You need a clean water filter to get fresh, filtered water. We recommend that you replace the water filter every six months. The refrigerator's water filter light will let you know when those six months are up and should be reset after changing the filter.

1. Turn off the water supply.
2. Dispense water until water no longer comes out of the dispenser.
3. Turn the filter counterclockwise while pulling it out (or down) to remove it.
Replace the water filter
4. Reinstall a new filter by pushing it into place and then turning it clockwise. Make sure the lock icon lines up with the filter housing.
5. Turn the water supply back on again, and dispense some water.
6. Do not forget to reset the filter light so you can stay on top of your filter replacement schedule.
