Lenovo Pen Pro for Googlebook (for selected models)
Depending on the model, your Chromebook might come with a Lenovo USI Pen Pro (hereinafter
referred to as "the pen" in this section). The pen offers you smoother and more authentic writing
experience, featuring realistic sound and vibration feedback. When not in use, the pen can be
magnetically attached to your Chromebook.

• The pen contains magnets. Keep a safe distance away from devices and objects that
might be affected by magnets, such as credit cards. The magnet is not visible from the
outside of the pen.
• The pen supports wireless charging through NFC.

When the stylus is powered on, the area can be used to activate Bluetooth broadcasting
and other button functions.

Initial setup of the pen
When you use your Lenovo USI Pen Pro for the first time, the following steps are for your
reference.
Step 1. Attach the pen to your Chromebook for pen charging and activation.
Step 2. Connect the pen to Bluetooth. The pen will start Bluetooth broadcasting when it is
activated successfully. A pop-up will appear on your Chromebook prompting you to
connect the pen to Bluetooth. Alternatively, you may follow the steps below to connect to
Bluetooth.
a. Go to Start menu, and select Settings ➙ Bluetooth & devices ➙ Bluetooth.
b. Turn on the Bluetooth toggle.
c. Select Devices ➙ Add devices ➙ Bluetooth to find the pen and select
it. Note: You can view the pen's charging status in the Bluetooth Settings.

The pen offers many features in addition to natural haptic feedback, low latency and effortless
writing experience.

CHOKING HARZARD—The pen contains a small component (the tip). Keep the pen out of reach of
children under three years old and individuals who have a tendency to place inedible objects in their
mouths.

Important safety and handling information
Plastic bag notice
Danger: Plastic bags can be dangerous. Keep plastic bags away from babies and children to avoid danger of
suffocation.
Safety instructions for parents and adult supervisors
The device is not a toy. As with all electrical products, precautions should be observed during handling and using
of electrical products to reduce the risk of electric shock. If parents choose to allow children to use the device,
they should caution his or her child about the potential hazard while using and handling the mobile device.
Parents should inspect the mobile device periodically for damage. Routinely check this mobile device to ensure
that the device is working properly and is safe for children to use.
Internal rechargeable battery warning
Danger: Do not attempt to replace the internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
Replacing the original battery with an incompatible type may result in an increased risk of personal injury or
property damage due to explosion, excessive heat, or other risks.

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery.

When disposing of the battery, comply with all relevant local ordinances or regulations. Do not dispose the battery
in municipal waste. Dispose used batteries according to the instructions.
The battery contains a small amount of harmful substances.
To avoid injury:
• Keep the battery away from open flames or other heat sources.
• Do not expose the battery to water, rain, or other corrosive liquids.
• Do not leave the battery in an environment with extremely high temperature.
• Avoid short-circuiting the battery.
• Do not leave the battery in an environment with extremely low air pressure. It may result in an
explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas from the battery. To extend battery life, we
recommend charging the battery to at least 30% to 50% capacity each time, and recharging it every three months
to prevent over discharge.
