SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
• Carefully read the instructions before
operating the unit.
• This appliance is only intended for use in an
indoor domestic environment. The
manufacturer does not recommend any
other use and may cause fire, electrical
shock or other injuries to a person or
damage to property.
• Rating: This unit must only be connected to
an AC 220-240V / 50 Hz earthed outlet.
Installation must be in accordance with the
regulations of the country where the unit is
used.
• If you are in any doubt about the suitability
of your electrical supply, have it checked
and, if necessary, modified by a qualified
electrician.
• The fuse rating can be found on the plug
itself.
• This dehumidifier has been tested and is
safe to use. However, as with any electrical
appliance – care must be taken during use.
• CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to
inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out,
this appliance must not be supplied through
an external switching device, such as a
timer, or connected to a circuit that is
regularly switched on and off by the utility.
• Disconnect the power from the appliance
before dismantling, assembling or cleaning.
• Avoid touching any moving parts of the
appliance.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or any other
objects through the guard.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities. It is
also not intended for use by those with a
lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure
they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not clean the unit by spraying it or
immersing it in water.
• Never connect the unit to an electrical
outlet using an extension cord or multi-
socket. If a power outlet is not available, a
qualified electrician should install one.
• Never operate this appliance if the unit is
damaged. Call the retailer first. Ensure the
power cord is not stretched or exposed to
sharp objects or edges.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
• An authorised service representative should
perform any service other than regular
cleaning or filter replacement. Failure to
comply could result in a voided warranty.
• The unit must be disconnected from the
power prior to any cleaning, maintenance or
servicing.
• This unit contains a UVC light source, which
is inaccessible.
• The unit must only be opened by a suitably
competent engineer when the power is
disconnected and after reading the service
manual.
• Unintended use or damage to the casing
may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C
radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in small
doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin.
• Do not use the appliance for any purpose
other than its intended use.
• Do not tilt the unit while in use. The unit is
designed to work only in a vertical position.
This dehumidifier must always be stored
upright; otherwise, irreparable damage may
be caused.

• Avoid restarting the dehumidifier until 5
minutes have passed after it has been
turned off.
• Never use the mains plug as a switch to start
or turn off the dehumidifier. Instead, use the
power button provided on the control panel.
• Always place the unit on a dry and stable
surface.
• The appliance should not be installed in a
laundry or wet room where the humidity is
higher than 85% RH. This unit should be
operated at an ambient temperature
between 5°C and 32°C.
• Do not dry laundry directly above the unit.
To prevent water from entering the
dehumidifier, laundry should be placed at
least 40 cm away from the dehumidifier.
• Do not place the unit next to heat sources
(e.g. electrical fires, fireplaces, etc.)
• Do not store or use gasoline, petrol, paint,
solvents or other flammable vapours and
liquids in the vicinity of this dehumidifier or
any other appliance. Do not use
dehumidifiers where flammable gases or
VOCs can be released or accumulate.
• Do not use or store the unit in a room
smaller than 4 m². For the CD35LECOPLUS
model, the minimum room size is 4.5 m².
ENERGY SAVING AND UNIT SAFETY
PROTECTION TIPS
• Do not cover or restrict the airflow from the
outlet or inlet grills.
• For maximum performance, the unit should
be operated at least 20 cm away from walls
and 50 cm from other objects within the
room. Whilst storing the unit when not in use,
ensure the same ventilation clearances as in
operation. Do not store anything on top of or
leaning against the unit.
• Always store the unit in a dry room away
from direct sunlight.
• Keep the appliance's filters and grills clean.
Under normal conditions, filters and grills
should only need cleaning once every three
weeks (approximately). Do not use the unit
without the mesh air filter, as this will allow
dirt to gather inside the dehumidifier, which
could invalidate the warranty.
• A dirty filter restricts the airflow into the
machine, increasing the resistance of the fan.
This can damage the unit and invalidate your
warranty.
• Since the filters remove airborne particles,
more frequent cleaning may be necessary
depending on the air quality. Vacuum and
wash the mesh filters with hot, soapy water
and dry them before placing them back in the
unit.

INFORMATION ON INDOOR POLLUTANTS
VOC (Volatile Organic Compound): VOCs come from motor vehicle exhaust, gasoline vapour, pollutants
such as formaldehyde and ammonia, many common chemical solvents such as paints and glues, and can be
a by-product of mould growth. VOCs irritate the eyes and/or nose as well as cause headaches, nausea and
even potential damage to the central nervous system. Pressed-wood furniture, newly decorated rooms,
and paint and cleaning solvents are common sources of VOCs.
Mould / Fungus: These can affect our respiratory system and cause allergic reactions, such as a runny
nose, eye and throat irritation, headaches, fatigue, and aggravation of asthma.
Other indoor pollutants include bacteria, viruses, dust mites and pollen.
Emissions from electronic office equipment: Many studies, including those from the EPA and the
University of California Berkeley have reported that emissions from office equipment such as computers
and printers include VOCs, ultra-fine particles and ozone. These emissions have been shown to negatively
affect the health of many people, and they can be reduced with an air purifier.
Using HEPA and Carbon filters: An effective HEPA filter is necessary to remove particles, even at the
microscopic level; it prevents their spread. Ionisers will sterilise the air and reduce bacterial growth.
The carbon filter will absorb unpleasant odours and reduce the VOC content in the air, while the Ioniser
will sterilise the air and reduce bacterial growth. UV light uses short-wave ultraviolet light to inactivate
airborne pathogens and microorganisms such as mould, bacteria and viruses.

These dehumidifiers use compressor technology to extract water from the environment. They are ideal for
normal domestic or office environments that are heated during the winter months and maintain a
temperature above 12-15⁰C.
This dehumidifier is easy to move on castors and is designed to remove excess humidity while saving
money thanks to its power-saving logic. It features an intelligent humidistat that lets you adjust the desired
relative humidity in 5% increments between 35 and 80%, ensuring the air in your room is not too dry and
that power is not wasted.
Remove any water from within the water tank before starting the unit. To save energy, do not open windows
or doors while the unit is running. Place the unit on a hard/flat surface. On first use, run the unit continuously
for 24 hours.
TO REDUCE NOISE LEVELS: Place a piece of carpet or a rubber mat under the unit to reduce vibrations
while it is running. Also, ensure it is placed on a flat, level surface.

CONTROL PANEL
POWER Button
Turn the appliance on/off.
MODE Button
You can select the unit's operating mode between SMART, LAUNDRY, DEHUMIDIFY, and
PURIFY.
SMART MODE: The unit will default to SMART mode the first time it is switched on and
will remain in this mode until another program is chosen. In smart mode, it will aim for a
relative humidity of 55% and adjust the fan accordingly. This mode is ideal and
recommended, as the compressor runs only when necessary. This saves energy and
keeps your room at the ideal humidity.
PURIFY: In this mode, only the fan runs, and water is not extracted. You can select the
fan speed you desire. This is to be used in conjunction with the optional filters, but it
can also be run without them to operate as a fan. Use with the UV and ioniser for
optimum purification.
DEHUMIDIFY: The unit removes moisture from the air. The increase and decrease
buttons allow you to set the desired humidity level between 35% and 80%. In this mode,
you can also change the fan speed.
LAUNDRY: The dehumidifier runs continuously at the highest fan speed, with a target
humidity of 35% to remove as much moisture as possible, which is ideal for drying
clothes. This will not turn off until you turn it off or the tank is full.
INCREASE AND DECREASE Buttons
Use the INCREASE and DECREASE buttons to select the desired relative humidity level in
dehumidify mode; the default is 55% and can be adjusted in 5% increments. When a
relative humidity of 35% is selected, the compressor will not stop until the water tank is
full.
SPEED Button
Press the SPEED button to change the fan speed to TURBO, MEDIUM, or QUIET.
Each speed has two modes, which will be shown on the display. TURBO = F6 / F5,
MEDIUM = F4 / F3, QUIET = F2 / F1.

TIMER Button
Press the TIMER button to program the timer. When the timer is activated, the "TIMER"
light will illuminate. When the light is off, the timer is deactivated. The following timer
programs are available.
DELAYED POWER-ON FUNCTION: With the appliance on standby, press the TIMER
button, then use the increase and decrease buttons to set how many hours you require
the unit to start (0~24 hours).
DELAYED POWER-OFF FUNCTION: While the appliance is running with the desired
settings, press the TIMER button, then use the increase and decrease buttons to set
how many hours you require the unit to stop (0~24 hours).
WI-FI: Press and hold the TIMER button for 3 seconds to turn on the WI-FI function. See
the Wi-Fi Section for more information.
SLEEP: Press the SLEEP button to enter sleep mode. The sleep indicator will illuminate,
and all other lights will turn off. The unit will run at low fan speed. To exit Sleep mode,
press the SLEEP button again.
UV and IONISER Button
Press to select the UV function, press once more to switch to the IONISER function, and
press again to turn both functions on and one final time to turn them both off.
SWING Button
Press to activate the swing function, and the swing indicator will light up. Press again to
lock the Louvre in this position.
CHILD LOCK
Hold the button for 3 seconds to lock the control panel. All buttons, except the LOCK
button for unlocking the panel, are locked. Hold again for 3 seconds to unlock.
INTELLIGENT DEFROST
The appliance defrosts automatically when the coil sensor detects that the internal
temperature is too low. During defrosting, the fan speed is TURBO, and the indicator
lights up. Once the defrost cycle has finished, the appliance returns to its previous
operating mode if it was previously on SMART, SLEEP, DEHUMIDIFY or LAUNDRY.
TANK-FULL
When the water tank is full, the TANK FULL indicator light will flash, and the unit will stop
operating. Once emptied and replaced, the appliance will resume operation.
OPTIONAL CARBON AND HEPA FILTERS (Air purification function)
Insert the filters into the filter housing. It is recommended to hoover the filters every 2-3
weeks and replace them every 3-6 months, as this will help ensure the room stays fresh
and odour-free. If the filters are fitted correctly, the unit will detect the magnets and
automatically increase the fan speed.

IMPORTANT: Your dehumidifier contains an advanced micro-CPU-controlled device capable of self-
diagnostics. The LCD may also show errors and protection codes.
HUMIDITY LEVEL & TIMER 2-DIGIT DISPLAY
The LED indicator performs the following functions:
1. When the unit is plugged in, it will indicate the humidity level of the room.
2. When the increase and decrease buttons are pressed, they will indicate the
desired humidity currently set, then revert to the current humidity.
3. When the timer is programmed, it will show the duration inputted before
reverting back to the current humidity.
Note: If the ambient humidity is below 20%, it will display “LO.” If it is higher than 90%, it will show “HI.” In
both instances, the dehumidifying function will continue to operate.
There is also a display on the front of the unit that indicates the room's
current humidity level.
RED = High humidity, above 70%.
ORANGE = Comfortable, 60-70%.
GREEN = Dry, below 60%.
OTHER FEATURES AND INDICATORS
TANK FULL LIGHT
When the water tank is full, removed or incorrectly inserted, the unit will stop dehumidifying, the tank full
light will illuminate, and the unit will beep. Empty the tank and reinsert it correctly to resume operation.
AUTO DEFROST
When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor cycles off, and the unit enters defrost mode.
Following the defrost mode's completion, the unit returns to its previous operating settings.
The unit will defrost more frequently if the room humidity is high or if the ambient temperature is cold. The
defrost mode lasts 8-11 minutes.
HUMIDISTAT CONTROL AND FAN/COMPRESSOR OPERATION
• When the room humidity is 2% lower than the desired humidity, the compressor will turn off
automatically.
• When the humidity of the room is equal to or higher than the desired humidity, the compressor will
restart after a 3-minute delay to protect the compressor.
AUTO-RESTART
If the unit stops unexpectedly due to the power cut, it will restart with the previous function selected
automatically when the power resumes and the 3-minute compressor protection has elapsed.
POWER
After the unit has stopped, it is recommended to wait at least 5 minutes before resuming operation to
protect the compressor. The operation can resume after this period lapses. When the unit is restarted,
there is a 3-minute delay before the compressor starts.

QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
Power Button: Press to turn the dehumidifier on and off.
SMART Mode: This is designed for maximum convenience and defaults to the
ideal domestic environment humidity level of 50-55% while saving electricity.
This is the default mode and is recommended for most users.
During operation, the compressor will run until the desired humidity is reached, then stop. The fan moves
air around the room, ensuring the entire room's air is processed and humidity is accurately measured.
DEHUMIDIFY MODE: This is the standard operating mode for which the desired humidity can be set using
the increase and decrease buttons.
LAUNDRY MODE: When drying clothes, the dehumidifier should operate continuously with maximum
water extraction until the water tank is full. Do not place clothes directly over any of the dehumidifier's
vents. Make sure nothing is blocking the hot-air exhaust airflow, and for best results, place the laundry
within 1.5 meters of the dehumidifier.
Increase and Decrease Buttons: When in dehumidify mode, the unit displays the
current relative humidity; these buttons adjust the desired humidity level. The
desired relative humidity can be set between 35 and 80% in 5% increments.
Timer: Press the timer button, then use the buttons to adjust the timer
duration (1-24 hrs, start/stop timer).
If set while the unit is running, the number will indicate how many hours the unit will operate before
turning off. This will not be affected if the unit enters defrost mode or the tank is emptied and reinserted.
If set while the unit is on standby, the set number represents the period in hours after which the unit will
start. To cancel start/stop mode, press the timer key again.
NOTES:
• If a permanent drainage pipe is fitted, the unit will not stop operating. Setting the desired humidity
to around 35% is good for laundry mode, a quick-drying boost, or emergencies. It is not
recommended for long-term normal operation in a domestic or office environment.
• To allow more moisture in the air, press the up button and set the humidity to a higher desired
level (e.g., 60-70%).
• We recommend setting the Humidity to 50-55%. This is great for domestic operations and dry
storage.
• Setting the humidity to 60% is great for personal comfort and applications where 50% RH is
considered too dry.
• Setting the humidity to 70% is ideal for unoccupied properties or where an economical run is
needed without the need to reduce the humidity further.

POSITIONING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
A badly positioned dehumidifier will have little effect. When positioning the dehumidifier, please ensure
air circulation is not restricted around the unit.
Allow at least 20 cm of space around the unit. This dehumidifier is designed only for indoor residential or
small office applications, and any commercial or industrial use will invalidate the warranty.
For maximum efficiency, use in an enclosed area, closing all doors and windows to create an effective
operating environment. Do not use outdoors.
Your electriQ dehumidifier will begin to protect your space from the harmful effects of excessive moisture
as soon as it is turned on. Excess moisture is dispersed throughout your home. For this reason, the
dehumidifier should be positioned in a central, unobstructed location so it can draw moist air from all over
the home. A warm hallway or landing is an excellent position for your dehumidifier. If possible, leave interior
doors ajar to allow air circulation.
Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one area, you can start by placing the dehumidifier there and
move it to a more central location later. For the most effective use, run your dehumidifier with external
doors and windows kept closed. Please note that the unit should not be placed directly against a radiator
or other heat source.
Before moving the appliance, the water tank should be emptied. The handle on the appliance is designed
to facilitate movement and should not be used to support the dehumidifier's full weight. When carrying the
unit, keep it upright and sufficiently supported by its base. The handle should not be used if there are any
signs of damage to its fixings.
When positioning your electriQ dehumidifier, ensure it is clear of any obstacles that may limit airflow. Place
the dehumidifier on a flat, dry surface.
Note: Do not force castors to move over carpet or uneven surfaces, nor move the unit with water in the
tank, as it may tip over and spill water.

WATER DRAINAGE
When the water tank is full, the unit stops automatically. The TANK FULL light illuminates on the control
panel.
NOTE: Only empty the water tank when it is full or before moving, turning off or storing the unit.
There are two ways to dispense collected water.
1. USE THE TANK
When the tank is full, the unit will automatically stop running, and
the Tank Full indicator will flash.
Slowly pull out the tank. Securely grip the tank by its handle and
carefully pull it out. Empty the water tank and reinsert it into the
dehumidifier. The tank must be in place and securely seated for the
dehumidifier to operate again. The dehumidifier will restart when
the tank is restored to its correct position.
NOTES:
• When you remove the water tank, please do not touch the
sensors or any parts behind it. Doing so may damage the
product.
• Be sure to push the tank gently all the way into the unit. Banging the tank against anything or
failing to push it in securely may prevent the unit from operating.
• Do not remove any parts from the water tank or tank enclosure. The full water sensor will no longer
accurately detect the water level, which may result in a leak.
2. CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE (PIPE NOT SUPPLIED)
Water can be automatically plumbed in or drained into a sink, a larger container, or through the wall into
an outside drain by attaching a pipe (10 mm internal diameter) to the unit. Insert the pipe into the drain
outlet at the back of the unit, as shown here.
Make sure the connection between the pipe and the drain outlet is tight and leak-free. Then, direct the pipe
to a suitable drainage point.
• This unit uses gravity to dispose of water, so the drain should be lower than the water outlet on the
unit.
• The water tank must be in position in the unit for it to operate.
• Be sure to run the water pipe downward and let the water flow out smoothly.
• Do not kink or bend the pipe.
• The maximum pipe length is 1 metre. For longer distances, an uplift pump must be used.
The permanent drain can be used in conjunction with a water pump (e.g. when draining from a cellar) to
lift the water upwards.

THE REMOTE CONTROL (AVAILABLE SEPARATELY)
A remote control is available (sold separately) to work with this range of dehumidifiers under the model

PROFMRM-REMOTE CONTROL
In addition to enabling simple control of the dehumidifier, it includes an inbuilt humidistat that allows it to
operate based on readings from the remote.
PAIRING THE REMOTE
On first use, or after replacing the batteries, the remote must be paired with the dehumidifier. To do this,
follow the steps below:
1) Turn on the dehumidifier
2) Press and hold the UV button on the dehumidifier for 3 seconds. The UV indicator will start to flash.
3) Press any button on the remote control to pair.
Once pairing is successful, the buzzer will sound once, and the UV indicator light will stop flashing.
USING THE REMOTE

UNDERSTANDING THE DISPLAY ON THE REMOTE
FOLLOW ME
The FOLLOW ME mode allows the humidity of the room to be measured away from the inside of the
dehumidifier, instead by using the humidistat built into the remote control. To activate, press the FOLLOW
ME button, and the dehumidifier will receive an update on the current humidity from the remote control
every 30 minutes. When the mode is active, the indicator on the remote will flash every 3 seconds.

SETTING UP THE WI-FI APP
This is designed as a general guide to the setup. There may be differences in the interface and available
features due to product development and the model's features.
BEFORE YOU START
• Ensure your router provides a standard 2.4 GHz connection.
• If your router is dual-band, ensure that both networks have different network names (SSIDs). Your router's
provider, or Internet service provider, can offer advice specific to your router.
• Place the dehumidifier as close as possible to the router during setup.
• Once the app has been installed on your phone, turn off the data connection and ensure your phone is
connected to your router via Wi-Fi.
DOWNLOAD THE APP TO YOUR PHONE
You can download the “TUYA SMART” app from your preferred app store using the QR codes below or by
searching for the app in your store.
CONNECTION METHODS AVAILABLE FOR SETUP
Before starting the setup, please ensure that your dehumidifier is in standby.
To activate the unit's WI-FI, press and hold the TIMER button for 3 seconds while it is on standby.
Follow the instructions on the app to connect using Bluetooth or AP mode connection.

multiple houses. As such, during setup, the app requires you to create and name different areas to enable
easy management of all your devices. When you add devices, they are assigned to one of the rooms you
have created.

CONNECTING USING AP MODE
Before initiating the connection, make sure the unit is in standby mode, with the WI-FI light flashing once
per second. Ensure your phone is connected to the WI-FI network. (We advise turning mobile data off
during setup)
1. Open app and press “+” to
add device, or use the add
device button
2. Select the type of device
as “Dehumidifier”
3. Select the 2.4 GHz
connection, enter your WI-FI
password and press Next.
4. Ensure the WI-FI light on the
dehumidifier is slowly
flashing (once every three
seconds), then select AP
Mode in the top right corner
before pressing the bottom
of the screen to confirm.
5. Go to network setting in your
phone and connect the
“SmartLife xxx” connection,
then press on the orange
button at the bottom of the
screen to confirm.
6. Go to network settings in your
phone and connect to the
“SmartLife xxx” connection.
There is no password to
enter. Then return back to
the app to complete setup.
This will then transfer the settings to the dehumidifier.
Once the connection process has completed, go back to the network settings on your phone to ensure
your phone has reconnected to your WI-FI router.

The device screen is the main control screen for the dehumidifier, providing access to the controls to
modify its functions.

SMART SCENES
Smart Scenes is a powerful tool that lets you customise the dehumidifier's operation based on both in-
room conditions and external influences. This gives the user the option of specifying much more intelligent
actions. These are split into two categories: Scene and Automation.
SCENE
Scene allows for a one-touch button to be added to the Home screen. The button can be used to change
multiple settings in one go, affecting all settings within the unit. A number of scenes can be set up,
allowing the user to switch between preset configurations.
Below is an example of how to set up a scene:
1. Press the Smart Scene tab at
the bottom of the Home
screen

4. Press the Pen next to “Please
Enter Scene Name” to input the
name for your Scene

AUTOMATION
Automation allows an automatic action to be set up for the device. This can be triggered by the Time,
indoor temperature, humidity of the room, weather conditions, and a range of other influences.
1. Press the Smart Scene tab
at the bottom of the Home
screen

3. Select Automation to
create a new Automation

4. Setup is very similar to the scene
setup on the previous page and includes
an extra section for specifying a trigger
for the scene to start.

condition is satisfied” to add the trigger
Press the Red Plus next to “Execute
following actions” to add the action
required. Then select the dehumidifier
from the list of devices.
6. Choose the function, set
the value for the function,
and then press the back
button in the top right
corner to return to the
previous screen.
5. Select the condition when the
automation should start. A
number of triggers can be
combined.
7. Once all the functions required have
been added, press the Save button in the
top right corner to finalise and save your
new scene.
The automation is now set up; it can be
turned on and off using the toggle on the
image shown on step 2.

DEVICE DETAILS SCREEN
The device details screen lets you edit the device's details and access some
of its additional features. The device details screen can be accessed from
the device screen by pressing on the symbol in the top right-hand corner.
CHANGING THE NAME OF YOUR DEVICE
The top option in this allows you to change the device name to something
relevant to the product's use, such as “Living Room Dehumidifier”. In the
menu, you can also set up a pattern lock or change your password.
DEVICE SHARING
This allows you to share access to your dehumidifier's controls with friends
and family.
PROFILE TAB
The Profile tab lets you make changes to the app, such as setting up a
username and adding or editing rooms.
In the Profile tab, you can also change settings related to the app itself.
CONNECTION TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Check whether the device is powered on and is in standby mode; if not,
please refer to the CHANGING BETWEEN CONNECTION MODES section.
2. Ensure the network you are connecting to is 2.4 GHz (5 GHz Wi-Fi networks are not supported), and that
there is a strong Wi-Fi signal to the item.
3. Check that the phone is connected to the Wi-Fi you are connecting the device to.
4. Ensure the Wi-Fi password has been entered into the app correctly (case-sensitive)
5. If your router is dual-band, ensure that the 2.4 GHz network has a different network name (SSID).
Further advice on changing router settings will be available from your Internet service provider / Router
manufacturer.
6. Check the settings on the router. Encryption should be WPA2-PSK, and the authorisation type should be
set to AES

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always shut off the unit and unplug it from the mains before cleaning or performing any maintenance. When
it is not in use for long periods, it is advisable to remove the plug from the power socket. Do not use chemical
solvents (such as benzene, alcohol or gasoline), as they may cause irreversible damage to the unit.
1. CLEAN THE GRILLE AND CASE
Use water and a mild detergent to clean the
washable mesh filter. Do not use bleach or
abrasives. Do not splash water directly onto
the main unit. Doing so may cause an electrical
shock, deteriorate the insulation, or cause the
unit to rust. The air intake and outlet grilles get
soiled easily, so use a vacuum attachment or
soft brush to clean them. Wipe the
dehumidifier body with a soft, damp cloth or
kitchen towel.
Remove the filter housing. If the optional filters are fitted, remove them from the frame and hoover gently
approximately every 2-3 weeks.
If the mesh filter is dirty, hoover it. If it is heavily soiled, wash it with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly
before reinserting it in the unit. When filter cleaning is finished and the filters are dry, place them back into
the unit. The optional filters should be replaced every 3 – 6 months.
NOTE: While the HEPA and Carbon filters are optional, never run the unit without the mesh filter housing
correctly inserted.
2. CLEAN THE WATER TANK
Dry and wipe the tank each time you turn the unit off to prevent mould or bacteria from growing in stagnant
water. Clean the tank every few weeks to prevent the growth of mould, mildew, and bacteria. Partially fill
the tank with clean water and add a little mild detergent. Swish it around, then empty the tank and rinse.
NOTE: Do not use a dishwasher to clean the tank. After cleaning and drying, the tank must be securely
reinserted into a dehumidifier to restart operation.
END-OF-SEASON MAINTENANCE
1. Empty and clean the water tank.
2. Clean the unit and the filters as per the cleaning procedure above.
3. Coil the power cord on the special cord storage rest at the back of the unit.
4. Cover the unit and keep it in a dry place.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why doesn’t the dehumidifier seem to extract much water if the temperature is low?
This is a compressor dehumidifier which works best in temperatures above 15 °C. If the temperature is
low and the air is drier than the humidistat setting, the unit will not extract water. If you want to use a
dehumidifier for outside buildings, unheated properties, boats or garages, please check our desiccant
range.
Why doesn’t the unit work /or stops suddenly?
The water tank may be full or displaced. To rectify, empty the tank and carefully return it to the unit. Also,
the unit may be running in dehumidifying mode with a low room temperature. Please check whether the
room temperature is below 5 °C. If so, the unit will stop working while in dehumidifying mode. (The unit
may be defrosting.)
The ambient operating range is between 5 °C and 35 °C, with a relative humidity of 30% to 80%. For
maximum efficiency, use the unit between 15 °C and 32 °C.
Sometimes cold and/or hot air comes out from the air outlet grill. Why?
When the unit is in dehumidifying mode, it draws in humid air from the room and cools it to reduce
humidity.
During the cold cycle, cold air should be coming out of the unit.
During the hot cycle, hot dry air should be coming out of the outlet grill.
