TECHNICAL INFORMATION
FOR THE INSTALLER
Some models only: Before installing the co-
oktop, remove the protective lm.
Mount an extractor hood above these
appliances to remove fumes and smells
produced during operation.
These cooking hobs are designed to be
embedded into kitchen xtures measuring 600
mm in depth and from 30 to 40 mm thick.
In order to install the cooker top into the kitchen
xture, a hole with the dimensions shown in g.
1.1 has to be made, keeping in consideration
the following:
• within the xture, between the bottom
side of the cooker top and the upper
surface of any other appliance or internal
shelf there must be a clearance of at least
30 mm;
• any wall to the side and above the
cooktop must be at least 300 mm away
(g. 1.2);
• the wall behind the cooktop must be at
least 50 mm away (g. 1.1);
• there must be a distance of at least
650 mm between the hob and any wall
cupboard or extractor hood positioned
immediately above (see g. 1.2);
• the coatings of the walls of the unit or
appliances near the cooktop must be heat
resistant.
Do not instal the appliance near inammable
materials (eg. curtains).
FASTENING THE COOKTOP
Each cooker top is provided with an installation
kit including brackets and screws for fastening
the top to xture panels from 30 to 40 mm thick,
gs. 1.4.
• Cut the unit.
• Stretch gasket “D” over the edge of the
hole made, being careful to overlay the
junction edges
• Turn the cooktop over and put tabs “A” (g. 1.3) into the mountings, only tighten screws “B” a few turns.
Make sure that the tabs are mounted correctly as shown in the gure 1.4. Turn the tabs so that the cooktop
can be put into the hole.
• Put the cooktop into the hole cut into the unit and position it correctly.
• Put tabs “A” into place, tooth “C” of the tabs should go into the hole.
• Tighten screws “B” until the cooktop is completely secured.
• Using a sharp tool cut o󰀨 the part of gasket “D” which protrudes from the cooktop.

ELECTRICAL SECTION
2
GENERAL
• The connection to the electrical network must be
carried out by qualied personnel and must be
according to existing norms.
• The appliance must be connected to the electrical
network verifying above all that the voltage
corresponds to the value indicated on the
specications plate and that the cables section of
the electrical plant can bear the load which is also
indicated on the plate.
• If the appliance is supplied without a power
supply plug and if you are not connecting directly
to the mains, a standardized plug suitable for the
load must be tted.
• The colours of the wires in the appliance power
cable may not correspond with the colours
marked on the terminals of your electrical plug.
The plug should always be wired as follows:
– connect the green/yellow wire to the terminal
marked with the letter “E” or the earth symbol
or coloured green/yellow;
– connect the blue wire to the terminal marked
with the letter “N” or coloured black;
– connect the brown wire to the terminal marked
with the letter “L” or coloured red.
• The bi-polar plug must be connected to an outlet
connected to the grounding unit in conformity to
security norms.
• If the oven is to be connected directly to the mains,
it must be placed with an omnipolar switch with
minimum opening between the contacts of 3 mm
between the appliance and the mains.
• The power supply cable must not touch the hot
parts and must be positioned so that it does not
exceed 50 °C at any point.
• Once the oven has been installed, the switch or
socket must always be accessible.
• If the power supply cable is damaged it must be
substituted by a suitable cable available in the
after sales service.
N.B. For connection to the mains, do not use
adapters, reducers or branching devices as they
can cause overheating and burning.
If the installation requires alterations to the domestic
electrical system call an expert.
He should also check that the domestic electrical
system is suitable for the power absorbed by the
appliance.
The connection of the appliance to the grounding
unit is mandatory.
The manufacturer declines every responsability
for any inconvenience resulting from the
inobservance of this condition.
Before e󰀨ecting any intervention on the electrical
parts of the appliance, the connection to the
network must be interrupted.

GENERAL ADVICE
• Before you begin cleaning, you must ensure that the appliance is switched o󰀨.
• It is advisable to clean when the appliance is cold and especially when cleaning the enamelled parts.
• Clean the outside with a cloth wetted with hot water and soap or water and liquid detergent. To make cleaning
operations easier remove the grill and the pumice stone tray.
• The pumice stone tray and the grill can be washed in the sink, but they are better washed in the dishwasher.
• After each cooking empty the residual fats from the pumice stone tray and wash it carefully. This is to prevent
unpleasant smells during cooking.
• Every 2 or 3 cookings wash the pumice stone with water.
• Clean the heating element very carefully using a dry cloth or a cloth damped just with water.
• Be very careful that no water penetrates inside the appliance.
• Avoid leaving alkaline or acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar, etc.) on the surfaces.
• Avoid using cleaning products with a chlorine or acidic base.
• Stainless steel surfaces: clean with a suitable product. Always dry thoroughly.
• Under no circumstances should any external covers be removed for servicing or maintenance except
