Installing the Smart Wall Plug
Plug your smart wall plug into an outlet. The right LED will blink green.
The smart wall plug is ready for network conguration with the Alexa app.
Use the 2D barcode to complete setup.
Setting Up the Smart Wall Plug with Alexa
You can set up the smart wall plug with the 2D barcode on this User
Manual (recommended) or on the back of the product. You can also set it
up without a 2D barcode.
Setting Up with the User Manual 2D barcode (Recommended)
NOTICE
Certain devices may automatically connect to
Alexa using Amazon’s Frustration-Free Setup technology.
1. Download the latest version of Alexa app from the app store, then
log in.
2. Plug in the Amazon Basics smart wall plug.
3. In the Alexa app, tap More from the bottom menu, then tap Add
Device.
4. Tap Plug, then tap Amazon Basics, and tap Smart Plug With Motion
Sensor.
5. Follow the steps in the Alexa app to complete setup. When prompted,
scan the 2D barcode on this User Manual.
NOTICE
Do not scan the barcode on the packaging.
If the 2D barcode scan fails, refer to “Alternative Setup
Methods”.
Alternative Setup Methods
Option 1: Setting Up with the 2D Barcode on the Product
1. Download the latest version of the Alexa app from the app store,
then log in.
2. Open the Alexa app, tap the More icon to add a device. Scan the 2D
Barcode on back of the product when prompted.
3. Plug in the Amazon Basics smart wall plug.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Alexa app to complete setup.
NOTICE
Do not scan the barcode on the packaging. If
the 2D barcode scan fails or you lose this User Manual, refer to
“Option 2: Setting Up without the 2D Barcode”.
Option 2: Setting Up without the 2D Barcode
Use these instructions if the 2D barcode setup does not work.
1. Power on the Amazon Basics smart wall plug.
2. In the Alexa app, tap More from the bottom menu, then tap Add
Device.
3. Tap Plug, then tap Amazon Basics, and tap Smart Plug With Motion
Sensor.
4. When prompted to scan the 2D barcode, tap DON’T HAVE A
BARCODE?
5. Tap NEXT, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Using the Smart Wall Plug
Control your smart wall plug with the Alexa app or with the buttons on
the smart wall plug.
Controlling the Left/Right Outlet and graphic
Each of the outlets has a button that controls that side’s outlet.
» Press it once to activate the outlet. The LED lights green when the
outlet is ON.
Using the Night Light
Use the Alexa app to turn the night light on, o, or adjust brightness.
The night light automatically illuminates when motion is detected by the
motion sensor or during low-light conditions detected by the light sensor.
You can set 5 room light levels in the Alexa app: dark, dim, medium,
bright, and very bright. If a room’s light level is below the threshold for a
light mode, it is considered a dark environment.
If the smart wall plug is connected to Alexa:
» When the smart wall plug Automatic Control is turned on:
» The night light can be controlled with the Alexa app, voice
command, motion detection, and a room’s light level.
» When motion is detected by the motion sensor the night light
brightens to the level you’ve set for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds,
the night light sets to 1% brightness if it’s dark or turns o if it’s
not dark.
» When the smart wall plug Automatic Control is turned o, the night
light can only be controlled with the Alexa app or voice command.
If the smart wall plug is not connected to Alexa:
» If there’s no motion in a dark room, the night light is set to 1%. When
motion is detected, the night light brightens to 70% for 30 seconds.
» When the room is lit, the night light turns o.

Resetting to Factory Defaults
» Press and hold the left and right outlet buttons for 10 seconds until
the right LED blinks red and green alternately. The right LED blinks
green while it is waiting for a network connection.
OR
» Delete the smart wall plug from the Alexa app.
Troubleshooting
If the smart wall plug is not functioning properly, try the following
solutions. If you have any doubt about installation/use of this product,
consult a qualied electrician.
Problem
Alexa can’t discover the smart wall plug.
Solutions
» Make sure you scan the 2D barcode on this User Manual or
on the back of the smart wall plug for setup. Do not scan the
barcode on the packaging.
» Make sure your device has the latest version of the Alexa app.
» Make sure your device and the smart wall plug are on the same
2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The smart wall plug is not compatible
with 5GHz networks.
» If you have a dual Wi-Fi router and both network signals have
the same name, rename one and try reconnecting to the 2.4GHz
network.
» Make sure that your device is within 3 m (9.84 ft.) of the smart
wall plug.
» Perform a factory reset. See “Resetting to Factory Defaults” on
page 1.
Problem
The smart wall plug is not giving or receiving power.
Solutions
» Make sure the power outlet is active and the smart wall plug is
rmly plugged in.
» Make sure you press left/right button once to activate the left/
right outlet.

Utiliser la veilleuse
Utilisez l’application Alexa pour allumer, éteindre ou régler la luminosité
de la veilleuse. La veilleuse s’allume automatiquement lorsque le détecteur
de mouvement détecte un mouvement ou lorsque le capteur de lumière
détecte des conditions de faible luminosité. Vous pouvez dénir5niveaux
d’éclairage pour une pièce dans l’application Alexa: sombre, faible,
moyen, lumineux et très lumineux. Si le niveau d’éclairage d’une pièce
est inférieur au seuil des modes d’éclairage, on considère qu’il s’agit d’un

Conecta el enchufe de pared inteligente a una toma de corriente. El LED
derecho parpadeará en verde. El enchufe de pared inteligente está listo

Uso de la luz nocturna
Usa la aplicación de Alexa para encender, apagar o ajustar el brillo de
la luz nocturna. La luz nocturna se ilumina automáticamente cuando el
sensor de movimiento detecta movimiento o en condiciones de poca luz
detectadas por el sensor de luz. Puedes congurar 5 niveles de iluminación
de la habitación en la aplicación de Alexa: oscuro, tenue, medio, brillante y
muy brillante. Si el nivel de iluminación de una habitación está por debajo
del umbral para un modo de iluminación, se considera un entorno oscuro.
Si el enchufe de pared inteligente está conectado a Alexa:
» Cuando el control automático del enchufe de pared inteligente está
encendido:
» La luz nocturna se puede controlar con la aplicación de Alexa,
el comando de voz, la detección de movimiento y el nivel de
iluminación de la habitación.
» Cuando el sensor de movimiento detecta movimiento, la luz
nocturna se ilumina hasta el nivel que has establecido durante

This GCC Runtime Library Exception (“Exception”) is an additional permission
under section 7 of the GNU General Public License, version 3 (“GPLv3”). It
applies to a given le (the “Runtime Library”) that bears a notice placed by

Although libwebsockets is available under a permissive license, it does not
change the reality of dealing with large lumps of external code... if your
