3.1 Intended Use
This oil pressure testing kit is designed to accurately tests
oil pump pressure, whilst also testing switch and warning
indicators. Fitted with a spring-loaded pressure relief
valve and integrated Schrader one-way valve system.
Supplied in a plastic storage case.
Any other application beyond the conditions established
for use will be considered misuse. Draper Tools accepts no
responsibility for improper use of this product.

damage to the user, test kit or vehicle.
• Keep this product in good working order and
condition. DO NOT operate if any parts are
damaged or missing as this may cause failure
and/or personal injury.
• DO NOT modify any parts and only use accessories
and spare parts supplied by Draper Tools.
• ALWAYS ensure the engine is switched o and cold
before connecting the tester.
• DO NOT move or drive the car while the tester
is connected.
• Keep children and unauthorised persons away from
the work area.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy and ensure that
there is adequate lighting.
• DO NOT use the kit to perform a task for which it is
not designed.
• DO NOT allow untrained persons to use the kit.
• DO NOT use whilst under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol or intoxicating medication.
• After use, clean equipment and store in a cool,
dry, childproof area.
• ALWAYS wear eye protection and suitable hand
protection.

Carefully remove the product from the packaging and
examine it for any signs of damage that may have
occurred during shipment.
Before assembling the product, lay the contents out and
check them against the parts shown below. If any part is
damaged or missing, do not attempt to use the product.

5.2 Packaging
Keep the product packaging for the duration of the
warranty period in case the product needs to be
returned for repair.
WARNING! Keep packaging materials out of
reach of children. Dispose of packaging
correctly and responsibly and in accordance
with local regulations.

Important: Before preparing or adjusting this product,
read and understand all the safety instructions listed in
this manual.
ALWAYS refer to the manufacturer’s service manuals
to ensure the correct testing procedures and
specications are followed.
1. Make sure the engine is switched o and cold before
carrying out the test.
2. Remove the oil pressure sender unit or component to
be tested and attach the appropriate adaptor.
3. Then attach the oil pressure tester and check that it is
securely connected.
4. Start the engine and allow to idle for a few minutes
until it reaches the correct operating temperature.
5. Observe the pressure gauge reading and check
against the specied value in the manufacturer’s
service manual. The needle should be steady if no
fault is evident.
6. Switch the engine o and allow to cool before
removing the tester. Replace the oil sender
connector securely.
• After use, clean and store in the storage case in a cool,
dry, childproof area.
