Usage Tips
Straightening Your Hair
1. Your hair should be dry and free of tangles before using the styling iron.
2. Plug the styler into an electrical outlet. Press and hold the On/Off Button until the
appliance turns on and the LED lights up.
3. Use the Temperature Control Buttons (+/−) to adjust the temperature. The
maximum temperature available in Plate Mode is 450° F. The display will flash
while the appliance heats up and then glow steadily when it has reached the
selected temperature.
4. Divide your hair into manageable sections and clip the upper layers on top of
your head out of the way. Work with underneath layers first.
5. Test the styler on a small section of hair. Then, adjust the temperature up or
down before styling the rest of your hair.
NOTE: If you find that you need a higher or lower temperature setting while
straightening your hair, simply adjust the setting. If you need a lower setting,
because the appliance is already hot, it may take a few minutes to cool off.
6. Take a small section of hair, pull it down and away from your scalp, and hold the
hair taut.
7. Starting at the roots, clamp your hair firmly between the plates and run the styler
down the entire hair strand from root to tip in one smooth stroke. Do not hold the
styler in one area for a long period of time because damage to hair may occur.
8. Repeat with all the sections of your hair, working with the underneath layers first
and then the top and sides to finish.
9. When you are finished styling, press and hold the On/Off Button to turn the
appliance off, unplug the appliance, and allow the appliance to cool
before storing.
1
The FlexiCover™ sleeve will become hot when in fl at iron mode. The LED light
will blink for 2 minutes while the FlexiCover™ sleeve is changed from fl at iron
mode to curler mode. Please wait 2 minutes before starting curling operation to
avoid burning your hands from contact with the FlexiCover™ sleeve.
2
Varies by hair type and technique.
3
Based on two individual heating systems vs. a standard REMINGTON
®
tool one
heating system.
Using the Temperature Control Buttons (+/−)
• Set to your desired temperature setting.
• During heat-up time, the LED temperature display will pulse until the desired
temperature is reached.
• When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the pulsing will stop and
the set temperature will be displayed.
Automatic Safety Shutoff
After approximately one hour, the appliance will automatically shut itself off. To
reactivate the appliance, press the On/Off Button.

Cleaning
Make sure the appliance is unplugged and cool. Use a damp cloth to clean the
plates and the outside of the power handle. No other maintenance of the appliance is
required. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
Storage
Unplug the appliance whenever it is not in use. Allow it to cool and then store it
out of reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Never wrap the cord around the appliance. This will cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break, thus voiding the warranty. Handle the cord carefully and
avoid jerking, twisting, or straining it, especially at plug connections. If the supply
cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

1. Select your desired barrel temperature,
press the plates together, and lock the
hinge to turn the appliance into a wand.
Wrap a ¾–1½-inch (2–4 cm) section
of hair around the barrel with the ends
wrapped last.
2. Keep your hair around the barrel by holding
the tips of the hair with your fingers. For
tight curls or harder-to-curl hair, hold the
appliance in place for up to 20seconds.
Hold for less time if you hair is easier to curl
or if you want loose curls or waves.
3. When you are ready to release the curl,
unwind about half a turn (slightly more for
longer hair). Release the tips of your hair

outward side is now inward.
3. Very slowly glide the styler in this
position down the entire length of
the hair without stopping.
4. Release your hair from the styler.
Repeat curling around the head.
1. Clamp a ¾–1½-inch (2–4 cm)
section of hair between the
unheated plates, clamping near
the roots.
2. Grasp the safety tip with the
other hand, slightly loosen the
styler, and gently roll the hair
onto the barrel while keeping
the hair taut.
3. For tight curls or harder-to-curl
hair, hold the appliance in place
for up to 20 seconds. Hold for
less time if your hair is easier to
curl or if you want loose curls
or waves.
4. When you are ready to release
the curl, unwind about half a turn
(slightly more for longer hair).
Release the hair that is clamped
between the plates and gently
withdraw the barrel from the
center of the curl.
5. Allow the curl to cool and try
not to disturb the curls while
proceeding in the same manner
around your whole head.
1. Place a ¾–1½-inch (2–4 cm)
section of hair between the plates
near the roots. Close the plates.
2. Hold the tips together and rotate the
styler upwards away from your head
one half turn only (180°). The formerly
outward side is now inward.
3. Very slowly glide the styler in this
position down the entire length of
the hair without stopping.
4. Release your hair from the styler.
Repeat curling around the head.
Barrel Mode, Wand Curling
In Plates Mode (flat iron), curl tightness may vary by the amount of time your hair is heated and the speed at which the appliance is used to curl. Slower speeds
and steady heat will result in tighter curls with a uniform shape. Quicker speeds with steady heat will result in looser curls and a more natural shape.
