produced in a hot water system that has not been

turn on all hot water faucets and let the water fl ow
from each for several minutes. This will release any
accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is fl ammable,
do not smoke or use an open fl ame during this time.
• Do not allow children to play on or in the washer.
Close supervision of children is necessary when the
washer is used near children.
• Before the washer is removed from service or
discarded, remove the door to prevent children from
climbing inside.
• Do not install or store the washer where it will be
exposed to the weather or freezing temperatures.
• Do not tamper with controls.
• Keep the area underneath and around your
appliances free of combustible materials (lint, paper,

DETERGENT DISPENSER DRAWER
This three-compartment drawer provides separate
dispensers for prewash and main wash detergent,
and liquid fabric softener.

The inverter direct drive motor, which is directly

CHOOSE THE PROPER LOCATION
CLEARANCES
Allow at least 19.8 in. (50.3 cm) in front of the
washer to open the door.
To ensure sufficient clearance for water lines and
airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least
1 in. (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4 in. (10 cm)
behind the unit. Be sure to allow for wall, door,
or floor moldings that may increase the required
clearances.
• Do not remove the ground prong. Do not use
an adapter or extension cord. Plug into a
grounded 3-prong outlet. Failure to follow this
warning can cause serious injury, fi re, electrical
shock, or death.
Power Outlet
• The power outlet must be within 60 in. (1.5 m) of
either side of the washer.
• The appliance and outlet must be positioned so

FLOORING
• To minimize noise and vibration, the washer
MUST be installed on a solidly constructed fl oor.
See the NOTE below.
• Allowable slope under the entire washer is
1° maximum.
• Carpeting and soft tile surfaces are not
recommended.
• Never install the washer on a platform or weakly
supported structure. Use only an approved
accessory pedestal.
NOTE: If a drip pan must be used, take extra
care to follow the instructions provided with the
drip pan and make sure the leveling feet are
adjusted for firm and even contact with the pan.
Use of drip pans and failure to properly level the
machine may result in increased vibration and
noise during operation.

When removing the washer from the carton base,
be sure to remove the foam drum support in the
middle of the carton base. If you must lay the
washer down to remove the base packaging
materials, always lay it carefully on its side. Do
NOT lay the washer on its front
or back.
IMPORTANT: To prevent internal damage
during transport, the washer is equipped with
4 shipping bolts and plastic retainers. These
bolts and retainers MUST be removed before
operating the washer.
• Failure to remove shipping bolts and retainers
may cause severe vibration and noise, which can
lead to permanent damage to the washer. The
cord is secured to the back of the washer with
a shipping bolt to help prevent operation with
shipping bolts in place.
Remove the retainers by turning them slightly
while pulling. Rotate and press the hole caps
into the shipping bolt holes.
Starting with the bottom 2 shipping bolts,
use the included wrench to remove the
4 shipping bolts by turning them
counterclockwise.

future use. To prevent damage to internal
components, the shipping bolts and
retainers must be installed when
transporting the washer.

Attach the hot water line to the hot water
faucet. Attach the cold water line to the cold
water faucet.
Tighten the fi ttings securely. Open the water
faucets fully to check for leaks.

NOTE:
• For your safety, and for extended product
life, we recommend using high-quality LG
components. LG is not responsible for product
malfunction or damage caused by the use of
separately purchased non-LG parts.
• Use new hoses when installing the washing
machine. Do not reuse old hoses.
• Contact LG Customer Service for assistance in
buying hoses: 1-800-243-0000.
• Periodically check the hoses for cracks,
leaks and wear, and replace the hoses every
fi ve years. Do not stretch the water hoses
intentionally, and make sure that they are not
crushed by other objects.
• Water supply pressure must be between 20
psi and 120 psi (138 – 827 kPA). If the water
supply pressure is more than 120 psi, a pressure
reducing valve must be installed.
• To provide optimum washing performance the
hot water temperature should be set at 120 –
135°F (48-57°C) and the cold at 60°F (15°C).

inlet on the back of the washer. Attach the

LEVELING THE WASHER
Position the washer in the final location, taking
special care to not pinch, strain, or crush the
water and drain lines. Place a level across the
top of the washer.

The drum of your new washer spins at very high
speeds, up to 1,400 RPM. To minimize vibration,
noise, and unwanted movement, the floor must be
a perfectly level, solid surface.
NOTE: Adjust the leveling feet only as far as
necessary to level the washer. Extending the
leveling feet more than necessary can cause
the washer to vibrate.
Loosen the locknuts on all 4 leveling feet
until you can turn the feet with the included
wrench. Turn clockwise to raise the washer
or counterclockwise to lower it.

fl oor. Rock the washer gently from corner to
corner to make sure that the washer does
not rock.

Once the washer is level from side to side and
front to back, tighten all locknuts securely.
Make sure that all 4 leveling feet are in firm
contact with the floor.
NOTE: To make sure that the washer is
properly level, run the washer with a test load:
place approximately 6 pounds of laundry
in the machine. Then, press POWER, press
RINSE+SPIN, and then press the START/
PAUSE button. (See the following sections for
additional information on cycle selection and
operation.)
Verify that the washer does not rock or vibrate
excessively during the spin cycle.
If the washer vibrates or shakes, adjust
the leveling feet until the washer is stable and
retest.

INSTALLATION OF NON-SKID PADS (OPTIONAL)
Some floor surfaces are too slippery to prevent
the washer from moving on the floor during
heavily unbalanced loads. While it is normal for
an occasional load to be out of balance, excess
noise and vibration can result from the washer
moving out of position. If these conditions are
encountered, follow the instructions below for
installation of the non-skid pads. These pads
will help prevent the washer from moving during
heavy out of balance conditions thereby reducing
noise and vibration.

Loading the Washer
• Check all pockets to make sure that they
are empty. Items such as clips, matches,
pens, coins, and keys can damage both your
washer and your clothes.
• Close zippers, hooks, and drawstrings to
prevent these items from snagging or tangling
on other clothes.
• Pretreat heavily stained areas for best results.
• Combine large and small items in a load. Load
large items fi rst.
• Large items should not be more than half of the
total washload.
• The washer can be fully loaded, but the drum
should not be tightly packed with items. The
door of the washer should close easily.
• To prevent an out-of-balance load, do not wash
single items. Add one or two similar items to
the load. Large, bulky items, such as a blanket,
comforter, or bedspread should be washed
individually.
• Do not wash or spin waterproof clothes.
• When unloading the washer, check under the
door seal for small items.
NOTE: The front loading washer rotates the
wet laundry to wash it with less water. If you
do not see the water during washing, it is not
a problem because the laundry is suffi ciently
wet.
REMINDER: The load must have room to
tumble to wash effectively. Just because an
item can be forced into the drum does not
mean it should be washed in the machine. It
must be able to tumble.

SELECTING DETERGENT
ABOUT THE DISPENSER
The automatic dispenser consists of three
compartments which hold:
• Liquid fabric softener.
• Liquid or powdered detergent for prewash.
• Liquid or powdered detergent and color-safe
bleach for main wash.
All laundry products can be added at once in
their respective dispenser compartments.
They will be dispensed at the appropriate time
for the most effective cleaning.
After adding the laundry products to the
dispenser, close the dispenser drawer.
To add detergent and fabric softener to the
automatic dispenser:
Open the dispenser drawer.
Load the laundry products into the
appropriate compartments.
Slowly close the dispenser drawer to
avoid early dispensing of the laundry
products.
NOTE: It is normal for a small amount of water to
remain in the dispenser compartments at the end
of the cycle.

LOADING THE DISPENSER
Prewash Detergent Compartment
Add liquid or powdered detergent to this
compartment when using the Prewash option.
Always use HE (High-Efficiency) detergent with
your washing machine.
• The amount of detergent added for the Prewash
option is 1/2 the amount recommended for the
main wash cycle. For example, if the main wash
cycle requires TWO tablespoons (1 oz. or 30
ml) of detergent, add ONE tablespoon for the
Prewash option.
NOTE: If you are using the Prewash option,
powdered detergent must be used in the main
wash compartment. Liquid detergent will drain
into the washer drum as it is added.
Main Wash Detergent Compartment
This compartment holds laundry detergent
for the main wash cycle, which is added to
the load at the beginning of the cycle. Always
use HE (High-Efficiency) detergent with your
washing machine.
Never exceed the manufacturer’s
recommendations when adding detergent.
Using too much detergent can result in
detergent buildup in clothing and the washer.
Either powdered or liquid detergent may be used.
NOTE: Liquid detergent will drain into the washer
drum as it is added.
NOTE: Liquid or powdered color-safe bleach
may be added to the main wash compartment
with detergent of the same type.
Fabric Softener Compartment
This compartment holds liquid fabric softener,
which will be automatically dispensed during the
final rinse cycle.
• Always follow the manufacturer’s
recommendations when adding fabric softener.
Do not exceed the maximum fi ll line. Using
too much fabric softener may result in stained
clothes.
• Dilute concentrated fabric softeners with warm
water. Do not exceed the maximum fi ll line.
• Never pour fabric softener directly onto the load
or into the drum.

Press to turn the washer ON.
Press again to turn the washer OFF.
NOTE: Pressing the ON/OFF button during a
cycle will cancel that cycle and any load settings
will be lost.
CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB
Turn this knob to select the desired cycle. Once
the desired cycle has been selected, the standard
presets will be shown in the display. These
settings can be adjusted using the cycle modifier
buttons anytime before starting the cycle.
START/PAUSE BUTTON
Press this button to START the selected cycle.
If the washer is running, use this button to PAUSE
the cycle without losing the current settings.
NOTE: If you do not press the START/PAUSE
button within 4 minutes of selecting a cycle, the
washer automatically turns off.

Use these buttons to select the desired cycle
options for the selected cycle. Press the button

THE LED DISPLAY
CYCLE COMPLETION INDICATOR
This portion of the display shows which stage of
the wash cycle is currently underway
(Wash, Rinse, Spin or Dry).
ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING
When the START/PAUSE button is pressed, the
washer automatically detects the wash load
(weight) and optimizes the washing time, based
on the selected cycle and options. The display
will then indicate the estimated time remaining
for the selected wash cycle.
NOTE: The cycle time displayed may appear
much longer than that of a top-loading washer.
The displayed time is for the complete cycle,
rather than just the agitation portion of the cycle,
as is typically shown on a top-loading washer.

DOOR LOCK INDICATOR
Indicates that the door is locked. The washer
door will lock while the washer is operating. The
door can be unlocked by pressing the START/
PAUSE button to stop the washer.
NOTE: If the temperature in the washer is too
high, the door cannot be unlocked until the
washer has cooled. If the water level is too
high, select the Drain & Spin cycle to drain
excess water. Do not try to force open the door.
CHILD LOCK INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for Child Lock. Select this function to
lock the buttons on the control panel and to
prevent tampering.

If you would like to change the settings for

Once you have loaded the washer and added
laundry products (detergent, bleach, and/or
fabric softener):
Press the START/PAUSE button
to begin the cycle. The door will
latch, the display will change,
and the washer will calculate the
estimated time remaining. Once the washer
has calculated the estimated total cycle time,
the washer will start. To pause the cycle at
any time, press PAUSE.
NOTE: The cycle time displayed may
appear much longer than that of a top-
loading washer. The displayed time is for the
complete cycle, rather than just the agitation
portion of the cycle, as is typically shown on
a top-loading washer.
NOTE: If the temperature in the washer is
too high, the door cannot be unlocked until

Washing time can be reduced significantly

the Speed Wash cycle.
When the load is finished, the beeper (if set)

Spin Speed
The washer drum spins at up to 1,400
RPM. This reduces drying time and
saves energy. Press the Spin Speed
button until the indicator light for the
desired setting is lit. Some fabrics,
such as delicates, require a slower spin speed.

CYCLE MODIFIER BUTTONS
Each cycle has preset settings that are selected
automatically. You may also customize the
settings using the cycle modifier buttons.
Press the button for that setting until the indicator
light for the desired value is lit.
The washer automatically adjusts the water level
for the type and size of wash load for best results
and maximum efficiency. It may seem there is no
water inside the drum in some cycles, but this is
normal.
NOTE: To protect your garments, not every wash
temperature, spin speed, or option is available
with every cycle. See the Cycle Guide for details.
Wash Temp.
Selects the wash temperature
combination for the selected cycle.
Press the Wash Temp. button until the
indicator light for the desired setting
is lit.
• Your washer features a heating element to
boost the hot water temperature for Extra Hot,
Hot, and Warm settings. This provides
improved wash performance at normal water
heater settings.
• Select the water temperature suitable for the
type of load you are washing. Follow the fabric
care label for best results.
• Warm washes leave the loads drier than cold
washes. Warm rinses can increase wrinkling.
• In cold climates, a warm wash makes the load
more comfortable to handle.
• Cold washes use less energy.

NOTES:
• The capacity of the machine for washing
clothes is twice as much as when drying
clothes. If the machine is to be used to dry a
load, then the wash load must be reduced by
half for effective drying performance. If a full
load is washed, remove half the clothes prior
to starting the dry cycle.
• The Wrinkle Care feature is set automatically
when the drying cycle is complete and cannot
be disabled.
• This feature will help prevent wrinkling of the
clothes if they are not removed promptly when
the dry cycle ends.
When the drying cycle is completed,
[COOL DOWN] is displayed on the Multi display.
The COOL DOWN is set automatically when a
drying cycle is complete.
When you are not able to remove a load of
clothes from the dryer as soon as it stops,
wrinkles can form.
The COOL DOWN function periodically tumbles,
rearranges and fluffs the load to avoid wrinkles
without heat for up to 4 hours.
The message will continue to display until
the clothes are removed or the Start/Pause
button is pressed.
Drying Guide–Timed Dry
• Press the Dry dial repeatedly to select the drying
time in 30 minute increments: 30–60–120 minutes.
• Timed dry can last up to 120 min. When selecting
Dry only, drying will start after the final Spin cycle.
• Drying times can vary greatly depending on
dampness, room temperature, and type of fabric.
You may need to add additional time. Your own
experience will be your best guide.
Drying Guide–Automatic Dry
Electronic sensors measure the temperature of
the exhaust to increase or decrease the drying
temperature for faster reaction time and tighter
temperature control.
Recommended Dry settings by fabric type:
a) Perm Press – Low Temp.
b) If clothes are to be ironed – Damp
c) Cotton/Towels – Normal
d) Diapers – More
NOTE: On Automatic Dry settings, the estimated
drying time may vary from the actual drying time.
The type of fabric, size of the load, and the selected
dryness level affect drying time.
Dry
Drying options are easily
selected with the DRY dial.
For most even drying, make
sure all articles in the clothes
load are similar in material and
thickness. Do not overload
the washer by placing too
many articles into the drum. Items must be able
to tumble freely. If you open the door and remove

Do not tumble dry woolen articles. Pull them to their
original shape and dry them flat.
Woven and Loopknit Materials
• Some woven and loopknit materials may shrink
when dried.
• Always stretch them out immediately after drying.

• Do not overload your dryer.
• Take out permanent press articles as soon as the
dryer stops to reduce wrinkles.

Do not dry any items made from or containing
rubber or plastics, such as:

Do not dry fiberglass articles in your dryer. Glass
particles left in the washer could be picked up by
your clothes the next time you use the washer and
irritate your skin.
NOTICE:
The Dry option is not a main function of this
combo model. If you desire the Dry option as a
main function, it is more efficient to use a single-

Your washing machine features several additional
cycle options to customize cycles to meet your
individual needs. Certain option buttons also
feature a special function (see the following page
for details) that can be activated by pressing and
holding that option button for 3 seconds.
To Add Cycle Options to a Cycle:
Turn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select the desired cycle.
Use the cycle modifier buttons to adjust the
settings for that cycle.
Press the cycle option button(s) for the
option you would like to add. The cycle

Adjust the Wash Temperature and Spin Speed
to the desired settings.
Set any other desired options.
Press and hold the Custom PGM button for 3
seconds (2 beeps sound).
The Custom PGM program is now stored for
future use.
To reuse the program, select Custom PGM and
press Start/Pause.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
The option buttons also activate special
functions, including Child Lock and Tub Clean.
Press and hold the option button marked with the
special function for 3 seconds to activate.
Tub Clean
A buildup of detergent residue
can occur in the wash tub over
time and can lead to a mildewy
or musty smell.
The Tub Clean cycle is specially
designed to remove this buildup. Add anti-
limescale agent (Calgon) to the main wash
compartment.
Press and hold the Water Plus button for 3
seconds to activate this cycle.
After the cycle has ended, open the door and
allow the drum interior to dry completely.
Refer to Care and Cleaning of the Interior for
further information.
NOTE: Do NOT use this cycle with clothes,
and do NOT add detergent or fabric softener.
NOTE: If you use the Tub Clean cycle on a
monthly basis, the wash drum will be kept clean.

Hand Wash/Wool
• Only woolen items that are designated as
Machine-Washable should be washed in this
washing machine
• Wash only small loads for optimum fabric care
(less than 8 lbs.)
• Only neutral (wool safe) detergents should
be used (Only a small quantity of detergent
is needed due to the small load size and low
volume of water in the cycle.)
• The Hand Wash/Wool cycle uses a gentle
tumble action and low speed spin for ultimate
fabric care
Child Lock
Use this option to prevent
unwanted use of the washer or
to keep cycle settings from being
changed while the washer is
operating. Press and hold the Beeper On/Off button
for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate Child Lock.
The lock icon will be shown in the display, and all
controls are disabled. The washer can be locked
during a cycle. Once Child Lock is selected, the
display will alternate between CL and the remaining
time.
Tub Clean Alarm
Counts once after a Full Cycle is complete (Wash,
rinse, and spin cycles)
Check the cumulative count when powered on,
and if over 30, display " " on the 7-segment
display for 5 seconds.
Start flashing " " after 5 seconds (0.5 sec
On, 0.5 sec Off), and display "---" or "time"
depending on the water detection setting of the
selected course.
(※ Continuously display "Proceed with Tub Clean"
on LCD models)
TCL does not count during Life or LQC modes.
Clear " ": Select button or rotate the dial to
select general administration.
Cumulative Count Reset
• Cumulative count resets to zero when the Tub
Clean course is complete.

• Never use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents to clean the washer.
They will damage the finish.
REGULAR CLEANING
Cleaning the Exterior
Proper care of your washer can extend its life.
The outside of the machine can be cleaned with
warm water and a mild, nonabrasive household
detergent.
Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp
cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not use methylated spirits,
solvents, or similar products.
Never use steel wool or abrasive cleansers; they
can damage the surface.
Care and Cleaning of the Interior
Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe around the
washer door opening, door seal, and door glass.
These areas should be kept clean to ensure a
watertight seal. Be sure to wipe under the inside
rubber seal to remove any moisture or soil.
Always remove items from the washer as soon
as the cycle is completed. Leaving damp items
in the washer can cause wrinkling, color transfer,
and odor.
This washer has a special cycle, Tub Clean, to
remove inside buildup of detergent residue which
can occur in the wash tub or drum and lead to
mildew or musty smell.
Run the Tub Clean cycle regularly to remove
detergent buildup and other residue.
Read these instructions carefully before
beginning the Tub Clean cycle.
Open the door and remove any clothing in
the wash drum.
Open the dispenser drawer.
Add liquid chlorine bleach or tub cleaner to
the detergent compartment.
Some powder or tablet tub cleaners which
are manufactured for this purpose can be
used.
(NOTE : Do not add any laundry detergent
or fabric softener to the drawer when using
Tub Clean.)
- If using powder cleaner
Add powder cleaner to the main wash
compartment of the drawer.
- If using tablet cleaner
Add tablet cleaner to the wash drum
directly.
(NOTE : Do not add tablet cleaner to the
drawer.)
Close the drawer and washer door.
Select Tub Clean and press START.
NOTE : It is recommended that Tub Clean should
be repeated monthly.
If mildew or musty smell already exists, run Tub
Clean for 3 consecutive weeks.
After Tub Clean is complete or when the washer
is not used, leave the washer door open for better
ventilation and drying inside of the washer.

Removing Lime Buildup
If you live in an area with hard water, lime scale
can form on internal components of the washer.
Use of a water softener is recommended in areas
with hard water. If a descaler is used, make sure
that it is suitable for use in a washer, and run the
TUB CLEAN cycle before washing clothing.
Lime scale and other spots may be removed
from the stainless steel drum using a stainless
steel cleaner. Do NOT use steel wool or abrasive
cleansers; they can damage the surface.
Storing the Washer
If the washer will not be used for an extended
period of time and is in an area that could be
exposed to freezing temperatures:
Turn off water supply faucet.
Disconnect hoses from water supply and
drain water from hoses.
Plug the power cord into a properly grounded
electrical outlet.
Add 1 gallon of nontoxic recreational vehicle
(RV) antifreeze to the empty wash drum.
Close door.

for 1 minute to drain out all the water.
NOTE: Not all of the RV antifreeze will be

CLEANING THE WASHER
Cleaning the Dispenser
The dispenser should be cleaned periodically
to remove buildup from detergent and other
laundry products.
Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops.
Press the button in the center of the drawer
and pull to remove the drawer.

Remove the inserts from the drawer, and
clean them with warm water and a soft cloth
or brush to remove any residue or buildup.
Wipe out the inside of the drawer opening
with a damp cloth. Reassemble the drawer
and reinstall in the drawer opening.
NOTE: Do not use anything other than water
to clean the drawer, inserts, and drawer
opening. If any sort of household cleaner
drains into the interior of the washer,
run a RINSE

Cleaning the Water Inlet Filters
If the washer detects that water is not entering
the dispenser, an error message will show on the
display. If you live in an area with hard water, this
may be caused by clogged inlet filters.
Turn off both water faucets completely.
Unscrew the hot and cold water lines from
the back of the washer.
NOTE: The inlet filters protect the solenoids
from grit and debris. If the filters are not in
place, the valves will be damaged.

Carefully remove the filters from the water
inlets, and soak them in white vinegar
or a lime scale remover, following the
manufacturer’s instructions. Rinse thoroughly
before reinstalling.
Press the filters back into place and reattach
the water lines. Do NOT operate the washer
without the inlet filters.

and cleaning the filters. If the filters cannot be
cleaned or are damaged, do NOT operate the
washer without the inlet filters. Contact LG

Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter
Lint and other objects may accumulate and clog
the drain pump filter. If the washer fails to drain
properly, unplug the washer and allow the water
to cool, if necessary, before proceeding.
Open the drain pump filter access panel.

Unclip the drain hose and pull it out. Place
the end of the drain hose in a pan, bucket, or
floor drain to catch the water.

Remove the plug from the drain hose, and
allow the water to drain completely.
Twist the pump filter counterclockwise to
remove. Remove any lint and foreign objects
from the pump filter.
Reverse the above steps to reinstall the drain
pump filter and drain hose. Be sure to close
the cover panel when finished.

BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Your washing machine is equipped with an automatic error-monitoring system to detect and diagnose
problems at an early stage. If your washer does not function properly or at all, check the following before
you call for service.
Vibrating noise
Excessive sudsing
• Too much detergent or

• Reduce detergent amount or use low-sudsing
detergent.
Only use detergent with the HE
(High-Effi ciency) logo.

fuse capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload, have it
corrected by a qualifi ed electrician.
• Make sure that the door is closed properly and press
the START/PAUSE button. After starting a cycle, it may
take a few moments before the drum begins to turn or
spin. The washer will not spin unless the door is locked
(DOOR LOCK will appear in the display).
• If the door is closed and locked and the open door error
message is displayed, call for service.
• Use only HE (High-Effi ciency) detergent in accordance with
the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Never use more than TWO tablespoons (1 oz. or 30 ml) of
detergent or more than TWO teaspoons (½ oz. or 15 ml) of
softener or bleach.
• Run the TUB CLEAN cycle regularly. Be sure to wipe around
and under the door seal frequently.

Press and hold the “Wash Temp.” button for three seconds, while holding the phone mouthpiece to the
icon or Power button.
Keep the phone in place until the tone transmission has finished.
This takes about 6 seconds, and the display will count down the time.
• For best results, do not move the phone while the tones are being transmitted.
• If the call center agent is not able to get an accurate recording of the data, you may be asked to try
again.
Once the countdown is over and the tones have stopped, resume your conversation with the call
center agent, who will then be able to assist you using the information transmitted for analysis at the
call center.
• Smart Diagnosis is a troubleshooting feature designed to assist, not replace, the traditional method of
troubleshooting through service calls. The effectiveness of this feature depends upon various factors,
including, but not limited to, the reception of the cellular phone being used for transmission, any external
noise that may be present during the transmission, and the acoustics of the room where the machine is
located.
Accordingly, LG does not guarantee that Smart Diagnosis would accurately troubleshoot any given issue.

GAVETA DISPENSADORA DE DETERGENTE
Esta gaveta de tres compartimentos proporciona
dispensadores separados para pre-lavado, detergente
para lavado principal, y suavizante líquido.

La puerta extra grande se traba mientras la

CÓMO ELEGIR LA UBICACIÓN MÁS ADECUADA
DISTANCIAS DE SEPARACIÓN
No olvide tener en cuenta las molduras de pare-
des, puertas o piso, que podrían aumentar la
distancia de separación necesaria.
Deje al menos 50,3 cm (19,8") en la parte frontal
de la lavadora para abrir la puerta.
Para asegurar que se haya otorgado el espacio
suficiente para las tuberías de agua y flujo de
aire, deje una distancia de separación mínima de
por lo menos 2,5 cm (1") a los lados, y de 10 cm
(4") detrás de la unidad.
• No elimine la clavija de conexión a tierra. No
use un adaptador o alargue. Enchufe en una
toma de corriente con conexión a tierra de 3
clavijas. Si no se cumple con esta advertencia,

Toma de corriente
• La toma de corriente debe estar dentro de un
área mínima de 1,5 mt. (60") a ambos lados de
la lavadora.
• El electrodoméstico y la toma de corriente
deben estar colocados de forma tal que se
pueda acceder al enchufe fácilmente.
• No sobrecargue la toma de corriente con más

TIPO DE PISO
• Para minimizar el ruido y la vibración,
la lavadora DEBE instalarse en un piso
sólidamente construido. Vea la NOTA más
abajo.
• La cuesta permisible debajo de toda la lavadora
es de 2,5 cm. (1") como máximo.
• No se recomiendan las superfi cies alfombradas
o de baldosas blandas.
• Nunca instale la lavadora en una plataforma
o estructura de poca solidez. Use solamente
pedestales accesorios aprobados.
NOTA: Si debe usar una bandeja de goteo, tenga
sumo cuidado de seguir las instrucciones que
vienen con la bandeja y asegúrese de que las
patas de nivelación estén bien ajustadas para
que queden firmes y equitativamente apoyadas
sobre la bandeja. El uso de bandejas de goteo y
la nivelación inadecuada de la máquina pueden
resultar en una mayor vibración y ruido durante el

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA INSTALACIÓN
Al quitar la lavadora de la base de cartón,
asegúrese de quitar el soporte de espuma del
tambor que hay en el medio de la base de cartón.
Si debe recostar la lavadora para quitar los
materiales de embalaje de la base, recuéstela
siempre con cuidado sobre uno de sus lados.
NUNCA recueste la lavadora sobre su parte
frontal o trasera.
IMPORTANTE: Para evitar el daño interno de
la lavadora durante su transporte, ésta viene
equipada con 4 pernos de transporte y retenes
plásticos. Estos pernos y retenes DEBEN quitarse
antes de poner la lavadora en funcionamiento.

• Para lograr un rendimiento óptimo de lavado, la
temperatura del agua caliente debe ajustarse a 48-
57°C (120-135°F) y el agua fría a 15°C (60°F).

El tambor de su nueva lavadora gira a velocidades
muy elevadas, de hasta 1.400 RPM. Para
minimizar la vibración, los ruidos y los movimientos
no deseados, el piso debe ser una superficie
perfectamente nivelada y sólida.
NOTA: Ajuste las patas de nivelación sólo en la
medida necesaria para nivelar la lavadora. La
extensión de las patas de nivelación más de lo
necesario puede causar vibración en la lavadora.
Afloje las contratuercas de las 4 patas de
nivelación hasta que pueda girar la pata con
la llave incluida. Gírelas en sentido horario
para levantar la lavadora y en el sentido
antihorario para bajarla.

Una vez que nivela la lavadora de lado a lado y de
la parte frontal a la trasera, ajuste firmemente todas
las contratuercas.
Asegúrese de que las cuatro patas de nivelación
estén en contacto directo con el piso.
NOTA: Para asegurarse de que la lavadora
está correctamente nivelada, póngala en
funcionamiento con una carga de prueba:
coloque aproximadamente 3 kgs. (6 libras) de
ropa a lavar en la lavadora. Luego, presione

Algunas superficies de pisos son demasiado
resbaladizas para evitar que la lavadora se mueva en el

Si bien es normal que una carga ocasionalmente esté
desbalanceada, el ruido y vibración excesivos pueden
hacer que la lavadora se salga de su posición.
Si se dan estas condiciones, siga las instrucciones

antideslizantes. Estas almohadillas ayudarán a prevenir

instrucciones sobre sus cuidados específicos.
Agrupación de prendas similares
Para obtener resultados óptimos, clasifique las
prendas en cargas que puedan lavarse con el
mismo ciclo de lavado.
Los distintos tejidos precisan cuidados diferentes.
Siempre lave los colores oscuros separados de
los colores claros y los blancos para evitar la
decoloración. De ser posible, no lave prendas
muy sucias con prendas poco sucias. El cuadro a
continuación muestra los grupos recomendados.

Carga de la lavadora
• Compruebe que todos los bolsillos de las
prendas están vacíos. Objetos como clips,
cerillas, bolígrafos, monedas y llaves pueden
dañar tanto la lavadora como las prendas.
• Cierre cremalleras, broches y cordones para
evitar enganches o enredos en otras prendas.
• Aplique un tratamiento previo a las áreas muy
sucias para mejorar el resultado.
• Mezcle prendas grandes y pequeñas en la
misma carga. Cargue primero las prendas
grandes.
• Las prendas grandes no deben ocupar más de
la mitad de la carga total de la colada.
• La lavadora se puede cargar completamente,
pero el tambor no debe estar abarrotado con
prendas. La puerta de la lavadora se debe cerrar
con facilidad.
• Para evitar una colada desbalanceada, no lave
prendas únicas. Agregue una o dos prendas
similares a la carga. Las prendas grandes y
voluminosas, como los cobertores, edredones o
colchas, deben lavarse individualmente.
• No lave ni centrifugue prendas a prueba de
agua.
• Cuando descargue la lavadora, verifi que que no
queden prendas pequeñas debajo de la junta de
la puerta.

SELECCIÓN DEL DETERGENTE
ACERCA DEL DISPENSADOR
El dispensador automático está compuesto de
tres compartimientos para:
• Suavizante líquido.
• Detergente en polvo o líquido para el pre-
lavado.
• Detergente en polvo o líquido para el lavado
principal.
Todos los productos de lavado pueden agregarse
de una vez en su respectivo compartimiento del
dispensador.
Éstos serán dispensado en el momento
apropiado para lograr la limpieza más efectiva.
Luego de agregar los productos de lavado al
dispensador, cierre la gaveta del dispensador.
Para agregar detergente y suavizante al
dispensador automático:
Abra la gaveta del dispensador.
Cargue los productos de lavado en los
compartimiento adecuados.
Cierre lentamente la gaveta del dispensador
para evitar que los productos de lavado se
dispensen antes de tiempo.
NOTA: Es normal que quede una pequeña
cantidad de agua en los compartimientos del
dispensador al final del ciclo.

IMPORTANTE: No coloque ni almacene
productos de lavado, como detergente,
blanqueador o suavizante líquido, encima de
la lavadora o secadora. Seque los derrames
inmediatamente. Estos productos pueden dañar
el acabado y los controles.

siempre el símbolo HE, de alta eficiencia.
Los detergentes de alta eficiencia (HE) generan
menos espuma y se disuelven más eficazmente
para mejorar el rendimiento del lavado y del
enjuague; además, ayudan a mantener limpio el
interior de la lavadora.
Usar detergentes regulares puede provocar
un exceso de espuma y un rendimiento poco
satisfactorio.

Compartimiento para detergente del
pre-lavado
Agregue detergente líquido o en polvo a este
compartimiento cuando utilice la opción de
pre-lavado. Siempre utilice un detergente de alta
eficiencia (HE) en su lavadora.
• La cantidad de detergente a agregar para la
opción de pre-lavado es 1/2 de la cantidad
recomendada para el ciclo de lavado principal.
Por ejemplo, si el ciclo de lavado principal
requiere DOS cucharadas (30 ml. o 1 oz.) de
detergente, agregue UNA cucharada para la
opción de pre-lavado.
NOTA: Si selecciona la opción de pre-lavado,
debe usar detergente en polvo en el
compartimiento de lavado principal. El detergente
líquido drenará al tambor de la lavadora al ser
dispensado.
Compartimiento para detergente del
lavado principal
Este compartimiento contiene el detergente de
lavado para el ciclo de lavado principal, que se
agrega a la carga al principio del ciclo. Siempre
utilice detergente de alta eficiencia (HE) en su
lavadora.
Al agregar el detergente, nunca exceda las
recomendaciones del fabricante. Si usa
demasiado detergente, puede suceder que en
lugar de diluirse se acumule en la ropa y en la
lavadora. Se puede usar tanto detergente líquido
como en polvo.
NOTA: El detergente líquido drenará al tambor de
la lavadora al ser dispensado.
NOTA: Se puede agregar blanqueador líquido o
en polvo con protector de color al compartimiento
de lavado principal con un detergente del mismo
tipo.
Compartimiento para suavizante
Este compartimiento contiene el suavizante
líquido, que se dispensará de forma automática
durante el ciclo de enjuague final.
• Al agregar el suavizante, respete siempre las
recomendaciones del fabricante.
No exceda la línea de llenado máximo. El uso
de suavizante en exceso puede manchar las
prendas.
• Diluya el suavizante concentrado con agua tibia.
No exceda la línea de llenado máximo.
• Nunca vierta el suavizante directamente sobre la
carga o dentro del tambor.

INDICADOR DE ESTADO DEL CICLO
Esta sección de la pantalla muestra la fase
del ciclo en curso (lavando, enjuagando,
centrifugando o secando).
TIEMPO ESTIMADO RESTANTE
Cuando se presiona el botón START/PAUSE
(INICIO/PAUSA), la lavadora detecta
automáticamente la carga a lavar (su peso) y
optimiza el tiempo de lavado en base al ciclo y
opciones seleccionados. Entonces la pantalla
indicará el tiempo estimado restante para el ciclo
de lavado seleccionado.
NOTA: El tiempo del ciclo indicado podrá parecer
mucho más largo que el de una lavadora de carga
superior. Esto es porque el tiempo que se indica
es para el ciclo completo, no solo la fase de
agitación del ciclo que se muestra típicamente en
una lavadora de carga superior.

INDICADOR DE BLOQUEO DE PUERTA
Indica que la puerta está trabada. La puerta
de la lavadora se trabará mientras la lavadora
está en funcionamiento. La puerta se puede
destrabar presionando el botón START/PAUSE
(INICIO/PAUSA) para detener la lavadora.
NOTA: Si la temperatura de la lavadora es
demasiado alta, la puerta no podrá destrabarse
hasta que la lavadora se haya enfriado. Si el

El tambor de la lavadora centrifuga a

Cada ciclo tiene ajustes predeterminados que se
seleccionan automáticamente. También puede
personalizar los ajustes utilizando los botones

Presione el botón para el ajuste deseado hasta

La lavadora ajustará de forma automática el nivel
de agua para el tipo y tamaño de la carga que
lavar para obtener los mejores resultados y la
máxima eficiencia. Es posible que parezca que
no hay agua dentro del tambor en algunos ciclos,
pero esto es normal.

Secado
Las opciones de secado pueden
seleccionarse fácilmente con el
dial DRY. Para lograr el secado
más parejo, asegúrese de que
las prendas de la carga sean
similares en su textura y grosor. No
sobrecargue la lavadora introduciendo demasiadas prendas
en el tambor. Las prendas deben poder girar libremente.
Si usted abre la puerta y extrae la carga antes de que la
lavadora haya terminado el ciclo DRY, recuerde presionar el
botón START/PAUSE(INICIO/PAUSA).
Al presionar el dial Dry, puede seleccionar:
Baja temp. - Para prendas delicadas
Húmedo - Para secado húmedo
Normal - Para secado general
Más - Para tejidos más pesados

NOTAS:
• La capacidad de la máquina para lavar las prendas es el
doble que la capacidad de secarlas. Si la lavadora va a
usarse para secar una carga, entonces la carga de lavado
debe reducirse a la mitad para su efectivo rendimiento de
secado. Si se lava una carga entera, extraiga la mitad de
las prendas antes de iniciar el ciclo de secado.
• La función Wrinkle Care (anti-arrugas) se fija
automáticamente al completarse el ciclo de secado y no
puede desactivarse.
• Esta función ayudará a prevenir las arrugas en las prendas
si no se extraen de inmediato cuando el ciclo de secado
finaliza.
Cuando el ciclo de secado finaliza, se muestra [COOL
DOWN] en pantalla. COOL DOWN se fija automáticamente
al completarse el ciclo de secado.
Cuando no extrae la carga de ropa de la secadora apenas
ésta termina de secar, se pueden formar arrugas.
La función COOL DOWN hace girar el tambor
periódicamente, reacomoda y repasa la carga sin calor por
hasta 4 horas para evitar que se formen arrugas.
El mensaje permanecerá en pantalla hasta que las
prendas sean extraídas o hasta que se presione el botón
START/PAUSE(INICIO/PAUSA).

Guía de secado - secado por tiempo
• Presione el dial Dry repetidamente para seleccionar
el tiempo de secado en incrementos de 30 minutos:
30–60–120 minutos.
• El tiempo de secado puede ser de hasta 1200 min.
Cuando sólo selecciona Dry, el secado se iniciará luego
del ciclo de centrifugado final.
• Los tiempos de secado pueden variar enormemente
dependiendo de la humedad de las prendas, temperatura
del ambiente y tipo de tejidos. Es posible que necesite
agregar tiempo adicional. Su propia experiencia será su
mejor guía.
Sugerencias para el secado
Prendas de lana
No seque las prendas de lana haciéndolas girar. Estírelas a
su forma original y séquelas extendidas.
Materiales tejidos y bordados
• Algunos materiales tejidos y bordados pueden encoger al
secarse.
• Extiéndalos de inmediato luego del secado.
Planchado permanente y sintéticos
• No sobrecargue su secadora.
• Saque las prendas de planchado permanente tan pronto
como la secadora termine de reducir las arrugas.
Materiales de fibra o cuero
Siga siempre las instrucciones del fabricante.
Ropa de bebé y batas de cama
Siga siempre las instrucciones del fabricante.
Goma y plásticos
No seque ninguna prenda que esté hecha o tenga cualquier
parte de goma o plástico, como por ejemplo:
a) Delantales, baberos, cobertores de sillas
b) Cortinas y manteles
c) Tapetes para baño
Fibra de vidrio
No seque prendas de fibra de vidrio en su secadora. Las
partículas de vidrio que queden en la lavadora pueden
meterse en las prendas que lave la próxima vez que use la
lavadora, irritando su piel.
Guía de secado - secado automático
Los sensores electrónicos miden la temperatura del
conducto de ventilación para subir o bajar la temperatura
de secado y así acelerar el tiempo de reacción y ajustar el
control de la temperatura.
Ajustes de secado recomendados por tipo de tejido:
a) Planchado perm. - Baja temp.
b) Si se va a planchar las prendas - Húmedo
c) Algodón/toallas - Normal
d) Pañales- Más
NOTA: En los ajustes de Secado Automático, el tiempo
de secado estimado puede variar del tiempo de secado
real. El tipo de tejido, tamaño de carga y el nivel de secado
seleccionado, afectan el tiempo de secado.
AVISO:
La opción Dry (Secado) no es una función principal de
este modelo de equipo. Si desea que esta opción sea
una función principal, es más eficiente usar un modelo de
secadora de función única.

FUNCIONES ESPECIALES

Tub Clean (limpieza de tina)
Una acumulación de residuos
de detergente puede producirse

El ciclo Tub Clean está especialmente diseñado
para remover esta acumulación. Agregue
agente anti-depósito de calcio (Calgon) al
compartimiento de lavado principal.
Mantenga presionado el botón Water Plus
durante 3 segundos para activar este ciclo.
Cuando finalice el ciclo, abra la puerta y deje que
el interior del tambor se seque completamente.

interior para más información.
NOTA: NO use este ciclo con ropa, y NO agregue
detergente ni suavizante.
NOTA: Si usa el ciclo Tub Clean una vez por mes,
el tambor de lavado se mantendrá limpio.

Child Lock (bloqueo infantil)
Seleccione esta opción para
evitar el uso indeseado de
la lavadora o para evitar que
los ajustes del ciclo sean
cambiados mientras la lavadora
se encuentra en funcionamiento. Mantenga
presionado el botón Beeper On/Off durante 3
segundos para activar o desactivar la función
Child Lock.
El ícono de bloqueo se mostrará en pantalla,
y todos los controles serán desactivados. La
lavadora se puede bloquear durante un ciclo. Una
vez que Child Lock es seleccionado, la pantalla
alternará entre Child Lock y el tiempo restante.
Hand Wash/Wool (lavado a mano/lana)
• Solo lave prendas de lana que digan en la
etiqueta “lavar a máquina” en esta lavadora.
• Lave sólo cargas pequeñas para el óptimo
cuidado de los tejidos (menos de 3,6 kg./8
libras).
• Use sólo detergentes neutrales (aptos para
lana). Sólo se necesita una pequeña cantidad
de detergente debido al pequeño tamaño de la
carga y al bajo volumen de agua en el ciclo.
• El ciclo Hand Wash/Wool usa una acción suave
de rotación y centrifugado de baja velocidad
para lograr el mejor cuidado de las prendas.
Alarma de Limpieza de Tambor
Se debe tener en cuenta después de un
ciclo completo de lavado (lavado, aclarado, y
centrifugado)
Comprobar el recuento acumulado cuando se
enciende, y si tiene más de 30, aparece " " en
7 segmentos mostrados durante 5 segundos.
Comenzará a parpadear " " después de
5 segundos (0,5 segundos Encendido - 0,5
segundos Apagado), y aparecerá "---" o
"tiempo", dependiendo de la configuración de
detección de agua del curso seleccionado.
(※ Continuamente se mostrará "Proceder con la
Limpieza del Tambor" en los modelos LCD)
TCL no cuenta durante la vida o la modalidad
LQC.
Para limpiar el " ": Seleccionar el botón o girar

• Se restablece el recuento acumulado a cero
cuando finaliza la operación de Limpieza del
Tambor.
• Se restablece el recuento acumulado a cero
después de mostrar " " una vez. (Reinicia
después de contar 31 TCL)
• Reinicia después de completar el ciclo en el
modo LQC.
El recuento acumulado se muestra en el LED
para el conteo TCL de acuerdo con la clave de
datos.

Limpieza del exterior
El cuidado adecuado de su lavadora prolongará
la vida útil de la misma. Puede limpiar el exterior
de la lavadora con agua tibia y un detergente
doméstico suave, no abrasivo.
Limpie inmediatamente cualquier derrame con un
paño suave y húmedo.
IMPORTANTE: No utilice alcohol metílico,
disolventes, ni productos similares.
Nunca utilice lanas de acero ni limpiadores
abrasivos; estos pueden dañar la superficie.
LIMPIEZA REGULAR
Cuidado y limpieza del interior
Use una toalla o trapo suave para limpiar
alrededor de la abertura, junta y vidrio de la
puerta. Estas áreas deben mantenerse limpias
para asegurar que la junta quede hermética.
Asegúrese de limpiar debajo de la junta de goma
para remover cualquier humedad o suciedad.
Siempre saque las prendas de la lavadora ni bien
finaliza el ciclo. Dejar las prendas mojadas en la
lavadora puede hacer que se arruguen, decoloren
o tomen olor.
Esta lavadora tiene un ciclo especial, Tub Clean,
para remover la acumulación de residuos de
detergente en su interior, lo que puede producirse
en la tina o tambor de lavado y traer olor a moho
o humedad.
Inicie el ciclo Tub Clean regularmente para
remover la acumulación de detergente y otros
residuos.
Lea atentamente estas instrucciones antes de
iniciar el ciclo Tub Clean.
Abra la puerta y extraiga todas las prendas
del tambor de lavado.
Abra la gaveta del dispensador.
Agregue blanqueador con cloro líquido o
limpiador de tinas al compartimiento del
detergente.
Pueden usarse algunos limpiadores de tinas
en polvo o en pastilla fabricados para este
fin.
(NOTA: No agregue detergente ni suavizante
a la gaveta del dispensador cuando use la
opción Tub Clean).
- Si usa limpiador en polvo
Agregue el limpiador en polvo al
compartimiento de lavado principal de la
gaveta.
- Si usa limpiador en pastilla
Agregue el limpiador en pastilla al tambor
de lavado directamente.
(NOTA: No agregue el limpiador en pastilla
en la gaveta).
Cierre la gaveta y la puerta de la lavadora.
Seleccione Tub Clean y presione INICIO.
NOTA : Se recomienda repetir el ciclo Tub Clean
una vez por mes.
Si ya hay olor a moho o a humedad, ejecute el
ciclo Tub Clean por 3 semanas consecutivas.
Luego de completar el ciclo Tub Clean o cuando
no use la lavadora, deje la puerta de la lavadora
abierta para una mejor ventilación y secado en su
interior.

El dispensador debe limpiarse periódicamente
para remover la acumulación de detergente y
otros productos de lavado.
NOTA: Si limpia el dispensador de detergente
una vez por semana, siempre dispensará
correctamente.

Extraiga la gaveta del dispensador hasta
que pare. Presione el botón del centro de la
gaveta y tire para extraer la gaveta.

Extraiga los insertos de la gaveta, y luego
límpielos con agua tibia y un paño suave, o
cepíllelos para remover cualquier acumulación
de residuos. Limpie el interior de la abertura
de la gaveta con un trapo húmedo. Vuelva a
colocar la gaveta en su lugar.
NOTA: No utilice más que agua para limpiar
la gaveta, insertos y abertura de la gaveta.
Si cualquier limpiador doméstico drena al
interior de la lavadora, ejecute un ciclo
RINSE+SPIN antes de poner a lavar ropa.

Eliminación de la acumulación de sarro
Si vive en una zona donde el agua es dura, se pueden
formar depósitos de sarro en los componentes
internos de la lavadora. Se recomienda usar un
descalcificador en zonas con agua dura. Si se utiliza
un desincrustador, asegúrese de que sea apto para
ser usado en lavadoras, y ejecute el ciclo TUB CLEAN
antes de poner a lavar ropa.
Los depósitos de sarro y demás manchas se pueden
eliminar del tambor de acero inoxidable usando un
limpiador para acero inoxidable. NO utilice lanas de
acero ni limpiadores abrasivos; éstos pueden dañar la
superficie.
Para quitar el anticongelante restante de la lavadora
luego de su almacenamiento, ejecute un ciclo
completo en la lavadora con detergente. ¡No
agregue ropa a lavar!

Almacenamiento de la lavadora
Si no se va a usar la lavadora durante un período prolongado
y se encuentra en una zona de temperaturas muy frías:
Cierre el grifo de suministro de agua.
Desconecte las mangueras del suministro de
agua, y el agua de drenaje de las mangueras.
Enchufe el cable de alimentación a una toma de
corriente conectada a tierra adecuadamente.
Agregue 3,5 litros (1 galón) de anticongelante
no tóxico de tipo RV al tambor de lavado vacío.
Cierre la puerta.
Seleccione el ciclo de centrifugado y deje
centrifugar por 1 minuto para drenar toda el agua.
NOTA: No todo el anticongelante para RV se
expulsará.
Desenchufe el cable de alimentación, seque el
interior del tambor con un paño suave, y cierre la
puerta.
Retire los insertos del dispensador. Drene
cualquier resto de agua que haya quedado en los
compartimiento y seque los compartimientos.
Almacene la lavadora en posición vertical.

Limpieza de los filtros de entrada de
agua
Si la lavadora detecta que no ingresa agua al
dispensador, aparecerá un mensaje de error en
pantalla. Si vive en un área donde hay agua dura,
esto puede ocasionarse por filtros de entrada
obstruidos.
IMPORTANTE: Tenga extremo cuidado al extraer
y limpiar los filtros. Si los filtros no pueden
limpiarse o están dañados, NO ponga entrada.
Comuníquese con el Servicio al Cliente de LG o
con un servicio técnico cualificado de LG.
MANTENIMIENTO
IMPORTANTE: SÓLO use las mangueras de
entrada suministradas por LG con esta lavadora.
Las mangueras comerciales no tienen garantía de
que se ajusten o funcionen correctamente. Otras
mangueras pueden no ajustarse correctamente y
ocasionar fugas. Los daños subsiguientes a los
productos o a la propiedad no quedarán cubiertos
de acuerdo con los términos de la garantía del
producto.
Cierre las dos llaves de agua completamente.
Desatornille las tuberías de agua caliente y
fría desde la parte trasera de la lavadora.
NOTA: Los filtros de entrada protegen los
solenoides de arenillas y residuos. Si los
filtros no están en su lugar, las válvulas se
dañarán.

Extraiga cuidadosamente los filtros de las
entradas de agua, y embébalos en vinagre
blanco o removedor de sarro, siguiendo
las instrucciones del fabricante. Enjuague
abundantemente antes de volver a instalarlos.
Presione los filtros de vuelta en su lugar y
vuelva a instalar los conductos de agua. NO
utilice la lavadora sin los filtros de entrada.

Limpieza del filtro de la bomba de
desagüe
Pelusas y otros objetos pueden acumularse y
obstruir el filtro de la bomba de desagüe. Si la
lavadora no drena adecuadamente, desenchufe
la lavadora y deje que el agua se enfríe, de ser
necesario, antes de proceder.
Abra el panel de acceso del filtro de la
bomba de desagüe.

Quite la manguera de desagüe y tírela hacia
afuera. Coloque el extremo de la manguera
de desagüe en una bandeja, depósito, o
drenaje de suelo para atrapar el agua.

Quite el tapón de la manguera de desagüe, y
deje que el agua drene completamente.
Haga girar el filtro de la bomba en sentido
antihorario para extraerlo. Elimine cualquier
pelusa y objetos extraños del filtro de la
bomba.

reinstalar el filtro de la bomba y la manguera

• Detenga la lavadora, verifi que el tambor y el fi ltro de
drenaje en busca de objetos extraños. Si después de
reiniciar la lavadora el ruido continúa, llame al servicio.

que el indicador DOOR LOCK se apague en la pantalla.
• Permita que la lavadora complete el ciclo programado, o
ejecute el ciclo DRAIN & SPIN (desagüe y centrifugado)
para drenar el agua.
• Esto es normal. La lavadora ajusta el tiempo del ciclo de
forma automática para brindar óptimos resultados para el
ciclo seleccionado.
• Use sólo detergente de alta efi ciencia (HE) de acuerdo
con las instrucciones del fabricante.
• Nunca use más de DOS cucharadas (30 ml. o 1 oz.) de
detergente, o más de DOS cucharaditas (15 ml. o ½ oz.)
de suavizante o blanqueador.
• Ejecute el ciclo TUB CLEAN (limpieza de tina) con
regularidad. Asegúrese de limpiar alrededor y debajo de
la junta de la puerta con frecuencia.
• Limpia alrededor de la junta/vidrio de la puerta para evitar
el olor o moho.

mensaje de error de la puerta, llame al servicio técnico.

Hz y tres clavijas con toma de tierra.
• Reinicie el disyuntor o sustituya el fusible. No aumente la
capacidad del fusible. Si el problema es una sobrecarga del
circuito, haga que lo solucione un electricista cualifi cado.
Arrugas
• La lavadora no se ha descargado
inmediatamente.
• La lavadora está sobrecargada.
• Las mangueras de entrada de agua
fría y caliente están invertidas.
• Siempre saque las prendas de la lavadora ni bien fi naliza
el ciclo.
• La lavadora se puede cargar completamente, pero el
tambor no debe estar abarrotado con prendas. La puerta
de la lavadora se debe cerrar con facilidad.
• El enjuague con agua caliente puede hacer aparecer
arrugas en las prendas. Revise las conexiones de las
mangueras de entrada.

Mantenga apretado el botón Wash Temp durante tres segundos, mientras sostiene el micrófono del
teléfono cerca del ícono o botón Power.
Sostenga el teléfono en el lugar hasta que el tono de transmisión haya finalizado.
Esto tarda unos 6 segundos, y en la pantalla aparecerá el recuento de tiempo.
• Para obtener los mejores resultados, no mueva el teléfono mientras se transmiten los tonos.
• Si el representante del Centro de Atención al Cliente no puede grabar con precisión los datos, quizá
le pida que lo intente de nuevo.
Una vez que finalice la cuenta regresiva y se detengan los tonos, reanude su conversación con
el representante del Centro de Atención al Cliente quien podrá ayudarlo usando la información
transmitida para el análisis en el Centro de Atención al Cliente.
• Smart Diagnosis™ es una función para la resolución de problemas diseñada para asistir, no reemplazar,
el método tradicional de solución de problemas de llamada al servicio técnico. La efectividad de esta
función depende de varios factores, incluyendo sin limitación, la recepción del teléfono celular que se
utiliza para la transmisión, cualquier ruido externo que pueda presentarse durante la transmisión, y la

• Use esta función únicamente cuando el Centro de Atención al Cliente se lo solicite.
La transmisión suena parecido a una máquina de fax, y por lo tanto no tiene significado alguno excepto
para el Centro de Atención al Cliente.
• No se puede activar Smart Diagnosis™ si la lavadora no enciende.
Si esto sucede, entonces el problema debe solucionarse sin Smart Diagnosis™. Si experimenta
problemas con la lavadora, llame al Centro de Información al Cliente.
Si experimenta problemas con sus lavadora, llame al servicio técnico. Siga las instrucciones del servicio
técnico y siga los pasos que le vayan diciendo.
Presione el botón Power para encender la lavadora. No pulse
ningún otro botón ni gire la perilla de selección de ciclo.
Cuando el Centro de Atención al Cliente le pida que lo haga,
