Intended use
• The medisana ultrasonic inhalator IN 525 is suitable for the temporary oral or nasal
inhalation therapy with nebulised medication in private households or in a clinical
environment. The unit must only be used by patients, who became familiar with
the usage of the device resp. who were instructed or are supervised by medical
professionals.
• The user must have read and understood these instructions of use and should
have understood the general machine operation.
• The device may be used by persons, who suffer from asthma, chronic lung
diseases (e.g. COPD, bronchitis or emphysema) or other respiratory diseases,
which are characterized by obstructive air flow.
• Use the device only according to its intended purpose as specified in the instruction
manual. The warranty will be invalidated if used for purposes other than those for
which it is intended.
• Any application other than the herewith described is improper and therefore
considered dangerous. If the appliance is not used according to the instructions,
the user is liable for the safe operation of the unit.
• Only use genuine accessories and spare parts provided by the manufacturer.
• Use only liquid medications that have been approved for use in inhalation therapy.
Before starting therapy, discuss the length, dosage, frequency of use and the
selection of the medication with your doctor or pharmacist.
• The nebulization intensity fluctuates depending on the used medication. Do not use
only water in the nebulizer for nebulizing purposes.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Small parts can be swallowed. Therefore keep and dispose of all small parts out of
reach of children.
• This device may become unusable due to voltage fluctuations, empty batteries or
mechanical failure. We therefore recommend to always have spare batteries resp.
a spare device available.
• If the device does not switch off automatically when the tank is empty, press the
ON/OFF-button u to switch it off manually.
• Disinfect all parts of the nebulizer including mask before first use, after each use
and after a long period of non-usage (see point “Cleaning and maintenance”).
WARNING
Danger of infection from contaminated nebulizer unit!
Follow the hygiene regulations (e.g. thoroughly washing the hands)
before each use and make sure that the nebulizer unit has been cleaned
and disinfected before first and after each use according to point
“Cleaning and maintenance”.
Do not share one device with other persons to avoid the risk of infection!
• If the unit is visibly damaged or if you assume a defect, do not use the appliance.
Contact the service centre.
• If you want to connect the device to your power supply with the optional adaptor,
please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with
your mains supply.
• Do not touch the adaptor or the adaptor cable with wet hands.
• Do not drop the device.
• Make sure, that all parts are correctly assembled before you use the appliance.
• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself in the event of a malfunction. Repairs
should only be carried out by authorised service centres.
• Do not open or modify the device.
• Never expose the device to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
• Never try to clean the mesh with any objects - this could lead to damages!
• Never hold the device or parts of the device under running water for cleaning. Pay
attention, that no liquid can reach the inner parts of the device.
• Never transport or store the device, if still liquid is inside of the tank. This could leak
and damage the device.

Please contact your supplier if you notice any transport damage on unpacking the unit.
The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any
packaging material no longer required. If you notice any transport damage
during unpacking, please contact your dealer without delay.
WARNING
Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept away from the reach of
children! Risk of suffocation!
Trouble-Shooting
In case of malfunctions please pay attention to the following points:
Problem: No or low nebulization
Solution: Replace the batteries, clean the electrodes t with a slightly moistened,
smooth cloth and clean the appliance according to chapter “Cleaning
maintenance“. Check, whether the nebulizer unit is correctly mounted
on the device base and if there is sufficient contact between inhalant
and mesh (hold device straight).
Problem: No nebulization and power indicator y does not light up or lights up
only shortly.
Solution: Check, if the batteries have been inserted correctly and if these provide
enough power. If in doubt, exchange the batteries. Check, whether the
nebulizer unit is correctly mounted on the device base and if there is
sufficient contact between inhalant and mesh (hold device straight).
Problem: The device switches itself off during, although there is still inhalant in the
tank.
Solution: The mesh e is defective or there is no correct connection between
nebulizer unit and device base. Clean the electrodes t with a slightly
moistened, smooth cloth and check, if the nebulizer unit has been
mounted onto the device base correctly and if there is sufficient contact
between inhalant and mesh (hold device straight). Exchange the
nebulizer unit.
Problem: Inhalant leaks off the device.
Solution: The silicone seal could be defective. Check, if the nebulizer unit is
correctly mounted on the device resp. exchange the nebulizer unit.
If above points do not help to solve the problem, contact the customer service.
Directives / norms
This inhalation device meets the requirements of the EU standard 93/42/EWG
(medical device directive) and of the standard EN 13544-1: 2007 Respiratory
therapy equipment - Part1: Nebulising systems and their components.
Electromagnetic compatibility:
The device complies with the EN 60601-1-2 standard for electromagnetic
compatibility. You can find details on this measurement data on the seperate
enclosure.
Disposal
This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste.
All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices,
regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a
municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of
in an environmentally acceptable manner. Please remove the batteries
before disposing of the device/unit. Do not dispose of old batteries with
your household waste, but at a battery collection station at a recycling site or
in a shop. Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information about
disposal.

Warranty and repair terms
Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the
warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and
state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for medisana products is 3 years from date of purchase. In
case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the
sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the
warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or
for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance
of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manu- facturer to the
consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded
even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.

NOTES
• Consult your doctor before using any medicinal products or medicines to ensure
that they are suitable for your needs or alternatively only use the medicinal
products/medicine prescribed for you by your doctor.
• The medisana IN 525 ultrasonic inhaler is suitable for use with all common
aerosol products (aerosols) with the exception of:
- Products with solid constituents (suspensions)
- Viscous solutions (high viscosity)
- Volatile oils
• Do not use any volatile oils since this may lead to damage to the nebulizer mesh.
• Use only water-soluble products/medicines or those which have an alcohol base.
• Use only isotonic saline solution to dilute the inhalant; otherwise bronchial
spasms may occur in certain circumstances.
• Do not use oil-based inhalants.
• After using the device for salt solution inhalation, it must be cleaned and rinsed
out, according to section “Cleaning and maintenance“.
Ultrasound technology
An aerosol is generated in the ultrasonic nebulizer due to the vibrations of a
piezoelectric crystal. Thus, electric energy is transformed into mechanical oscillations
which create droplets. The optimum diameter of the droplets is 1 - 5 μm (according
to «Guidelines for the aerosol therapy of lung diseases», Lungenliga Schweiz). The
droplets can only penetrate into the narrow branches of the upper and lower airways
if they have a small diameter thus transporting and depositing the medicine where it is
intended to be most effective.

Accessories
There is no provision for combining with other devices. Use only the original
accessories with this device since only then can safe operation be guaranteed.
Leakage safety
When pouring the inhalant into the active ingredient tank w, only fill it to the maximum
mark (8 ml). The recommended filling quantity is between 0.5 and 8 ml.
During inhalation, you may tilt the device for up to 15 seconds to the front, rear or
lateral side, without impairing the nebulisation effect or the treatment success. If -
however - the contact between medication and mesh is interrupted for more than 15
seconds, the device will automatically switch off.
The medisana IN 525 is leakage proof. Do not, however, shake the device when the
active ingredient tank is full; there is a chance that liquids could get into the electronics
and destroy the device.
Operating
Inserting / removing batteries
Open the battery compartment i on the underside of the unit by exerting slight
pressure whilst sliding it simultaneously in the direction of the arrow. Insert the two
supplied batteries (type AA LR6). Remember to insert the batteries as indicated in
the illustration on the base of the device. Replace the lid, pressing it until it snaps into
place. If the battery indicator a lights up in orange when the device is switched on,
replace the batteries. If the indicator ashes orange, the device may still be used for
approx. 30 minutes.
WARNING
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
• Do not disassemble batteries!
• Remove discharged batteries from the device immediately!
• Increased risk of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes!
If battery acid comes in contact with any of these parts, rinse the affected area
with copious amounts of fresh water and seek medical attention immediately!
• If a battery has been swallowed seek medical attention immediately!
• Replace all of the batteries simultaneously!
• Only replace with batteries of the same type, never use different types of
batteries together or used batteries with new ones!
• Insert the batteries correctly, observing the polarity!
• Remove the batteries from the device if it is not going to be used for an extended
period!
• Keep batteries out of children›s reach!
• Do not attempt to recharge or short circuit these batteries! There is a danger of
explosion!
• Do not throw into a re! There is a danger of explosion!
Do not throw used batteries into the household refuse; put them in a
hazardous waste container or take them to a battery collection point,
at the shop where they were purchased!
Using a mains adaptor
Alternatively, you can use the unit with a special mains adaptor (medisana Art.-No.
54118 (EU) or 54119 (GB)). This connects to the jack o on the unit. In this case the
batteries should be removed from the device. The appliance is not suitable to charge
batteries. We recommend to follow the points mentioned in chapter “Preparation“
before connecting the device to the mains adaptor.
Preparation
1. Make sure, the device is switched off (power indicator y is not illuminated).
2. Separate the nebulizer unit from the device base by pressing the release button s
and sliding the nebulizer unit to the front.
3. Open the cover of the active ingredient tank q and fill the tank w with inhalant
(maximum capacity 8 ml = 8 ccm). Please observe the dosage and instructions for
use on the information leaflet enclosed with the medicine you are using.
4. Close the cover of the active ingredient tank q.
5. Place the nebulizer unit onto the device base appropriately and lock it (it clicks into
place).
5. An inhalation application should not exceed 30 minutes.
6. When the tank w is empty, the power indicator y lights up in orange and the device
will switch itself off after a short period of time. You may also switch off the device
by pressing the ON/OFF button u after terminating the inhalation, even if you have
not used up all the inhalant. The power indicator y expires.
7. Pour out the rest of the inhalant. Do not use it again. Clean the device immediately
after each use (also refer to “Cleaning and maintenance”).
Once you have used the mouthpiece r for a certain time, two or three drops of
inhalant solution may gather in the mouthpiece pipe. However, this does not affect
the operation and function of the device. Wipe off the drops with a soft cloth after use.
Inhalation using the mask
Alternatively, a child and an adult inhalation mask is supplied with the device.
These masks may be used for inhaling aerosol through the nose. This method is
particularly suitable for elderly people.
NOTES
• Hold the device as upright as possible. A slight tilt does not affect its use
(leakage proof). However, take care during inhalation to only tilt the device
slightly in any direction.
• If you tilt the device too much, the medication may loose sufficient contact to the
membrane. In this case, the device will automatically switch off after approx. 15
seconds.
• Tilt the device slightly when the remaining aerosol is almost exhausted to
make sure the residual quantity will be spread through the mesh and sprayed
completely.
NOTES
A larger amount of aerosol remains on the mucosa of the nasal pharynx
when using the mask than when using the mouthpiece.
For the inhalation with the mask, plug the adult mask d or the child mask f onto
the outlet of the ingredient tank. Afterwards, follow the steps mentioned in chapter
“ Inhalation using the mouth-piece“.
The difference is, that the mouth does not need to be put on the mouthpiece, but
instead needs to be pressed lightly over your mouth and nose. Make sure, that the
mask seals around mouth and nose without being too tight. Now breathe in and out
slowly and deeply through your nose.
Constant use
For a constant use of this device we recommend, to use it 3 times per day with
10 minutes for each session (with mask or mouthpiece) at a room temperature of
approx. 23°C. Under these circumstances, the main unit provides 3 years and the
nebulizer unit provides 6 months of a durable period of service.
The nebulizer unit is a part of wear and tear and is not covered by the warranty. The
nebulizer unit may be reordered under art. no. 54116.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Remove the mask if applicable.
• When cleaning, do not hold the whole device or the nebulizer unit under running
water. Take care to ensure that no water gets inside the device.
• Clean the device›s casing with a lightly moistened cloth that has been soaked in
mild soapy water.
• Clean the mask under running water.
• Clean the electrodes of the device base and the nebulizer unit carefully with a
smooth, slightly dampened cloth.
• The base and the nebulizer unit can be cleaned in the following way:
1. Pour out any residual inhalant in the active ingredient tank w.
2. Fill some drinking water into the tank.
3. Turn on the device to nebulize the distilled water for 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Now take out the batteries (resp. disconnect the power supply) and remove the
nebulizer unit from the device base.
5. Clean the nebulizer unit by hand with distilled water.
6. Afterwards let all parts completely dry on the air on a smooth, dry padding (e.g.
a towel).
• This cleaning routine should also be carried out if the device has not been used for
a longish period of time and prior to using for the rst time.
NOTES
Carry out the cleaning instructions carefully directly after each use as
described below.
WARNING
• Keep the battery compartment i dry all the time!
• Never touch the mesh e with a finger or objects!
• Do NOT clean the device or any parts in a dishwasher!
• Do NOT use microwave ovens to dry any parts!
Disinfection of the nebulizer unit
In the case of infectious illnesses, you need to follow below steps to disinfect the
nebulizer unit additionally. We recommend, that this measure is performed regularly
either in the morning or the evening at a fixed time:
• Rinse the nebulizer unit with distilled water.
• Boil some distilled water in a pot.
• As soon as the water is boiling, take the pot away from the cooking area and put
the nebulizer unit into the water for approx.10 minutes.
• Remove the nebulizer unit from the water and let it dry and cool down on the open
air (e.g. on a towel).
• Alternatively (instead of using distilled water) you may disinfect the nebulizer unit
with a solution of 75% cleaning alcohol - with this, the time to put the unit into the
liquid reduces to 1 minute only. Afterwards, rinse the unit with distilled water and
let it dry on the open air.
• Make sure that no disinfectant residues are left behind on the parts of the device
to ensure safe inhalation when next used.
Important information about inhalation therapy
Living = breathing / Breathing = living
Often, diseases of the respiratory system or the lung are lengthy, painful and life
restricting. Timely, effective therapies such as inhalation therapy with aerosols can
be of great help and assistance. A gas + particle mixture is defined as an aerosol;
mist is an example of a natural aerosol. Aerosol therapy delivers medicines in an “air
transported” form (e.g. nebulized) which are inhaled. The great advantage of this
therapy (unlike taking tablets for example) is that the medicines are administered at
the precise point where they will have greatest effect (via the oro-nasalpharyngeal
cavity into the lung) without passing through other organs:
1. The effect is noticeably rapid.
2. There is no (significant) effect or side effect on other organs.
3. Small quantities of medicines are used.
WARNING
• NEVER put the nebulizer unit directly into the boiling water when the
pot is still on the cooking area!
• Solutions with alcohol are highly flammable. Therefore, NEVER clean
the device near open fire or smoke.
Transportation and storage
• Store the appliance with all parts in a dry and clean place.
• Make sure, that no residual liquids are in the ingredient tank w during storage or
transportation.
• Remove the batteries if you do not use the device for a longer time.
• Avoid storage locations with direct sun exposure, extreme temperatures and high
humidity.
• Always keep the device away from fire, electromagnetic radiation and from children.

Inhalation using the mouthpiece
1. Sit as upright as possible.
2. Put the mouthpiece r onto the device base and enclose the mouthpiece completely
with your lips.
3. Switch on the device by pressing the ON/OFF button u. The power indicator y
lights up in green. The aerosol warms up slightly during operation and the tank w
will light up in blue.
4. Now breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth and out through your nose.
You can improve the effectiveness of the therapy, if you hold your breath for a short
time after breathing in. However, this is not necessary for general success of the
therapy. It is only important that you keep quiet and relaxed while breathing Do
not inhale too fast. If you need a break, stop using the device for a short time and
take the mouthpiece r out of your mouth. Then put it into your mouth again (lips
enclosing it tightly) and breathe slowly in and out again.

• Alat sedut ultrasonik IN 525 medisana sesuai digunakan untuk terapi penyedutan

asas pengendalian mesin.
• Peranti boleh digunakan oleh orang yang menghidap asma, penyakit paru-paru

mengganggu saluran pernafasan.
• Gunakan peranti ini untuk tujuan yang ditetapkan sahaja seperti yang dinyatakan

Jangan kongsi satu peranti dengan orang lain untuk mengelakkan risiko jangkitan!
• Jika terdapat sebarang kerosakan ketara atau jika anda mengesyaki kecacatan,
jangan gunakan alat ini. Hubungi pusat perkhidmatan.
• Jika anda hendak menyambung peranti ke punca kuasa dengan penyesuai pilihan,
pastikan bekalan voltan yang dinyatakan pada plat kadaran peranti sesuai dengan
bekalan sesalur anda.
• Jangan sentuh penyesuai atau kabel penyesuai dengan tangan yang basah.
• Jangan jatuhkan peranti.
• Pastikan semua bahagian disambungkan dengan betul sebelum anda
menggunakan peranti.
• Jangan cuba membaiki peranti ini sendiri jika ia rosak. Alat ini hanya boleh dibaiki
di pusat servis yang sah.
• Jangan buka atau ubah suai peranti.
• Jangan dedahkan peranti kepada cahaya matahari terus atau suhu melampau.

Mengesan masalah
Jika berlaku kepincangan fungsi, ambil perhatian akan perkara berikut:
Masalah: Tiada penebulan atau penebulan rendah
Penyelesaian: Ganti bateri, bersihkan elektrod t menggunakan kain lembut
yang lembap dan bersihkan peralatan seperti arahan dalam seksyen
“Pembersihan dan penjagaan”. Periksa jika unit penebula dipasangkan

Penyelesaian: Periksa bateri dimasukkan dengan betul dan jika kuasanya cukup.
Jika ragu-ragu, ganti bateri. Periksa jika unit penebula dipasangkan
pada dasar peranti dengan betul dan ubat sedut bersentuh dengan
jaring secukupnya (tegakkan peranti).
Masalah: Peranti terpadam sendiri semasa penggunaan walaupun masih ada
ubat sedut di dalam tabung.
Penyelesaian: Jaring e rosak atau unit penebula tidak bersambung dengan
betul dengan dasar peranti. Bersihkan elektrod t dengan kain lembut
yang lembap sedikit dan periksa jika unit penebula dipasangkan pada
dasar peranti dengan betul dan ubat sedut bersentuh dengan jaring
secukupnya (tegakkan peranti). Gantikan unit penebula.
Masalah: Kebocoran ubat sedut daripada peranti
Penyelesaian: Penutup silikon mungkin rosak. Periksa jika unit penebula
dipasangkan pada dasar peranti dengan betul, tukar unit penebula jika
perlu.
Jika langkah di atas tidak dapat menyelesaikan masalah anda, hubungi khidmat
pelanggan.

Peranti penyedut ini mematuhi syarat EU standard 93/42/EWG (arahan peranti
perubatan) dan standard EN 13544-1: Kelengkapan terapi pernafasan 2007 -

Peranti ini mematuhi standard EN 60601-1-2 untuk keserasian elektromagnet.

Syarat waranti dan pembaikan

Syarat waranti berikut dikenakan:
1. Tempoh waranti produk medisana ialah 3 tahun dari tarikh pembelian. Untuk
membuat tuntutan waranti, tarikh pembelian perlu dibuktikan dengan resit jualan

2. Kecacatan pada bahan atau pembuatan akan dibaiki secara percuma dalam
tempoh waranti.
3. Pembaikan dalam tempoh waranti tidak akan melanjutkan tempoh waranti sama

4. Perkara berikut tidak termasuk dalam waranti:
a. Semua kerosakan yang terjadi akibat pengendalian yang tidak betul, contohnya
arahan pengguna tidak dipatuhi.
b. Semua kerosakan yang terjadi akibat pembaikan yang dilakukan oleh pengguna
sendiri atau oleh pihak ketiga yang tidak sah.
c. Kerosakan yang telah berlaku ketika dalam perjalanan dari pengeluar ke tempat
pengguna atau dalam perjalan ke pusat perkhidmatan.
d. Aksesori yang terdedah kepada kelusuhan dan kerosakan biasa.
5. Liabiliti daripada kerugian yang berkait secara langsung atau tidak langsung yang
disebabkan oleh unit ini dikecualikan walaupun kerosakan unit diterima sebagai
tuntutan waranti.

dan penjagaan“.
Teknolgoi ultrabunyi
Aerosol dijana di dalam penebula ultrasonik melalui getaran hablur piezoelektrik.
Oleh itu tenaga elektrik ditukar kepada ayunan mekanikal yang menghasilkan titisan.
Garis pusat titisan yang optimum ialah 1 - 5 μm (menurut «Panduan terapi aerosol
untuk penyakit paru-paru», Lungenliga Schweiz). Titisan hanya boleh melalui saluran
pernafasan bahagian atas dan bawah yang sempit jika saiznya kecil, ia membawa dan
menempatkan ubat pada bahagian yang paling berkesan.
Maklumat penting apabila menggunakan sebatian / ubat

Aksesori
Tiada saranan untuk menggunakan bersama peranti lain. Gunakan aksesori asli
sahaja dengan peranti ini kerana ia akan menjamin penggunaan yang selamat.
Keselamatan kebocoran
Apabila menuang ubat sedut ke dalam tabung bahan aktif w, isi sehingga tanda
maksimum (8 ml) sahaja. Kuantiti isian yang disarankan ialah antara 0.5 dan 8 ml.
Semasa penyedutan, anda boleh mencondongkan peranti sehingga 15 darjah
ke depan, belakang atau arah sisi, tanpa menjejaskan kesan penebulan atau
keberkesanan rawatan. Walau bagaimanapun, jika sentuhan antara ubat dan jaring
terganggu selama lebih daripada 15 saat, peranti akan terpadam secara automatik.
IN 525 medisana adalah kalis bocor. Walau bagaimanapun, jangan goncang peranti
apabila tabung bahan aktif penuh; cecair boleh memasuki bahagian elektronik dan
merosakkan peranti.
Pengendalian
Memasukkan / mengeluarkan bateri
Buka tempat bateri 3 di bahagian bawah peranti dengan menekan sambil menolak

Pastikan anda masukkan bateri seperti yang ditunjukkan pada rajah pada dasar
peranti. Letak semula penutup tempat bateri, tekan sehingga ia masuk ke tempatnya.
Jika penunjuk bateri a menyala dengan warna jingga semasa peranti dihidupkan,
gantikan bateri. Jika penunjuk berkelip dengan warna jingga, peranti masih boleh
digunakan untuk lebih kurang 30 minit.

MAKLUMAT KESELAMATAN BATERI
• Jangan ceraikan bateri!
• Keluarkan bateri yang telah tiada kuasa serta merta!
• Peningkatan risiko bateri cair, elakkan daripada terkena kulit, mata dan membran
mukus! Jika asid bateri terkena mana-mana bahagian ini, bilas bahagian
tersebut dengan air bersih yang banyak dan dapatkan rawatan dengan segera!
• Jika tertelan bateri, dapatkan rawatan serta merta!
• Gantikan semua bateri pada masa yang sama!
• Gantikan semua bateri dengan jenis yang sama, jangan sekali-kali gunakan
bateri berlainan jenis pada masa yang sama atau menggunakan bateri lama
bersama dengan yang baharu!
• Masukkan bateri dengan betul, pastikan kutubnya!
• Keluarkan bateri daripada peranti ini jika ia tidak akan digunakan dalam jangka
masa yang lama!
• Simpan bateri jauh daripada kanak-kanak!
• Jangan cuba untuk mengecas semula bateri atau mengenakan litar pintas!
Terdapat bahaya letupan!
• Jangan campakkan ke dalam api! Terdapat bahaya letupan!
Jangan buang bateri ke dalam sampah isi rumah; letakkan di dalam
bekas sisa berbahaya atau serahkan kepada pusat pungutan bateri,
di kedai yang menjualnya!
Menggunakan Penyesuai Sesalur
Sebagai alternatif, anda boleh menggunakan unit ini dengan penyesuai sesalur khas
(MEDISANA Art.- No. 54118 (EU) atau 54119 (GB)). Ia bersambung ke bicu o pada
unit. Dengan penggunaan ini, bateri perlu dikeluarkan daripada peranti. Alat ini tidak
sesuai untuk mengecas bateri. Kami sarankan anda ikut langkah dalam seksyen
“Persediaan” sebelum menyambungkan peranti ke penyesuai sesalur.
Per sediaan
1. Pastikan peranti dipadamkan (penunjuk kuasa y tidak menyala).
2. Asingkan unit penebula daripada dasar peranti dengan menekan butang pelepas
s dan tolak unit penebula ke depan.
3. Buka penutup tabung bahan aktif q dan isi tabung w dengan ubat sedut (muatan
maksimum 8 ml = 8 sm padu). Sila patuhi dos dan arahan penggunaan pada
risalah maklumat yang disertakan bersama ubat yang anda gunakan.
4. Tutup tabung bahan aktif q.
5. Letakkan unit penebula pada dasar peranti dengan betul dan kuncikannya (ia
masuk ke tempatnya).
5. Satu sesi penyedutan tidak boleh melebihi 30 minit.
6. Apabila tabung
w kosong, penunjuk kuasa y menyala dengan warna jingga dan
peranti akan terpadam sendiri selepas seketika. Anda boleh padamkan peranti
dengan menekan suis ON /OFF
u selepas menghentikan penyedutan, walaupun
anda tidak menghabiskan ubat sedut. Penunjuk kuasa

7. Keluarkan baki ubat sedut. Jangan gunakannya lagi. Bersihkan peranti dengan
segera selepas setiap penggunaan (rujuk “Pembersihan dan penjagaan”).
Setelah menggunakan corong mulut
r untuk beberapa ketika, beberapa titis larutan
ubat sedut mungkin terkumpul pada paip corong mulut. Walau bagaimanapun
ia tidak menjejaskan operasi dan fungsi peranti. Lap titisan tersebut dengan kain
lembut selepas penggunaan.
Penyedutan menggunakan sungkup muka
Sebagai alternatif, sungkup muka penyedutan disertakan bersama peranti ini.
Sungkup muka ini boleh digunakan untuk menyedut aerosol melalui hidung.
Kaedah ini sesuai untuk orang tua.
NOTA
• Pegang peranti setegak yang mungkin. Jika ia condong sedikit tidak akan
menjejaskan penggunaannya (tidak bocor). Walau bagaimanapun, semasa
penyedutan, berhati-hati agar peranti condong sedikit sahaja ke sebarang arah.
• Jika anda terlalu condongkan peranti, ubat mungkin tidak terkena membran.
Dalam keadaan ini, peranti akan terpadam secara automatik selepas lebih
kurang 15 saat.
• Condongkan peranti sedikit apabila aerosol hampir habis untuk memastikan
baki yang tinggal akan mengalir ke jaring dan disemburkan sepenuhnya.
NOTA
Lebih banyak aerosol berada di mukosa farinks hidung apabila
menggunakan sungkup muka berbanding menggunakan corong mulut.
Untuk penyedutan menggunakan sungkup muka, sambungkan sungkup muka
dewasa
d atau sungkup muka kanak-kanak f ke saluran keluar tabung
bahan. Selepas itu, ikut langkah yang dijelaskan dalam seksyen “Penyedutan
menggunakan corong mulut“. Perbezaannya ialah corong mulut tidak perlu
diletakkan di mulut, sebaliknya sungkup muka diletakkan di atas mulut dan hidung.
Pastikan sungkup muka menutup hidung dengan rapat tetapi tidak terlalu ketat.
Sekarang tarik nafas perlahan-lahan dan dalam-dalam melalui hidung anda.
Penggunaan berterusan
Untuk penggunaan peranti yang berterusan, kami sarankan gunakan 3 kali sehari,
10 minit setiap sesi (dengan sungkup muka atau corong mulut) dalam suhu bilik lebih
kurang 23°C. Dengan cara ini, unit utama boleh digunakan selama 3 tahun dan unit
penebula selama 6 bulan.
Unit penebula adalah mudah lusuh dan rosak oleh itu ia tidak termasuk dalam
waranti. Unit penebula boleh ditempah semula di bawah nombor art. 54116.
Pembersihan dan penjagaan
• Tanggalkan sungkup muka jika berkenaan.
• Semasa membersihkan, jangan letak peranti atau unit penebula di bawah air yang
mengalir. Berhati-hati dan pastikan peranti tidak dimasuki air.
• Bersihkan kotak peranti dengan kain lembap yang telah direndam di dalam air
sabun yang cair.
• Bersihkan sungkup muka di bawah air yang mengalir.
• Bersihkan elektrod dasar peranti dan unit penebula dengan berhati-hati
menggunakan kain lembut yang lembap.
• Dasar peranti dan unit penebula boleh dibersihkan dengan cara berikut:
1. Keluarkan sebarang ubat sedut yang berbaki di dalam tabung bahan aktif w.
2. Masukkan air suling ke dalam tabung.
3. Hidupkan peranti untuk penebulan air suling selama 1 hingga 2 minit.
4. Sekarang keluarkan bateri (atau putuskan bekalan kuasa) dan tanggalkan unit
penebula daripada dasar peranti.
5. Bersihkan unit penebula dengan air suling menggunakan tangan.
6. Selepas itu, keringkan sepenuhnya semua bahagian dengan mendedahkan
kepada udara di atas kain lembut, tebal yang kering (contohnya tuala).
• Rutin pembersihan ini perlu juga dilakukan jika peranti telah tidak digunakan untuk
tempoh yang lama sebelum menggunakannya untuk pertama kali.
NOTA
Patuhi arahan pembersihan dengan teliti sebaik sahaja selepas
penggunaan seperti yang diterangkan di bawah.

Nyahjangkit unit penebula
Dalam kes penyakit berjangkit, anda perlu mematuhi langkah berikut untuk
menyahjangkit unit penebula. Kami sarankan anda lakukan langkah ini dengan
kerap sama ada di waktu pagi atau petang pada masa yang tetap:
• Bilas unit penebula dengan air suling.
• Rebus air suling di dalam periuk.
• Sebaik sahaja air mendidih, alihkan periuk daripada dapur dan letakkan unit
penebula ke dalam air selama lebih kurang 10 minit.
• Keluarkan unit penebula daripada air dan keringkan dan sejukkannya dengan
mendedahkannya di udara (contohnya di atas tuala).
• Sebagai alternatif (selain menggunakan air suling) anda boleh menyahjangkit unit
penebula dengan larutan 75% alkohol pembersih - dengan cara ini, unit hanya
perlu direndam di dalam cecair selama 1 minit sahaja. Selepas itu, bilas unit
dengan air suling dan keringkan di dalam udara.
• Pastikan tiada sisa bahan nyahjangkit tertinggal pada bahagian peranti, bagi
memastikan penyedutan yang selamat semasa penggunaan seterusnya.
Maklumat penting tentang terapi penyedutan
Hidup = bernafas / Bernafas = hidup
Biasanya penyakit sistem pernafasan atau paru-paru adalah lama, menyakitkan
dan membataskan kehidupan. Ada waktunya, terapi yang berkesan seperti terapi
penyedutan dengan aerosol banyak membantu. Campuran gas + zarah ditakrifkan
sebagai aerosol; kabus ialah satu contoh aerosol semula jadi. Terapi aerosol
membekalkan ubat “melalui udara” (contoh: penebulan) yang disedut. Kelebihan
terapi ini (tidak seperti ubat pil contohnya) ialah ubat ini diberi terus ke bahagian
yang dapat menghasilkan kesan terbaik (melalui kaviti oro-nasalpharyngeal ke paru-
paru) tanpa melalui organ lain:
1. Kesannya jelas pantas.
2. Tiada kesan (ketara) atau kesan sampingan kepada organ lain.
3. Menggunakan ubat yang sedikit.

• JANGAN sekali-kali memasukkan unit penebula ke dalam air yang
mendidih semasa periuk masih berada di atas dapur!
• Larutan mengandungi alkohol sangat mudah terbakar. Oleh itu,
JANGAN sekali-kali bersihkan peranti berhampiran api yang
menyala atau asap.
Pengangkutan dan penyimpanan
• Simpan peralatan dan semua bahagiannya di tempat yang kering dan bersih.
• Pastikan tiada sisa cecair di dalam tabung bahan
w semasa penyimpanan atau
perjalanan.
• Keluarkan bateri jika anda tidak menggunakan peranti untuk tempoh yang lama.
• Elakkan tempat penyimpan yang terdedah kepada matahari, suhu melampau dan
sangat lembap.
• Sentiasa jauhkan peranti daripada api, radiasi elektromagnet dan kanak-kanak.

1. Duduk dengan tegak.

4. Sekarang, tarik nafas perlahan-lahan dan dalam-dalam melalui mulut dan hembus
nafas melalui hidung. Anda boleh meningkatkan keberkesanan terapi jika anda
tahan nafas sebentar selepas menarik nafas. Walau bagaimanapun, ia bukanlah
syarat untuk memastikan keberkesanan terapi. Anda cuma perlu diam dan tenang
semasa bernafas. Jangan tarik nafas terlalu laju. Jika anda perlu berehat, berhenti
menggunakan peranti sebentar dan keluarkan corong mulut r daripada mulut
