How to maintain your vacuum cleaner
The instructions given in this booklet serve as a guide
to routine maintenance. Keep the cleaner operating at
top efciency. Empty the dust cup after each use.
Empty Dust Cup
Step 1: Slide dust cup latch

Step 2: Pull dust cup

from the nozzle

Step 3: Pull the lter

out of the dust cup

contents of dust cup into a waste container
(Fig. 10).
Step 4: To replace dust cup

, reinstall lter

Step 5: Gently squeeze the sections together until the
dust cup latch

locks the cup in place (Fig. 11).
Clean Dust Cup Filter
Note: Do NOT operate cleaner without the lter in
place. Clean the dust cup lter as necessary.
Step 1: Remove dust cup

Step 2: Pull dust cup lter

frame out of dust cup

Step 3: Shake and brush the dust and dirt from lter

Step 4: If desired, launder the lter

by hand. Wash
lter in warm water using mild detergent.
Note: The dust cup lter is not dishwasher safe.
Do not put in dishwasher.
Step 5: Air dry thoroughly.
Step 6: Replace lter frame in dust cup

by pushing
the seal located at the top in rmly to ensure
proper lter performance.
Replace a dirty or torn lter. Order additional dust cup
lter, part number 61544.
