7. INSTALLATION

7.1 Important safety
requirements
Install the hob accordingly to the IEE Wir-
ing Regulations (Current Edition).
For appliances installed in the Republic of
Ireland please refer to the ETCI Rules for
Electrical Installations.
Detailed recommendations are contained
in the British Standards Codes Of Prac-
tice: B.S. 6172/ B.S. 5440, Par. 2 and
B.S. 6891 Current Editions.
Location
The appliance is of the type X and it has
to be assembled in or adjacent to furni-
ture according to the regulations in force
(I.E.C. 335.2.6).
Make sure that there is a minimum dis-
tance of 55 mm between the rear cut out
edge and the wall.
The minimum distance of 100 mm must
be left between the side edges of the cut
out and adjacent cabinets or walls.
The minimum distance (in line) between
the edges of the hob and flammable ma-
terials above the hob is 400 mm. If the
distance is smaller, separate the flamma-
ble materials from the edges of the hob
by a minimum of 50 mm
Do not fit a cooker hood or combustible
material lower than 650 mm above the
hob.

Ireland please refer to NSAI- Domestic
Gas Installation I.S 813 Current Edition
Section 7- Permitted Locations of Appli-
ance.
7.2 Installation
