IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. Read all the instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord or plug in
water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
5. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool off before putting on or taking off parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the
appliance does not work properly or has been damaged in any
manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility
for examination, repair, or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
8. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
10. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing
hot oil or other hot liquids.
11. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the
wall outlet (for the detached power cord). To disconnect, turn OFF any
control, then pull the plug from the wall outlet.
12. Do not immerse in water.
13. A short power-supply cord (or detached power supply cord) is to be
provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
14. If extension cords are available, they may be used if care is exercised
in their use.

15. Clean the cooktop with caution If a wet sponge or cloth is used to
wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to avoid steam burns as
some cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface.
16. Do not heat the pot empty or overheat it.
17. Do not place metallic objects, such as knives, forks, spoons, lids, cans
and aluminum foils, on the top plate.
18. Allow sufficient space around the cooking area.
19. Never use the unit on low-heat-resistant materials (e.g. carpet, vinyl).
20. Do not place a sheet of paper between the pot/ pan and unit. The
paper may burn.
21. Be aware that the unit surface will remain hot for a short period of time.
22. Items with a magnetic field, such as radios, televisions, automatic-
banking cards, and cassette tapes, can affect the unit.
23. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit
into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt modifying the plug in any way.

II. HOW TO USE:
1. Before turning ON the power, make sure the cookware is on the ceramic plate with
ingredients inside.
2. Press the ON/OFF button. The HEAT and TEMP control lamp will blink and an acoustic
signal will sound. If the HEAT or TEMP button is not pressed, the unit will enter the standby
mode after 10 seconds.
3. Press the HEAT or TEMP button to turn ON the unit.
4. To select the proper heat setting (default = 5), press + or - until the correct heat setting is
achieved (heating levels range from 1 to 10).
5. To select the temperature setting, press the TEMP button (default = 270 °F). Once the
temperature light turns a steady red, press the + or - until the correct temperature setting
is achieved (temperature levels: 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, 300, 330, 360, 390, 420, 450 °F).
6. To select the automatic timer setting, press the” Timer” button (defaults =0 minutes). Once
the timer light turns a steady red, press the + or - key until the correct timer setting is
achieved (+5 minutes, -1 minute). To increase or reduce the timer setting quickly, press +
or - in seconds. (max. 180 minutes).
7. If the timer is not set after the cooking time reaches 180 minutes, the LED display will show
EE and sound, then the unit will enter the standby mode. Press the ON/OFF button to
restart the unit.
8. After cooking is completed, press the ON/OFF button again to turn OFF the unit.
NOTICE
If using the unit in HEAT or TEMP mode without setting the TIMER mode,
the LED display will show EE and sound. The unit will stop automatically.
If using the unit in HEAT or TEMP mode with the TIMER mode set at
10 minutes, the maximum TIMER will be 170 minutes. During TIMER
operation, the duration can be changed at any time with the + and -
keys.
NOTE
The power will completely shut off after 10 seconds if the wrong type of
cookware is used or no cookware is placed on the unit, when the machine
is on standby mode.
After pressing the ON/OFF button or cooking has stopped, the fan will run
up to a maximum of 60 seconds until the unit cools off. At that point, the
unit will turn OFF.
III. USABLE AND NON-USABLE UTENSILS:
Compatible pans:
- Steel or cast iron, enameled iron, stainless steel, flat-bottom pans/pots with a diameter
of 4.7 8.6 in.
Non- compatible pans:
- Heat-resistant glass, ceramic container, most copper, aluminum pans/pots. Rounded-
bottom pans/pots with the base measuring less than 4.7 in.

IV. HOW TO CLEAN:
Clean after each use. Disconnect the plug and wait until the unit has cooled down.
Using unclean pots/pans may result in discoloration or stains.
Do not use benzene, thinner, scrubbing brush, or polishing powder to clean the unit.
Wipe down the unit using a dishwashing agent and a damp cloth.
Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt from the air intake and exhaust vent.
Never run water over the unit as it may cause malfunction if water gets inside.

Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

18/0 stainless steel base and a
diameter from 4.7 in. to 8.7 in. at the

unit. After pressing the ON button,
press the FUNCTION button to turn
ON the unit.

The max cooking time has been reached.
Press the ON button to restart the unit if
necessary.
