted olives.
Onions
Pulse 5-10 times to chop to desired
size.
Peel; cut into -inch or smaller
pieces of similar size.
Peppercorns
Pulse rst, then chop* continuously
until desired consistency.
Mix peppercorns and dried herbs
or spices or coarse salt to create
rubs and seasonings.
Hard peppercorns may scratch
work bowl and lid.*
Peppers, fresh
Pulse to desired consistency. Core, seed and cut into -inch
pieces. Do not over-chop.
Seeds, dried
berries
Pulse to break up, then chop*
continuously to desired consistency.
Coriander, cumin, dill, fennel,
sesame, poppy, and juniper
berries.
Shallots
Pulse 5-10 times to chop to desired
consistency.
Peel rst; cut into quarters, or
pieces no larger than -inch.
Vegetables,
cooked
Pulse 5-10 times to chop, then
chop continuously until desired
consistency.
Cook vegetables until tender.
Process to a smooth purée for
baby food or sauces; may need to
add liquid for consistency.
