passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

When using light strips, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the

risk of re, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:

installation and retain them for future reference.

» Check the packaging and make sure you have all of the parts listed.

» When using the product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the

risk of re, electric shock, or injury to persons.

» Remove all packaging and wraps from the product.

» Decide on the appropriate location for your product. The xing point(s) selected must be

capable of supporting the full weight of the light tting.

» Always refer to the installation drawing for the orientation of the product.

» To obtain optimum adhesion, the bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and well-unied.

Firm application pressure helps develop better adhesive contact and improve bond strength.

» Ensure the cable is routed so it does not present a hazard (avoid dangling loops where the

cable is likely to be pulled/caught).

» Never put anything on the product or hang anything on any part of this product.

» Never use the terminal cables to bear the product weight.

» The external exible cable or cord of this light strip cannot be replaced. If the cord is

damaged, the light strip must be destroyed.

» This product is suitable for indoor use only and not for areas constantly subject to moisture,

such as bathroom.

» Do not connect the light strip to electricity while it is in the packaging. Do not keep the

lights on for more than three minutes when the LED light strip is in the rolled-up condition.

Please ensure the lights are unrolled before normal usage.

» Don’t install the Controller in a place where there is no Wi-Fi signal or a weak Wi-Fi signal.

» Don’t connect the product to any other dimmers, such as the Triac dimmer or 0-10V

dimmers.

Parts Overview

Set Up the Light Strip with Alexa

You can set up the Light Strip with the QR code on your printed Quick Setup Guide

(recommended) or on the product. You can also set it up without a QR code.

CAUTION

Do not keep the lights on for more than three minutes when the LED strip is in

the rolled-up condition. Please ensure the lights are unrolled before normal usage.

Do not bend your light strip along the LEDs and cut lines.

Set Up with the Quick Setup Guide QR Code (Recommended)

NOTICE

Certain devices may automatically connect to Alexa using Amazon’s Frustration-Free

Setup technology.

1. Download the latest version of Alexa app from the app store, and log in.

2. Connect the power adapter, controller, and the light strip, then power it up.

3. In the Alexa app, tap More from the bottom menu, then tap Add a Device.

4. Tap Light, then tap Amazon Basics.

5. Select Amazon Basics Light Strip.

6. Follow the steps in the Alexa app to complete setup. When prompted, scan the QR code on

the back of your printed Quick Setup Guide. If you have more than one smart light strip and

arescanning the QR code in your Quick Setup Guide, match the DSN number on the smart

light strip with the QR code.

NOTICE

Do not scan the barcode on the packaging. If the barcode scan fails, refer to

“Alternative Setup Methods” on page 6.

Alternative Setup Methods

Option 1: Set Up with the QR Code on the Product

1. Download the latest version of Alexa app from the app store, and log in.

2. Connect the power adapter, controller, and the light strip, then power it up.

3. In the Alexa app, tap More from the bottom menu, then tap Add a Device.

4. Tap Light, then tap Amazon Basics.

5. Select Amazon Basics Light Strip.

6. Follow the steps in the Alexa app to complete setup. When prompted, scan the QR code on

the product.

NOTICE

Do not scan the barcode on the packaging. If the barcode scan fails or you lose the

Quick Setup Guide, refer to “Option 2: Set Up without the Barcode” on page 5.

Option 2: Set Up without the Barcode

Use these instructions if the QR code setup does not work.

1. Connect the Power Adapter, Controller and the Light Strip, then power it up.

2. In the Alexa app, tap More from the bottom menu, then tap Add a Device.

3. Tap Light, then tap Amazon Basics.

4. Select Amazon Basics Light Strip.

5. When prompted to scan the barcode, tap DON’T HAVE A BARCODE?

6. Tap NEXT, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Set Up the Light Strip

Trimming the Light Strip (Optional)

You may trim the light strip at specic locations to shorten its length. The light strip is not

extendable.

CAUTION

Cutting the light strip at an incorrect location may cause the light strip to stop

working.

1. Unplug your light strip.

2. Determine the length you want the light strip to be. Make sure to consider the power cord

length and distance to a power outlet.

3. Locate a cut line near your desired length, then trim the end of the light strip at the line with

a pair of scissors.

CAUTION

Trimming at a location other than a cut mark may cause the light strip to stop

working.

Installing the Light Strip

WARNING: Do not plug the power adapter into an outlet before installation is completed.

1. Clean and dry a smooth surface for mounting. When choosing a location, consider the

position of the controller and distance to a power outlet.

2. Peel o the adhesive backing section by section as you attach your light strip. To avoid

damage, do not bend your light strip along the LEDs and cut lines.

3. Place the light strip in your desired location, then push on all sections of your light strip for

about 10–15 seconds for a secure hold.

4. Peel the adhesive backing from the controller, then press the controller onto your mounting

surface that is less than 0.75 ft. (23 cm) from the strip input side. Do not move the controller

after it is attached.

5. Remove the Pin-Protection-Cover from the strip, then insert the strip into the control box

connector.

6. Connect the power adapter to the controller, then plug it into a power outlet.

Using the Light Strip

Control the light strip with the Alexa app or by using the built-in controller.

Press the controller button once to turn the light strip on or o.

Press the controller button twice quickly to change the light color.

Resetting to Factory Defaults

» Press and hold the controller button for 10 seconds to factory reset the light strip.

Cleaning and Maintenance

» Before any maintenance or adjustment, disconnect the power cord for at least 10 minutes to

let the product cool down.

» Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive

scourers, metal, or sharp utensils to clean.

Troubleshooting

If the light strip is not functioning properly, try the following solutions. If you have any doubt

about installation/use of this product, consult a qualied electrician.

Problem

My light strip doesn’t turn on.

Solutions

» Make sure that the light strip is plugged into a working power outlet.

» Make sure that all the connections are secure.

» Press the controller button.

» Press and hold the controller button for 10 seconds to factory reset.

» If using the Alexa app, make sure that your Wi-Fi router is connected to the internet. The

distance between the router and light strip may vary depending on the network conditions

and environmental factors.

Problem

My light strip won’t connect to the Alexa app.

Solutions

» Make sure that your phone/tablet and the Alexa app are updated to the latest software

version.

» Verify that your phone/tablet is within 98.4 ft. (30 m) of your light strip.

» Make sure that your phone/tablet and light strip are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

network. The light strip is not compatible with 5GHz networks.

» If you have a dual Wi-Fi router and both network signals have the same name, rename one

and try reconnecting to the 2.4GHz network.

» Make sure that you scan the QR code provided in your Quick Setup Guide or on the

controller.

» Press and hold the controller button for 10 seconds to factory reset your light strip.

Aperçu des pièces

Installation de la bande lumineuse avec Alexa

La bande lumineuse peut être congurée avec le code QR sur le Guide d’installation rapide imprimé

(recommandé) ou sur le produit. Il est aussi possible d'eectuer le réglage sans un code QR.

ATTENTION

Ne pas laisser les lumières allumées pendant plus de trois minutes lorsque

la bande lumineuse à DEL est enroulée. S'assurer que la bande lumineuse est déroulée avant

toute utilisation normale.

Ne pas plier la bande lumineuse le long des DEL et des lignes de coupe.

Conguration avec le code QR du Guide d'installation rapide (Recommandé)

REMARQUE

Certains appareils peuvent se connecter automatiquement à Alexa à l'aide de la

REMARQUE

Méthodes alternatives de conguration

Option 1: Conguration avec le code QR sur le produit

tension.

REMARQUE

Utiliser ces instructions si la conguration avec le code QR ne fonctionne pas.

1. Connecter l'adaptateur d’alimentation, le contrôleur et la bande lumineuse, puis mettre sous

tension.

2. Dans l’application Alexa, toucher More (Plus) dans le menu du bas, puis toucher Add a Device

(Ajouter un appareil).

Installation de la bande lumineuse

Raccourcissement de la bande lumineuse (en option)

Il est possible de couper la bande lumineuse à certains endroits pour en réduire la longueur.

La bande lumineuse ne peut pas être rallongée.

ATTENTION

Le fait de couper la bande lumineuse à un endroit incorrect peut entraîner

l'arrêt du fonctionnement de la bande lumineuse.

1. Débrancher la bande lumineuse.

2. Déterminer la longueur souhaitée de la bande lumineuse. S'assurer de considérer la longueur

du câble d'alimentation et la distance jusqu'à une prise secteur.

3. Repérer une ligne de coupe près de la longueur souhaitée, puis couper l'extrémité de la

bande lumineuse au niveau de la ligne à l'aide d'une paire de ciseaux.

ATTENTION

Le fait de couper la bande lumineuse à un autre endroit que la ligne de coupe

peut entraîner l'arrêt du fonctionnement de la bande lumineuse.

Installation de la bande lumineuse

AVERTISSEMENT: Ne pas brancher l’adaptateur d’alimentation sur une prise secteur avant de

compléter l'installation.

1. Pour le montage nettoyer une surface sèche et souple. Lors du choix d'un emplacement,

considérer la position du contrôleur et la distance jusqu'à une prise secteur.

2. Enlever l’adhésif de chaque section au fur et à mesure que la bande lumineuse est xée. Pour

éviter de l'endommager, ne pas plier la bande lumineuse le long des DEL et des lignes de

coupe.

3. Placer la bande lumineuse à l'endroit souhaité, puis appuyer sur toutes les sections de la

bande lumineuse pendant environ 10 à 15 secondes pour la xer solidement.

4. Décoller l'adhésif au dos du contrôleur, puis appuyer le contrôleur sur la surface de montage,

c'est à dire moins de 23 cm (0,75 pi) du côté de l'entrée de la bande. Ne pas déplacer le

contrôleur une fois qu'il est xé.

5. Retirer le cache de la broche de protection de la bande, puis insérer la bande dans le

connecteur de la boîte de commande.

6. Connecter l’adaptateur d’alimentation au contrôleur, puis le brancher sur une prise secteur.

Utilisation de la bande lumineuse

Contrôler la bande lumineuse avec l'application Alexa ou en utilisant le contrôleur intégré.

Appuyer sur le bouton du contrôleur une fois pour allumer ou

éteindre la bande lumineuse.

Pour modier la couleur, appuyer rapidement deux fois sur le bouton

du contrôleur pour modier la couleur de la bande lumineuse.

Réinitialisation aux paramètres d'origine

» Appuyer sur le bouton contrôleur pendant 10 secondes pour une réinitialisation aux

paramètres d'origine de la bande lumineuse.

Nettoyage et entretien

» Avant tout entretien ou réglage, débrancher le câble d’alimentation pendant au moins 10

minutes pour laisser refroidir le produit.

» L'essuyer à l'aide d'un chion doux, légèrement humide. Ne jamais utiliser des détergents

corrosifs, des brosses métalliques, des tissus abrasifs, des métaux ou des ustensiles acérés

pour nettoyer le produit.

Problèmes et solutions

Si la bande lumineuse ne fonctionne pas correctement, essayer les solutions suivantes. En cas de

doutes sur l’installation ou l’utilisation de ce produit, consulter un électricien qualié.

Problème

La bande lumineuse ne s'allume pas.

Solutions

» Vérier que la bande lumineuse est branchée sur une prise secteur en état de

fonctionnement.

» Vérier que toutes les connexions sont correctes.

» Appuyer sur le bouton du contrôleur.

» Appuyer sur le bouton du contrôleur pendant 10 secondes pour une réinitialisation aux

paramètres d'origine.

» En cas d'utilisation de l'application Alexa, vérier que le routeur Wi-Fi est bien connecté à

l'Internet. Le résultat du test électrique peut varier en fonction des conditions d'essais et de

l'environnement.

Problème

Ma bande lumineuse ne se connecte pas à l’application Alexa.

Solutions

» Vérier que le téléphone ou la tablette et l'application Alexa disposent de la dernière

version du logiciel.

» Vérier que le téléphone ou la tablette est dans un rayon de 30 m (98,4 pi) de la bande

lumineuse.

» Vérier que le téléphone ou la tablette et la bande lumineuse sont connectés sur le même

réseau Wi-Fi de 2,4 GHz. Cette bande lumineuse n'est pas compatible avec un réseau de

5GHz.

» En cas d'utilisation d'un routeur Wi-Fi bibande et les deux signaux ont le même nom, en

renommer un et essayer une reconnexion à la fréquence de réseau de 2,4 GHz.

» S'assurer de numériser le code QR fourni dans le Guide d'installation rapide ou sur le

contrôleur.

» Appuyer sur le bouton du contrôleur pendant 10 secondes pour une réinitialisation aux

paramètres d'origine de la bande lumineuse.

Descripción del producto

Conguración de la cinta de luz con Alexa

Puede congurar la cinta de luz con el código QR que aparece en la Guía de conguración

impresa (recomendado) o en el producto. También puedes congurarlo sin el código QR.

CUIDADO

No mantenga las luces encendidas durante más de tres minutos cuando la cinta

LED esté enrollada. Asegúrese de que las luces estén desenrolladas antes de su uso normal.

No doble la cinta de luz a lo largo de los LED y las líneas de corte.

Conguración con la Guía de instalación rápida Código QR (recomendado)

AVISO

Algunos dispositivos pueden conectarse automáticamente a Alexa mediante la

tecnología de conguración sin frustraciones de Amazon.

1. Descargue la última versión de la aplicación Alexa de la tienda de aplicaciones e inicie la

Opción 1: Conguración con el código QR del producto

1. Descargue la última versión de la aplicación Alexa de la tienda de aplicaciones e inicie la

Puede recortar la cinta de luz en lugares especícos para acortarla. La cinta de luz no es

extensible.

CUIDADO

Al cortar la cinta de luz en un lugar incorrecto, la cinta puede dejar de funcionar.

1. Desenchufe la cinta luz.

2. Calcule la longitud que desea que tenga la cinta de luz. Asegúrese de tener en cuenta la

longitud del cable de alimentación y la distancia a un tomacorriente.

3. Encuentre una línea de corte cerca de la longitud deseada y corte el extremo de la cinta de

luz en la línea con unas tijeras.

CUIDADO

Si corta en otro punto que no sea la marca de corte, es posible que la cinta de

luz deje de funcionar.

Instalación de la cinta de luz

ADVERTENCIA: No enchufe el adaptador de corriente a un tomacorriente antes de completar la

instalación.

1. Limpie y seque una supercie lisa para el montaje. A la hora de elegir una ubicación, tenga

presente la posición del controlador y la distancia a un tomacorriente.

2. Despegue el adhesivo sección por sección a medida que vaya colocando la cinta de luz. Para

evitar daños, no doble la cinta de luz a lo largo de los LED y las líneas de corte.

3. Coloque la cinta de luz en el lugar deseado y, a continuación, presione todas las secciones de

la cinta de luz durante unos 10 - 15 segundos para obtener una sujeción segura.

4. Despegue el adhesivo de la parte posterior del controlador y, a continuación, presione el

controlador sobre la supercie de montaje que esté a menos de 23 cm (0.75 pies) del lado de

entrada de la cinta de luz. No mueva el controlador una vez montado.

5. Retire la tapa de protección de la cinta de luz e insértela en el conector de la caja de control.

6. Conecta el adaptador de corriente al controlador y, a continuación, enchúfalo a un

tomacorriente.
