TROUBLESHOOTING AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
GENERAL USE
Why are the UI buttons on
the fan head not working?
Make sure the fan has battery power by pressing the Power
button. If the Battery LED indicator blinks red, then the fan
needs to be charged. When the fan is charging, the battery
LED will blink green. See the Battery Life and How To Use
Your Fan sections for more detailed information on runtimes
and battery indicators.
If all the LEDs are flashing, the fan may be in Lock mode,
which deactivates the fan to allow you to safely maintain or
travel with it. To turn o Lock mode, press the Power
icon
on the fan and hold it down for 8 seconds. When Lock mode
is successfully deactivated, the LEDs will display the Power On
pattern. See the Maintenance section for more information.
Why is the battery light flashing
red when I am trying to turn on
BreezeBoost™ mode?
If the battery level is low, BreezeBoost mode cannot be
activated. Charge the fan battery to use BreezeBoost.
Why are the misting and battery
lights flashing when I try to activate
the misting feature?
If the battery level is low, the misting feature cannot be
activated. Charge the fan battery to use misting.
Why did misting shut o?
Misting will automatically shut o after 1 hour in Consistent
mode and 2 hours in Interval mode to prevent dry running
and damaging the system.
If you refill the water tank during use, the timer may turn o
misting. To reactivate mist, press the Misting
icon on top of
the fan head. Repeat as needed.
DO NOT attempt to mist with an empty water tank.
Can I leave the fan outdoors?
This fan is rain-resistant and will not be damaged by light rain.
However, it is not suitable to withstand heavy rain or water
submersion. Do not charge or use your fan in the rain.
The second LED indicator and the
Battery LED (in amber) are flashing.
What is wrong?
This error state indicates an issue with the voltage of the
charger. Please be sure to only use the provided Shark™
charging cable and power supply.
MAINTENANCE
Why do I have to activate Lock
mode before maintenance?
The fan must be in Lock mode when any maintenance is
performed. Lock mode prevents the fan from accidentally
powering on.
It is also recommended to activate Lock mode when traveling
with the fan. See the Maintenance section for more information.
How often should I clean the fan? We recommend cleaning the fan every 6 months or as needed
How do I maintain the fan head?
Every 12 months or as needed, use a damp cloth to wipe
down the external surfaces of the fan to prevent buildup.
How often should I clean
the misting system?
Clean the misting system every week or as needed.
Using harder water will require more frequent cleaning.
See Maintenance section for more information on cleaning
the misting system.
Why isn’t my fan
misting eectively?
Ensure the misting cap located in the center of the fan gill
is fully open. See the Misting section for more information.
The misting system may clog if not maintained properly. See
the Maintenance section for details on cleaning instructions.
