Function of Active Lane Change Assist

The following function is country-dependent
and only available in conjunction with the
Driving Assistance Package.
Active Lane Change Assist supports the driver
when changing lanes by applying steering torque
if the driver operates a turn signal.
Assistance when changing lanes is provided if all
the following conditions are met:

You are dr iving on a freeway or road with
multiple lanes in the direction of travel.
R
The neighboring lane is separated by a bro‐
ken lane marking.
R
No vehicle is detected in the adjacent lane.
R
The driven speed is between 50 mph
(80 km/h) and 110 mph (180 km/h).
R
Active Lane Change Assist is switched on in
the multimedia system.
R
Active Steering Assist is switched on and
active.
