Clutch System
Refer to Safety Precautions on page 45.
Inspection
Check freeplay.
Freeplay: 3/8–13/16 in (10–20 mm)
If necessary, adjust to the specified range.
Improper freeplay adjustment can cause
premature clutch wear.
Minor Adjustment
Minor adjustments are generally made with the
minor clutch cable adjuster.
Minor clutch assembly adjuster:
1.Pull the rubber dust cover (2) back.
2.Loosen the minor lock nut (3).
3.Turn the minor clutch cable adjuster (4) to
obtain the specified freeplay.
