Shiatsu Foot Massager FM 930
Warranty and repair terms
Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the
warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and
state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for medisana products is three years from date of purchase.
In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of
the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the
warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or
for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g.
non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the
consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are
excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.

GB Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before using
the device, in particular the safety instructions. Keep
the instructions in a safe place for future reference.
If you pass the device on to third parties, be sure to
include these instructions for use.
3. The intensity of the air compression massage can be controlled with the
Intensity button

. The indicator light shows the set intensity: blue light = low;
green light = medium; red = high.
4. The heat function can be switched on or off with the Heat button

heat function is deactivated, the red indicator light goes out.
5. After power on, the default timer is 15 minutes and the indicator lights up in
blue. Press the Timer button

to change the timer: green light = 10 minutes;
red light = 5 minutes.
6. At the end of the massage, press the On/Off button

to switch off the appliance
completely and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet after use.
Duration of massage
In general, you can allow maximum 15 minutes operation for each massage
session, one to two times a day. Make sure the appliance is cooled down
completely before using it again!
Cleaning and maintenance
• Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that the appliance is switched off and
the power supply is disconnected. Allow the unit to cool down.
• Clean the massager with a slightly damp sponge only. Never use brushes,
aggressive cleaning agents, petrol, thinners or alcohol. Rub the unit dry with a
clean dry cloth.
• Never immerse the appliance in water to clean it and ensure water cannot get
into the appliance.
• Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.
• Undo any kinks in the cable.
• Take care to roll up the mains lead to avoid damaging it.
• You should ideally store the device in its original packaging and keep it in a
clean, dry place.
Disposal
This product should not be disposed of together with domestic waste.
Please hand in all electrical or electronic devices at a municipal or
commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an
environmentally acceptable manner. Consult your municipal authority
for information about disposal.

about the power supply
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the
supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
• Only insert the mains plug into a socket when the appliance is switched off.
• Keep the cable and the appliance away from heat, hot surfaces, moisture and
liquids. Do not touch the mains plug when you are standing in water and always
take hold of the plug with dry hands.

inammation of the veins.

• If you experience any pain or discomfort during the massage, stop immediately
and consult your doctor.
• Take care when using the heating function. The appliance has hot surfaces.
Do not use the appliance on small children, vulnerable individuals or people
who are not sensitive to heat.
• Before using the massager, consult your doctor regarding any unexplained
pain, if you are undergoing medical treatment or using medical equipment.

• Check the plug, cable and massager carefully for damage before each use. Do
not attempt to use a defective unit.
• Do not use the appliance if it, or the power cord show signs of damage, if it is
not in perfect working order, or if it has been dropped or become damp. In order
to prevent hazards, always send the unit in to the service centre.
operating the unit
• The device is not to be used for commercial use or medical purposes.
If you have health concerns, consult your doctor before using the
device.
• Only use the massager indoors.
• Do not use the massager in damp rooms (e.g. when bathing or
showering).
• The device must only be used for its intended purpose as described in the
instruction manual.
• Using the unit for any other purpose invalidates the warranty.
• Only use the appliance in the proper way as described in this user manual. The
appliance is not designed to support your full body weight!
• Do not use the appliance while you are asleep or when you are lying in bed.
• Do not use the appliance before going to sleep. The massage has a stimulating
effect.
• Never use the appliance while driving a vehicle or operating a machine.
• The maximum operating time for one session is 15 minutes. Prolonged use
reduces the service life of the appliance.
• Very long periods of use can lead to overheating. So after continuously operating
for 15 minutes, user should stop it for at least 15 minutes before using it again.
• Never put the unit down next to an electric stove or other sources of heat.
• Never leave the unit unattended if it is connected to the power supply.
• Do not allow the appliance to come into contact with pointed or sharp objects.
• Do not cover up the appliance when it is switched on. Never use it under blankets
or cushions. There is a risk of re, electric shock or injury.

• The unit is maintenance free. If a fault does occur, just check whether the mains
power plug is properly connected.
• You may only clean the device yourself. If the device malfunctions please do not
repair it yourself as this leads to the automatic expiry of all guarantee rights.
• Ask your specialist dealer and have repairs carried out by the service only.
• Do not immerse the device in water or other uids.
• If, nonetheless, liquid should penetrate the device, unplug the mains cable
immediately.

What is the Shaitsu foot massager FM 930 used for?
Our feet are under great strain each and every day, making them especially
vulnerable to tenseness, muscle pains and hardened muscles. The medisana
Shiatsu foot massager FM 930 lets you give your feet a treat, helping them to
relax after a long day. Each massage can be combined with heat treatment. This
promotes relaxation, improves the blood circulation and has a soothing effect on
the muscles.
CAUTION
Make sure that the maximum operating time of 15 minutes is not exceeded.
Foot massage
Place the medisana Shiatsu foot massager FM 930 on the oor in front of a
comfortable chair and plug the mains plug into the mains outlet.

2. The default massage mode is mode 1 when switching the device on. Press the
Mode button (2) to switch the massage mode. The indicator light shows the
present mode:
Blue light : Mode 1 (constant shiatsu and air compression massage)
Green light : Mode 2 (interval shiatsu and air compression massage)
Red light : Mode 3 (air compression massage only)
