Instructions
Begin by removing the dust cap from the pulley if applicable. If you are working with an
OWC pulley only one bit is needed, you can remove the pulley by turning left or right
depending on mfg. If you have an OAD pulley two bits are needed. In this case once
the proper bits are located for your make and model alternator, slide bit (A) over shaft
of bit (B) as pictured below. To remove these pulleys the shaft coming from alternator
needs to be locked in place while the pulley is spun either clockwise or counterclock-
wise, depending on the manufacturer. The opposite would be used in installation.
Note: You will notice that there appears to be duplicate bits, but these are in fact
included for clearance issues in certain vehicles so the alternator or other components
do not need to be removed.
