Cuisinart CPM-100W Questions and Answers

#1 What is the inside of the base?

I did not take it apart, but I think a small motor that heats the air hot enough to make pop corn pop !

#2 Is the popping chamber metal?

Yes, the popping chamber is metal.

#3 What is the popping chamber made from? Is it stainless steel or is it coated with a Teflon-type, anti-stick coating?

The side has the appearance of stainless or aluminum and the bottom is a different color so that MAY have a coating. Air vent is a shiny metal.

#4 Does motor go in circular pattern or up and out?

Both. First circular to heat up the cornels and then up and out. Great machine and lasts forever.

#5 Is it allowed to pour oil in this machine if I do want to make the popcorn that way?

Not allowed to pour oil. Caution may cause Fire.

#6 Can you roast coffee or pumpkin seeds with this?

I would not use it to roast any other type of bean / seeds. I don't like this machine, by the way, as it kicks out way to many un-popped kernels. They need to design a metal screen over the opening which is kept there until the popped corn begins to fill the popping chamber.
