PREPARING THE COFFEE MACHINE BEFORE
USE
Filling the water tank
1. Carefully remove the water tank.
2. Grab the handle and remove the water tank from the rear of the
appliance.
3. Fill the water tank with clean water up to the maximum mark and
insert it back into the appliance. Make sure that the water tank is
properly installed in its place.
Note:
The water you pour into the water tank should ideally be
at room temperature (approximately 25 °C). Too cold water
can negatively affect the final taste of the coffee beverage.
Caution:
The maximum capacity of the water tank is 1.5 l. Do
not overfill it.
Never fill the water tank with warm or hot water,
sparkling water or other liquids such as milk. This
could damage the appliance.
Never fill the water tank by pouring water into in while
it is inserted inside the appliance. You risk splashing
the appliance overfilling the water tank.
Note:
Do not leave water in the water tank for more than one day.
For preparing quality fresh coffee, it is necessary to always
use fresh water. Using water that is not fresh will affect the
taste of the final beverage.
Filling the coffee bean hopper
1. Remove the coffee bean hopper lid.
2. Pour roasted coffee beans into the hopper and close the lid. Do not
leave the lid of the hopper open, otherwise the coffee beans will lose
their aroma more quickly.
Caution:
Themaximum capacity of the hopper is 180 g of
coffee beans. Do not overfill it.
Never fill the hopper with ground or instant coffee,
caramelised or otherwise specially treated coffee
beans, cocoa beans or other items that may damage
the appliance.
Adjusting the grind fineness
Use the grinding coarseness regulator to adjust the appropriate
coarseness of the ground coffee. Grinding coarseness adjustment is
possible only when the grinder is in operation. The new coarseness
setting will take effect after the second or third coffee preparation following
the grinding coarseness change.
1. Use the grinding coarseness regulator inside the coffee bean hopper to
adjust the coarseness in 15 levels. For first use, we recommend setting
the grinding coarseness to 8 and then adjusting as needed.

2. Turn the regulator clockwise to set acoarser grind, turn
counterclockwise to set afiner grind. Always adjust by one level. Try it
out and then readjust as needed.
3. Only adjust the grinding coarseness when the grinder is running.
Otherwise, damage to the appliance may occur.
4. If the brewed coffee flows out very slowly, it means that the beans
are ground too finely and acoarser grind should be set. If the brewed
coffee flows out too quickly, it means that the grains are ground too
coarsely and afiner grind should be set.
Adjusting the Head Height
The head can be moved up/down according to the height of the cup in
which you will be preparing the coffee. First, place the cup under the
head and then adjust the height.
Brewing unit
Gently press on the centre of the upper part of the service door (it
is marked with aPUSH). The top part of the service door slides out.
Remove it and check that the brewing uniit is properly installed. When
inserting the brewing unit into the coffee machine, align the arrow on
the brewing unit with the arrow above the brewing unit compartment -
see figure C. After you check, close the service door.
If you remove and reinsert the brewing unit and hear aclick, it
indicates that the brewing unit is properly installed.
If the WARNING indicator light is continuously on, the brewing unit is
not installed correctly.
If the WARNING indicator light blinks when you press the beverage
preparation button, the service door is not closed properly.
Drip Tray andCoffee Grounds Container
Place the coffee grounds container on the drip tray.
Insert the drip tray into the coffee machine.
Attach the grid to the outside of the drip tray.
The grid must be firmly secured to prevent the cup with hot beverage
from tipping over during preparation.
Water from the spout flows into the drip tray during each rinse, self-
cleaning, and also any coffee that may spill during brewing. Therefore,
clean and empty the drip tray daily.

CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY
Fully unwind the power cord.
Make sure the water tank is filled with fresh water, there is asufficient
amount of coffee beans in the hopper, and the appliance is properly
assembled.
Plug the mains plug into aproperly grounded power socket.
You will hear ashort beep, the control panel buttons will briefly light
up, then go out. The coffee machine will enter the sleep mode.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
USING THE COFFEE MACHINE
Turning On the Coffee Machine, Rinsing, and Preheating
Place acup or abowl that can hold at least 100 ml under the coffee
spout.
Long press the button to switch on the coffee machine. Ashort
beep will sound, the button will start blinking andthe CLEAN button
will light up.
When switching on for the first time, the coffee machine starts heating
up, and the preparation process begins, during which water is pumped
into the internal circuit, the grinder is checked, and the coffee spout is
rinsed, with aproportional amount of water flowing into the cup (the
proportional amount of water is slightly greater than the amount of
water during normal switching on and automatic rinsing). During this
time, the grinder and pump will briefly operate. This is normal.
Each time you turn it on, the coffee machine starts heating up, the
preparation process begins, the grinder is checked, and the spout is
rinsed, with asmall amount of water flowing into the cup. During this
time, the grinder and pump will briefly operate. This is normal.
Then the coffee machine will warm up. During this time, the buttons
from DOUBLE ESPRESSO to VOLUME will gradually blink. The coffee
machine cannot be operated during this time.
Once the control buttons light up, the coffee machine is ready to use.
Note:
You can skip the rinsing process by pressing the CLEAN
button after turning on the coffee machine. The preheating
process will begin right away.
Turning off the coffee machine
When you have finished using the coffee machine, press the
button to turn it off. The coffee machine will enter the sleep mode.
To switch the appliance completely off, unplug the power cord from
the socket.
Note:
The coffee machine is equipped with an automatic shut-off
and switch to sleep mode function. This occurs after 28
minutes of inactivity. This is normal.
Automatic Rinsing
Each turn on and off of the coffee machine is accompanied by ashort
rinsing of the entire system. In both cases, both the outlet and the
brewing unit are rinsed. Asmall amount of water will flow from the
outlet, so place acup under the outlet with amin. volume of 100 ml.
When the brewing unit is flushed, some of the water gets into
the spent coffee grounds container. This is normal. Therefore, we
recommend regularly emptying the spent coffee grounds container
so that the coffee does not come in contact with the rinse water. Pour
out the water from the rinse, clean the containers, dry them and return
them to their place.
Preparing Espresso (1 and 2 Cups), Lungo, Americano
1. Place acup, mug or glass under the head. Adjust the height of the
head by moving it up or down depending on the size of the cup, mug
or glass.
2. Press the ESPRESSO button (for preparing 1 cup of Espresso),
DOUBLE ESPRESSO (for preparing 2 cups of Espresso) LUNGO (for
preparing Lungo) or AMERICANO (for preparing Americano). The
selected button will light up, the other buttons will turn off.
3. The coffee machine will automatically start the process of grinding,
dosing, tamping the coffee, and dispensing it.
4. Once the coffee dispensing process is complete, you will hear asound
alert, the button will briefly blink, indicating that the coffee machine
is heating up to operating temperature. Once the control panel lights
up, the coffee machine is ready to make another coffee.
Preparing 2 cups of Espresso involves two consecutive preparations
of 1 cup of Espresso. Do not remove the cup from under the head until
the preparation of the second cup is complete.
Preparing Americano coffee consists of preparing 1 cup of Espresso
and adding hot water. Do not remove the cup from under the brew
head until the hot water dispensing is finished.
You can cancel the coffee preparation by pressing the button of the
drink being prepared.
You can adjust the amount of ground coffee and the volume of coffee
dispensed according to your personal preferences by following the
instructions inthe "USER SETTINGS" section.
Note:
During the coffee preparation process, you may hear the
sound of the grinder and pump, and after preparation, the
sound of used ground coffee being expelled into the coffee
grounds container. These are normal sounds.
Note:
At the beginning of the coffee dispensing process, coffee
may drip slowly (2 to 3 seconds after brewing), and then
the full coffee dispensing will start. After the dispensing is
complete, the coffee may drip from the spout for about 6 to
8 seconds. This is normal.

DESCALING
Over time, minerals from the water can build up in the machine’sinner
circuit. This is anatural process. Therefore, regular descaling is
necessary. Mineral deposits can spoil the taste of your coffee.
The coffee machine is equipped with abuilt-in counter that keeps
track of the number of prepared coffees, and once it reaches 500,
the descaling process should be performed. Insuch acase, the
AMERICANO andDOUBLE ESPRESSO buttons will start blinking at
the same time.
