3 Get started
Charge the battery
Note
Charging case
Plug one end of the USB-C cable into the
charging case and the other end into the
power source.
Tips
Put the earbuds into the charging case
and close the case.

How to wear
Insert the earbuds

Before you use your earbuds, place them
in the charging case and charge the battery
for 2 hours for optimum battery capacity and
lifetime.
Use only the original USB-C charging cable to
avoid any damage.
Finish your call before charging. Connect the
earbuds to the charger, the earbuds will turn
off automatically.
If the earbuds are not used for a long time
the rechargeable battery will begin to lose its
charge.To avoid this loss, please fully charge
the battery at least once every three months.
The charging case serves as a portable backup
battery for charging the earbuds. When
the charging case is fully charged, it will fully
recharge the earbuds 2.5 times.
Earbuds
Check left or right orientation of the
earbuds.
Insert the earbuds into the ears
and twist slightly until a secure �t is
achieved.
Normally, a full charge takes 1.5 hours ( for the
earbuds or charging case) by USB cable.

If you want to pair another Bluetooth
device with the earbuds, simply
disconnect the current connected
Bluetooth device and pair it with the
other device using the usual pairing

Pair the earbuds with
your Bluetooth device for
the �rst time
Make sure that the earbuds are fully
charged and turned off.
The earbuds are now in pairing
mode and are ready to pair with
a Bluetooth device (e.g.a mobile
phone)
Pair the eabuds with your
Bluetooth device, refer to the user
manual of your Bluetooth device.
After powering on, if the earbuds can't �nd
any previously connected Bluetooth device, put
them into pairing mode (if the last connected
device is unavailable, the earbuds wil enter
pairing mode one minute later).
The following example shows you how
to pair the earbuds with your Bluetooth
device.
Enter the earbuds password “0000
(4 zeros) if prompted. For those
devices featuring Bluetooth 3.0 or
higher, there is no need to enter a
password.
Single earbuds (Mono mode)
Take either right or left earbuds
out from charging case then close
the charging case for Mono use, the
earbuds will turn on automatically.
Open the charging case, the earbuds will pair
with each other automatically.
The earbuds can store 4 devices in the
memory. lf you try to pair more than four
devices, the earliest paired device will be
replaced by the new one.

last connected Bluetooth device
and automatically reconnect with
it. If the last connected device is
unavailable, the earbuds will
automatically enter pairing mode,
and users can discover the
earbuds on their phone and
choose to connect them.

asked
questions
The battery level is low. Charge the
earbuds.
Bluetooth is disabled. Enable the
Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth
device and turn on the Bluetooth device
before you turn on the earbuds.
Make sure you have disabled the
Bluetooth function of any previously
connected Bluetooth devices.
On your Bluetooth device, delete
“Philips TAT1040 from the Bluetooth
list.
Make sure your mobile phone not
only supports (mono) HFP but also
supports A2DP and is BT4.0x (or higher)
compatible (see
Technical data
on
page 9).
Pair your earbuds (see 'Pair the
earbuds with your Bluetooth device
for the �rst time’ on page 6).
My Bluetooth earbuds do not turn on
I cannot pair my Bluetooth earbuds
with my Bluetooth device.
The Bluetooth device cannot �nd the
earbuds.
The earbuds may be connected to a
previously paired device. Turn off the
connected device or move it out of
range.
Pairing may have been reset or the
earbuds have been previously
paired with another device. Pair
the earbuds with the Bluetooth
device again as described in the user
manual.(see 'Pair the earbuds with
your Bluetooth device for the �rst
time' on page 6).
My Bluetooth earbuds are connected
to a Bluetooth stereo enabled mobile
phone, but music only plays on the
mobile phone speaker.
Refer to the user manual of your mobile
phone. Select to listen to music through
the earbuds.
Put both earbuds into charging

The Bluetooth device is out of range.
Reduce the distance between your
earbuds and Bluetooth device, or
